I was not expecting to find this in Appleton. Fresh food, great seasoning, and quick service. Don't worry about the decor, because you won't be looking at anything but the food. I love Mai's Deli and always get the Pad Thai with medium spice. Sometimes it's perfect and I can see the chili peppers, other times I don't even see the chili peppers. I love their food, I only wish the consistency is the same. read more

Although the parking is challenging, and the dining area is really basic, the food at Mai's makes it well worth coming. The spring rolls are delicate and fresh; the best I have had. Their pho was unbelievably good. Spring rolls were way out of this world along with the iced coffee. My husband had their fried rice and we had some of their famous stuffed chicken wings. These items were sub par. In all, I'd come back for the pho, spring rolls and iced coffee. Save the 2.50 you'd spend on 1 wing and put it towards a tasty bowl of pho! read more

This is my second time here and Mai's Deli is a solid stop. The Food is Thai in nature with some branching out into other Asian foods. I was craving Pho tonight and unfortunately the Valley doesn't have any true Vietnamese places to eat. Had a Beef flank and Beef Ball Pho and it was good. Not anything great but I guess it will do especially on this cold cold night. The side dish did not come with many bean sprouts, basil... And no mint :-( also had a Pad Thai which was very good! And the Seafood curry was also delicious. The stuffed chicken wings don't look great but the taste is extraordinary! If I was only grading on the wings they would get 5 stars! If I'm passing through Appleton and craving Thai food, this is the place I will stop. I don't know if I would make a special trip from where I live (30 minutes away), but for sure if I'm in the area, this is my go-to. Definitely looks like a hole in the wall so don't be alarmed, but the three times I have come here, the food is consistently good. I come from the west coast where Thai food is king. Wisconsin doens't have the best Thai in the world but this will "scratch the itch" so to speak read more

The stuff chicken wings are exceptional... that being said it is the only reason to give it four stars because they are just that good. The rest of the food is just okay to me. The workers are very friendly and the wait for food is pretty quick. The only disappointment is going late in the day and not being about to get the stuff wings. Stopped in for their famous stuffed chicken wings. These tasty little hummers are stuffed with veggies and noodles and get a good going over on the grill. The dipping sauce really adds another layer of flavor and before you know it the wings have disappeared. 4 wings will set you back a 10 spot but as we only get them once in a blue moon so we're amenable to that. read more

I love their yellow curry. During a holiday visit to Wisconsin, we enjoyed food from Mai's at least three times. I couldn't get enough.

I have had a few entrees here and enjoyed them. But the thing you need to get here is the stuffed chicken wings, they are a treasure.

I am only able to review the egg rolls. They are AMAZING and the hot dipping sauce is out of this world!!! Yum!

Having moved out of Appleton a few years ago, Mai's is one of the places I always get the craving to visit whenever I go back. Their stuffed chicken wings are phenomenal, and everything else I've ever ordered there has been good, too. This place is fantastic. You walk in and you see a very clean space with a tv and counter and a few tables in the back. They make the most amazing egg rolls, vermacelli salad, fried rice, and these unique and fabulous grilled chicken wings. They take a very large chicken wing, stuff it with vermacelli noodles and basic egg roll veggies, wrap the filling in and then grill it. The juices from the chicken infuse all the ingredients within the filling with a fabulous flavor. The prices are just incredible. I went there one night and egg rolls were only 75 cents each. They run specials and even at full price, the food is such a great value. read more

We have eaten at Mai's Deli 3 times and love the stuffed chicken wings. The springs rolls are excellent. Everything is very fresh and different from the usual Asian fair. There many other menu selections that are intriguing that we are likely to try in the near future. Parking is a problem and the inside dining space is plain and small. read more

Probably the best broth for pho in a restaurant setting. Sucks that some days they "run out of garnish" for the pho & other days, they don't have pho altogether. Mai's Deli is DELICIOUS! I absolutely die for their eggrolls! If I had to pick one item off their menu I would have to go with the Pho. You get a HUGE bowl for a really great price, they also give you a lot of extra condiments but I never use them it tastes amazing as is! I don't really like a lot of spice in my food and they are really accommodating and will adjust it to fit me! Also, don't be fooled by any of the other places that have popped up recently selling stuffed chicken wings, these are the original and the best out there! read more
