Been a customer of this store for man, many years! Actually have bough three computers from them…read moreover the years, and their repair costs are very decent, and I've had issues where a problem still occurred and brought it back and they honored the original repair if it was within the same week I picked it up (and the same issue). That said, the PCs you get there are going to be very standard. Many will be the same specs at the big box stores, but will be cheaper, but if you're looking for a gaming or video production PC, you'd be better off building your own or hitting online PC stores that specialize in better systems - looking at a recent print-out for them, a lot of the specs for parts in the custom-built PCs aren't top-of-the-line. If you're looking for PCs to just do your home work or check on emails, maybe do some office work with spreadsheets, then you'll be fine. If you're building a PC, they have some parts on the wall in the rear of the store, but it's not a complete selection, as I've found problems in the past looking for parts there.

I only use it occasionally but when I do, it's important. First I called a local computer repair shop. They said it would be $90. Not the worst. Then I asked my friend if she would recommend her computer technician. She said yes enthusiastically and gave me the number for Technical Difficulties. When I asked him for a quote, he told me that different HP laptops may have more than one fan and that he would have to see it. Then he told me that if it's just the fan, I could try a laptop fan pad. Never heard of it! I bought one for under $30 and it solved the problem! What integrity!

One day I was accessing some files -- one minute the files were there and the next minute they were not readable. I panicked. I thought that the files were lost forever until I discovered that there were some companies out there that recover just this kind of lost data. https://www.yelp.com/biz/crb-computer-repair-brooklyn-brooklyn-2 -- recommended Technical Difficulties. I knew the cost could be very expensive, but I had to find out if it could be done and what they would charge. Avi at Technical Difficulties explained to me all the different possibilities before I agreed to send the flashdrive to a lab. I had a certain figure I had in mind that I would go up to because the journal entries were irreplaceable. After waiting a couple of weeks, I was told that most of the files could be recovered including the journal entries. I thought it was a miracle! The cost was not cheap, but reasonable. I was very happy with the service I received. I also very much appreciated how the process was communicated to me. There was never any pressure -- everything was left up to me. I highly recommend their service for data recovery. I was able to recover something that had a lot of sentimental value. Thank you so much Technical Difficulties!

It's such a time in this day and age when I want to build my own PC but have NO CLUE what I'm…read moredoing. Yes, YouTube tutorials are one thing but since I'm a hands on learner; sometimes I just can't get it. This 5 star is going to the wonderful Reinaldo! Who saw me looking clueless next to the available graphics cards. Micro center has such a wide variety of everything that it can get overwhelming but he helped me every step of the way and even took a look at the list I made. Constructive criticism may hurt my feelings but his advice wasn't to sway what I wanted but give me more perspective of how it will run in comparison to how it will look. With streaming and my art set up, he knew I'd need a better parts. At this point, I didn't mind paying a bit extra because he EXPLAINED why I would need them instead of just upselling me for the heck of it. 10/10 service and care. Also big 10/10 for micro center getting employees that are knowledgeable and love what they do. Along with having EVERYTHING. (If they don't, the employees can help you find it at a different micro or help you order it to home) Thank you!

Well, I just ended one of the absolute worst shopping experiences of my life. I left this review on…read moretheir other site too. I specifically came here after ordering a Web order of one of the two things they had - and then the following sequence of events happened. 1. My web order was not on the shelf, even though I had a confirmation email, they saw the confirmation email in their system, and then weren't able to find it after 10 minutes of searching. They then told me to go to the floor (no help, no direction on where to go) to go find what they lost 2. I am told to go to a sales representative on the floor. I tell him what I need, knowing that there is still one left in their inventory since I didn't buy them out with my Web order. He searches the generic name of the brother labels i'm looking for (literally "brother's label cartridge"), the results are very long, he doesn't go past the first page, and he tells me that they don't carry that here at all 3. I then show him the page on the website with the right name. He finally looks it up. he tells me it's an aisle seven and tells me to go there. 4. I go to aisle seven I search for another 10 minutes, no help from any staff at this point, and no cartridge to be found - neither the one I ordered online nor the one they had left in inventory. Look, I know mistakes happen, but there was a point of friction on every single step in this process. There was no accountability, no support when things went wrong, and no accommodation once the experience is wrapped up. I've had two negative and two neutral experiences. I've tried. I'm sorry. My ipad mini dropped by accident and the screen was cracked. It was still working fine except the glass was broken and you could easily get cut. Again, everything was working like normal and the screen was just cracked..that's all. The ipad was brought in for repair on a dead battery because I forgot to charge it. I get a call from the guy here who said the ipad was charged up and the crack actually caused a black spot on the screen. If I wanted this fixed it's an extra $75. I told him I played with the ipad numerous times after it fell and there was no black spot. He stayed quiet. He probably thought I never saw the screen after it fell...not the case. I told him no, dont fix it and I'll see what he's talking about when I pick it up. Went the next day to pick up and saw the round black spot. I told him this was not there when it fell. Again, he said nothing. I told him how did the black spot appear and he said from the drop. Um, no thats not the case and I told him this wasn't there. Again, he said nothing. Once I got home my husband was very upset and called the location. He spoke to the guy and told him this was a crappy job he did and asked how the spot appeared. He actually told my husband the spot got worse after he opened the ipad to fix it. Clearly the spot appeared after you attempted to fix the glass. Why should we pay to fix your mistake????!!!! He never offered to fix his mess. What kind of customer service do you provide? None apparently. We actually thought bringing my device here was a mistake and we shouldve went to kings plaza mall and had the kiosk people fix it or even my neighborhood guy who does good work with apple products. Now, I have to pay double to fix his mistake. I will not leave this here, I'll be looking to file a complaint with this so called company. I will post a picture of the spot he caused on my ipad.

I asked the person who looked like the manager which drawer or tray I should use to copy the back side onto the same sheet. Instead of answering my question, he spoke to me like I had never used a copier before, telling me to "just put the ID on the glass and flip it over." I asked again, trying to clarify how to get both sides on one page, but he just repeated the same thing and walked away. So I followed his instructions: copied the front, flipped the ID, and placed the first copy in the feeder, assuming it would print the back on the same sheet. I ended up paying another 85 cents just to get a duplicate of the front side again. At that point, I was clearly frustrated. Another employee came over and told me it's not possible to make a front-and-back copy of an ID on one sheet using their machines. I asked why no one mentioned that in the first place. His response? "You didn't talk to me." Seriously? This isn't the first bad experience I've had here. A while back I asked for paper maps--the kind they used to have near the entrance--and the staff acted like I was imagining things. This location feels like it's falling apart. There's constant employee turnover, and the focus seems to be more on handling Amazon returns and UPS shipping than helping customers with actual Staples services. Then when things go wrong, they just blame corporate. Disappointing.
