The crepes were delicious and presented beautifully! We had the banana-strawberry-nutella one which was perfect, and the chicken-cheese-mushroom which could have used a milder, more subtle cheese in my opinion. They used an american-style cheese of sorts that tasted very salty. The cafe is adorable but so hot-- there was a fan and no AC so maybe better for a cooler day!

Cute interior a bit cozy with tables all over. We ordered in the line and took out number to the table. The cashier and all the staff were friendly. We got a mocha, latte and a florentine crepe and a big and good crepe. The coffee was fine. The crepes were nice and tasty and both came with a small salad. Florentine had some good cheese and the big and good crepe had generous slices of bacon and sun dried tomatoes (with more cheese).

Great day for gelato - sunny & warm. The line was out the door but went reasonably quickly. Lots of flavors from which to choose. The guys were friendly and scoops were generous & neat. Delicious treat, thank you!

We came here for lunch after visiting the Notre Dame Basilica. The decor was really cute like somewhere you'd go for afternoon tea. They also serve ice cream. We had the smoked salmon crepe and the Nutella and strawberry crepe. Both were very tasty! Prices were a bit higher since it was in a touristy area.

Charming and cozy spot tucked away in old Montreal! Tried the hazelnut vanilla hot chocolate and "Complete" crepe. The crepe was delicious, especially the mushroom, though the chicken was a bit bland for me. Overall enjoyable experience. Their lotus cookie cake was moist and flavorful. Festive Middle Eastern music or reggaeton are a credit to the ambience too.

My wife and I came here before going to Norte Dame Basilica as we wanted a convenient place for breakfast. The interior is nice with historical decor. The staff is fast and friendly. The food is amazing too and we had a crepe with eggs, cheese, and spinach, and a bagel with smoked salmon and creme cheese as well as a latte. The crepe was amazing and the bagels were authentic and Montreal style. We loved the latte as well and their work into it.

Super cute place. Great service. The strawberry Nutella crêpe is amazing! If you need a snack next to the Notre Dame Basilica, this is the place to go.

Maison Bagatelle has such an elegant cafe vibe and definitely a place to also take lots of pictures for social media. They had a good amount of seating and is a lovely place to chat with friends while having desserts and tea. The staff are all kind. The strawberry nutella crepe was divine. They added so much nutella and strawberries. The crepe was the perfect size and had good thickness. They even added strawberry and chocolate drizzle on top. After eating the crepe, having a slice of orange and pineapple adds the perfect hint of freshness. I will definitely be going back to Maison Bagatelle once in Montreal again and will order a different type of crepe with hot tea on the side!

Ordered a Nutella strawberry crepe to go. I loved the crepe! Absolutely delicious! The person making my crepe did not go stingy on adding strawberries, and the Nutella and strawberry jam with powdered sugar on top was amazing. The pineapple and orange sides were interesting, they complimented the crepes and I was pleasantly surprised because when I usually order crepes I never had these fruits as a side. Overall, it was a good portion, I wish the price was slightly less than what I paid for, but nonetheless I was happy. 9/10 Will come back next time to sit down in the cafe to try other foods and the drinks here. During my short stop inside, I noticed that the interior was decorated very nicely and the seatings looking comfortable and atmosphere was lively.

This is a cute little crepey. I was expecting turkey breast instead of deli meat in my savory crepe but it was still delicious. I absolutely loved the pistachio croissant. I'd go back but for the pastries and nice service. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

Got to try some delicious food during my short weekend trip to Montreal Quebec…read more A friend organized a lunch for everyone before we all headed to the airport and funny enough this restaurant was in the hotel my friend and i stayed at. The restaurant was super quiet when we went as it was a Monday afternoon when most people were probably at work. The interior was quite elegant very clean and royalty looking. The service was 10/10. Waiter was very attentive and we could tell he paid attention to detail. He gave great food recommendations and definitely had knowledge of what's on the menu. Now as for how the food and prices were? Prices i'd say are pretty standard and reasonable. The squash soup was so yum and comforting. It had a puree texture to it. Good serving size. I would order it again! We obviously had to have some mimosas and yes we paired it with orange juice. The duck confit may have been a bit too much for me. Large portion and i couldn't even finish half of it. But it wasn't dry and the veggies had a nice crunch and the lentils were very filling and healthy. The flavour notes all went together but i'd definitely say the dish was more on the healthier side. The chicken supreme on the other hand .. although healthy it was still cheesy and buttery. Considering it was chicken breast it didn't even taste dry so i definitely appreciated that. The risotto paired with it was the star of the show! The restaurant takes resos online and they do have brunch on the weekends, happy hour menu looks promising. If i'm ever in town again and in the area i'd want to try their happy hour or chacuterie spread!

