One of the best Thai food options in the Fox Valley. Nothing crazy special but they actually have a lot of great spicy options! Nothing out of the box but it is located in the middle of WI. Their pictures on the website are an accurate depiction of what you will get. We almost always order the Green or Yellow Curry, so yummy. We usually call to make an order and go in and pick it up. If you pick up a bit early you can kinda see them making your food which is cool. We have eaten inside (a few booths and 2-3 tables), but it tends to get a little loud as it is Very small in there. Been ordering from them for years, after today I will not. Ordered shrimp pad Thai and only got 4 shrimp. Spoke with manager and was told chef put 6 shrimp in it and was told to look at the bottom of my container for the "lost" 2 shrimp, and a goodbye. Update: no lost shrimp found! I haven't eaten Bangkok Thai for 2-3 years now. Today I decided to give it a try and order take out. I had order papaya salad, egg rolls, red curry, and pad see ew. First off, papaya salad was good! My friend and I decided to try this place after driving for four hours. When we arrived, the host/waitress was nice and very welcoming. She sat us quickly even when they were busy serving others. The waitress was on top of her game. She knew what she was talking about. My friend and I was so hungry that we had ordered so much food. Lol. She was really helpful and new what she was talking about. The food came out quick and we enjoyed our meal. They also came around for water refills. Their Pad Thai came out and at first my friend and I thought it looked plain but when we took a bite of the Pad Thai.... it was amazing! I see why it's their signature dish. I really enjoyed their curry dish as well. It was just too bad that I had requested it to be spicy and they did not disappoint me! Ordered on-line for takeout - discovered there are more dish options at the restaurant. Having said that, ordered a few Thai dishes: a couple different noodles and a couple vegetable dishes, all medium for spice level. The flavouring was tasty, the spice level was moderate, but they were stingy on the "extra" ingredients - some ingredients are available at no extra cost, and several other ingredients are an extra charge. I ordered beef to one noodle dishes and eggplant in another dish: the beef was grisly and it was hard to find the few slivers of eggplant. I was brought to Oshkosh due to the grand opening of one of my favorite stores: Ross Dress for Less. We've never ventured to Oshkosh so the town in itself was new but Yelp helped directed us to this establishment. Plenty of parking and it is connected to a strip mall. The establishment was smaller with a 49 person capacity but the decors were nice and easy on the eyes. We were warmly welcomed and directed to our seats. Our waitor brought our drinks promptly. And then everything went downhill from there. I was disappointed at their menu but even more at the lack of flavor in their food. Chicken laab only? No raw beef with bitterness? At least pork laab? No, just chicken. Anyone whose had Thai food knows that it's all about flavors; spicy, herby, well seasoned, etc. Every dish they brought in from the pad Thai, to the curries, to the egg rolls all were plain except the papaya salad. That was the only palatable item that deserves raving about so I added a star. At this point I wasn't even looking for authenticity but flavor, there wasn't any. They served us the worst pad Thai that I've ever seen or tasted; it was white noodles in a cloudy sauce. No green scallions or cilantro. Their meat was cut ever so thinly. We could hardly find or taste the chicken in our dishes. No more, only for the papaya salad. read more

Excellent find! I was recommended Bangkok's by a coworker and it remains one of my favorite Asian restaurants. Bangkok's has the best egg rolls you'll ever find! Their entrees have all been good/great! The waitstaff is quick and food is brought out within minutes, very quickly! Parking is never an issue but they can be closed at weird times, so it might be worth calling in advance. Take-out is another option. This is easily a top 5 for me in the Fox Valley area! read more

My wife didn't want to follow this rule and decided to give them a try since we were from out of town. Also, read only the reviews from Asian people, which are mostly bad reviews. 2 stars because service was good. Food was not even close to what I make at home. Pho was very bland. All the extra seasoning and sauces they provide could not fix it. Spring rolls where not tightly wrapped and felt apart once you bite into them. I hate egg rolls that have tons of bean thread noodles and no meat. They charge an arm and a leg for their food. If it was good, I wouldn't mind. I think my bowl of pho was $12. Visiting Oshkosh from Minnesota. I'm comparing this to the Thai restaurants in MN and I've eaten at multiple Thai restaurants throughout the country. The spring roll appetizer was rolled loosely and the protein was chicken which made the spring roll dry. It was also pretty bland, not much veggies and the cucumber was overwhelming. Next is the pho. It was disappointing, the broth tastes like it was made from powder and it was too sweet. The Pad Thai has a sweet and bitter flavor. It doesn't taste as authentic. It's not as flavorful and tastes flat. Last is the Curry Fried Rice. This was a decent dish. The rice is cooked well and not too oily. The curry flavor explodes in your mouth. The service was good and attentive. The only bad thing is that they were all wearing sandals. read more
