I needed a suit for a funeral and this store is 1.5 hours away and I was only going to be in town for 5 hours so I e-mailed and asked if they could hook me up with a suit and get all the alterations done in that amount of time. They replied via e-mail within hours and said "No problem" come on down. My other choice was going to be Men's Warehouse but after looking at the horrible reviews on their Duluth outlet I made up my mind to trust Mainstream Fashions for Men. What a great decision that was. I arrived at 10:00am and after just a couple questions he had pulled out a suit coat to try on and the second one fit perfect. Without asking my measurements he pulled out a pair of pants that fit perfectly and then did the same with a collared shirt. I was done in 15 minutes and as I was leaving the store he was already taking my suit to their alterations store across the street and he notified me by text when they were done. Wow, if only every store offered that kind of customer service. I can't recommend this place enough and I found the prices to be very reasonable. My fiancé bought a suit for a wedding he was a groomsman in and it was an awful experience, the staff was not helpful, they never took measurements, only asked his clothing sizes. When it came in the pants were 5 sizes too big and they then charged him $80.00 in alterations. He wore the pants the one time at the wedding and the pants have 3 holes in them where they were altered. We are getting married in September and we will not be using them for our suits and would not recommend them to anyone else. read more

I frequented this store for years, recently I stopped in to pick up a few new outfits. The staff was inattentive and rude. I read that they had a new co-owner, this happens to be one of the rude staff that helped me. I wrote them a note on their website hoping for a response. None apparently they care enough about their customers to respond. I am disappointed I really enjoyed the clothing and service that they once had. It's too bad that they are following in the footsteps of some of the retail giants that could care less about the customer's experience. I have found everything that they sell on-line for roughly 40% less and better service which is sad. read more

Mainstream got every single detail wrong for my wedding. They neglected to check the status of groomsmans suits and never realized they were backordered until after the wedding, causing them to have to order another type of suit that we never had a chance to see before hand. They forgot to order additional ties and pocket squares and ended up just selling us what they had in stock - we ended up returning the ties and pocket squares because none of them matched. Four out of the twelve suits we purchased were incorrectly altered, three of which weren't done until a week before the wedding so the guys had to wear suits that didn't fit. To top it all off, when seeing my groom on our wedding day for the first time we realized that they gave him the wrong suit - it was the wrong color. I spoke with Mark and was told that there was nothing they could do because they didn't have the correct suit and that we would only be offered compensation if we brought it in ON THAT DAY. Mark actually thought it was appropriate to tell me to leave the salon on my wedding day in order to correct their huge mistake. He was unprofessional, inappropriate and rude. We went in for the first time more than 6 months prior to the wedding and were clear with Mark and Ben (the owner) on the details so there really is no excuse for all of this hassle. After all of this, we weren't even offered an apology. If you want a stress free experience, this is not the place for you! read more