(Hotel restaurants, can be good/bad) We were definitely not dressed up which I was worried about but it wasn't an issue, we started with beef carpaccio and charcuterie, the pate was absolutely amazing as were all the cured meats. The beef carpaccio, was for me a little bland, I would have hit it with a touch of salt, but once you got a piece th at had balsamic drizzle it really opened it up and changed my mind. (I wish there was a little more of the balsamic. My husband had the Cornish hen, and I had the filet mignon, both were absolutely amazing, I even stole a little of his Bleu cheese for my steak. Steak was cooked perfectly, the sides were amazing. Our server was on point, his name was Pedro, I had asked him to send out a dessert privately and it was our 1 year anniversary, even though we were not dressed for the occasion as we were both exhausted from travel, We will probably be in for lunch tomorrow!

There are 2 sides of the restaurant: the more casual order what you want brasserie side and then the fancier multi-course chef menu side. I chose the brasserie side, where I had a reservation for a bar seat - turns out that wasn't really that necessary as there were several individual bar seats open; A group would probably have a difficult time getting a seat on a Friday evening though. For drinks, I had a paper plane and a last word. Those are my two go to cocktails for nicer bars, and they pulled them off fantastically (they also knew what I was talking about which is kind of rare for the last word). For an extra nice touch, they clipped an actual paper plane to the paper plane drink. Fun! For food, I ordered the Duck Confit. It was super crispy on the outside, but the meat was super tender and juicy and melted off of the bone. My mouth is watering while thinking about it. It also came with bread service. For dessert I had the tiramisu. I would give it a 4/5 - it was a little more bland than others I've had - not bad at all, but not my favorite one of all time. They seem to be serious about their coffee (see pictures). Since I was sitting right in front of it I had to order one to go with the tiramisu. I had a basic americano, and it was a great addition. My only real complaint is the bar seating felt a little bit exposed as the main walkway through the restaurant goes along the bar seating. Drinks 5/5, Service 5/5, Food 5/5, Ambience 4/5

We started with oysters from PEI and New Brunswick. Loved that they let you choose the units so we only ordered 4 (2 each). We also had as appetizer their foie gras parfait and tomatoes from our garden. Both we wonderful choices. The tomatoes were perfect for the season with a beautiful balance of tomatoes, stracciatella and focaccia. Foie is a classic and loved the grilled bread and pickled vegetables to accompany it. Our entrees were the lamb rump, braised shoulder and butcher cut steak and frites which was the hangar steak. The lamb was delicious and very hearty in a good way. The steak was perfectly prepared and the frites stayed warm the entire meal with their presentation. We ended with their house fav passion fruit pavlova. Light and airy texture with lovely flavor. Nice way to compete the meal!

But before even checking in, we had to walk through Bar George ~ and instantly knew we wanted to eat there. We were lucky enough to grab a last-minute reservation, and Julien took a good care of us throughout the evening. His recommendation of the Beef Wellington was spot on (it's already one of our favorite dishes), but this was hands down the best we've ever had. I ordered the lobster risotto, which was excellent with just the right amount of spice. My son had the 10 oz striploin steak with homemade fries (chips), and it was absolutely delicious. I also loved the Canadian touch of coarse salt on the steak, plus the option to choose between Béarnaise or peppercorn sauce. Julien also mentioned their pastry chef placed second in a NY competition, and the desserts absolutely lived up to that reputation. We tried the pineapple and coconut pavlova and the "lick me hazelnut" ~ both beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. We also ordered iced coffee and a latte, and noticed something interesting: this was the second place where we found Canadian coffee to be smooth and mild ~ such a nice change from the often bitter, over-roasted American coffee. Yes, dinner was a bit steep ($300+), but it was worth every penny. Between the rich history, stunning design, outstanding service, and unique cuisine, I would highly recommend Bar George. The matcha latte with almond milk really woke me up. And i was hungry and needing some vegan protein, since the airline food I got was mostly salad. Their braised tofu with a lovely optional creamy coriander sauce, and cooked with mixed vegetables absolutely hit the spot. It was served with warm fluffy basmati rice. The tofu serving was substantial, the braising sauce was very tasty, and the tofu was firm and chewy and filled with saucey flavor. The optional coriander creme sauce and fresh limes were a great complement to the braising sauce. Around me i could see servings of chili, their vegan poutine fries, and the chesesteak come out of the kitchen, and noticed other tables were also complementing their food. I finished with a tangy lemon tart slice and vegan whipped cream - very nice. The tables are fairly close together as it's in town center. They've got several two top tables. This was great for me as a lone traveler, as I easily struck up a conversation with the couple sat on the table next to me, and we had a great chat about how good the restaurant was and then everything under the sun.
