I contacted them early morning Labor day. I received a quote from them via Yelp. I needed the charging port changed and a new battery on an LG phone from 2018. I brought the phone into the store on Labor Day, was greeted by Robert who confirmed the on line price quote to be valid. He said the phone would require 3 days for the repair as 1) it needed to have the charging port soldered and since it was labor day, and the technician who does that part of the repair was not available, work would not begin until next business day. Robert did say he would try. To my complete surprise the phone was ready in two days. Robert emailed me and also left a message for me on my land line. When discussing the phone repair on this phone and chatting about some other repairs I need done on other equipment, what I especially liked about Robert is that he said 'if I can't fix it, I will tell you'. I liked everything about doing business with Sheepshead Bay Wireless and oh... I did not mention... The price was very reasonable and before coming to SHBW I had been to two other shops where they told me they would not do the repair needed. They said the phone was to old to change the charging port and tried to move me in the direction of purchasing a new phone. Robert did not even lean toward that route. Had a bad experience with this service. My broken iPhone's screen was changed there. After repairing my iPhone has a lot of problems: - The battery die two times faster - The phone restarts when it wants - The screen may glitch and not respond to the touch; I need to restart the phone, and this is not easy to do without touch screen. - When iPhone on charging, the screen may overheat and it no longer charges (the phone indicates that charging will continue when the screen will be not so hot) - Then the sound disappeared - The screen in the bag can unlock by itself and respond to objects in it. After visiting this service (to fix the problems after replacing the screen) regarding serious defects, the master repeated that this could not happen (). It means I was lying? Then he checked my phone and said that the motherboard had burned out. That is, after such a repair, also the motherboard burned out! I hope my review will help someone don't ruin their gadget. read more

My go to place for iPhone repair. Third time coming here. First 2 times for my camera and now for my phone that wasn't charging. I tried cleaning the port and wasn't working. Figured I needed to replace the charging port. When I brought my phone in instead of the owner trying to hustle me and get me to replace the port he cleaned it and got it working again. Brought my phone in for charging port repair. He charged $60, for a part I could have bought for $12 on amazon and did myself. On top of that he ended up breaking the fingerprint scanner that was on the back of the phone, he did not put the back plating of the phone in or used any glue/sealant and it just kept falling off afterwards. Damaged my phone more than it was before. Will not be returning. read more

Broke my iPhone 6s screen and chose this location based on a) where I wanted to eat lunch and b) the yelp reviews. Repair was fast and appeared to be done well, however, when I got home, the haptic feedback feature that the 6s is famous for was hypersensitive. I could not type without the haptic function being triggered, and if you have a 6s you know what that means. It makes it impossible to type, impossible to use the phone as it is intended. I called and spoke with the gentleman and he was cordial, said to come in when I could and he'd take a look at it. I showed up the next Sunday and inquired about the issue. The gentleman behind the counter acted as if the phone were working exactly as it should. When I told him it was not, he indicated that he hadn't used a 6s so he wasn't sure. He proceeded to open it up and close it a couple times, becoming increasingly annoyed that I wouldn't accept the problem and go away. Eventually, however, that's exactly what I did because I was getting nowhere with him. $150+ for the 6s screen and it doesn't work right. And they won't admit that it doesn't work right. My iPhone 6 battery was only lasting about 15 minutes at a time, so I decided to get the battery replaced instead of splurging on a new device. UPDATE: Phone's screen cracked and got damaged again and Robert (The owner) offered to diagnose the problem free of charge and changed the screen again for a discounted price with a free glass screen protector! Unfortunately, our experience with place was much less exiting. Come to this office as an UPS access point to collect mail. Very rude and unreasonably angry attitude of man working at this location, with irregular shop working hours. Very sad. My daughter has a Swagway and it needed to be fixed. We went into Sheepshead Bay Wireless for service and met MIKE and Robert whom are very nice and accommodating. They identified the problem immediately and gave us a very reasonable price for the repair. We expected to wait a few days for the repair but they told us to pick it up the next day which we did. To our surprise they not only fixed it but cleaned up the entire housing and fixed the lights at no additional cost which was not part of the original estimate. My daughter is one happy girl and a satisfied customer! Thank you guys for fixing her Swagway it runs and looks like brand new!
