It came with the mac salad and a green salad as a side on my plate. I read another review here that said the mac salad was tasteless, but it was pretty on par with the mac salads I've had in Hawaii. The waitress also suggested an "all-purpose sauce" to go with the lechon and I really quite liked it! Preferred it to the default vinegar sauce that my dish came with. My boyfriend ordered one of their brunch dishes: the chicken and waffles. It came with ube butter! And you can actually taste the ube! The pancake itself was banana-based in taste. The chicken was perfectly fried, but my boyfriend said it was a little bit too salty. But I thought it was alright in saltiness. We also got a spam and tamago musubi to share. Glad to see musubi offered! It was freshly made and quite warm to the touch when it got to us. Yum! Overall, loved the decor here and happy with the variety of dishes offered! Have been missing Hawaiian foods since my Hawaii trip a few months back, and having more Filipino food options in Montreal are always welcomed!

It's a little food shack next to Tru Tea. They just opened at the beginning of September 2024. They sell Asian food, mostly snack foods like Bao, pan-fried buns and dumplings, but they also had General Tao Chicken, wonton soup, and Japanese curry. I got an order of General Tao Chicken ($6.99) with no sesame seeds and without rice, as well as the Pan-fried Beef Bing ($9.99) for my husband and I to share as a snack. The portion of the General Tao Chicken was small, like an appetizer, which was expected for the price. It was a bit doughy with lots of breading, but still tasted good. It was dark meat. The sauce was sweet and not spicy at all. The beef bing (there were 2 per order) were a bit greasy but had good flavour and the dough wasn't too thick. They have 2 seats indoors but lots of outdoor seating. I guess they will be mostly a takeout place in the winter. Service was pleasant. I spoke with the owner and she said they opened the restaurant because her parents "wanted something to do." LOL. Not sure I'd want to run a restaurant/food truck in my golden years, but hey, if it makes them happy. I'm thrilled to have a new place in the neighbourhood that sells hot foods you can have as snacks. My husband and I often go for walks in the neighbourhood and sometimes I feel for some food, but just something snacky like a samosa or bao, so this place fits the bill perfectly. Looking forward to trying out their other items. Street parking only. (173)

The hubby recently got takeout from Nom Nom a couple of weeks ago, and forgot how good it was, while it has been a couple of years since I've had takeout from here. We ordered the sesame balls, veggie spring rolls, sweet potato croquettes, tofu spicy fried noodles, and Singapore noodles. The sesame balls and the veggie spring rolls were reminiscent of the stuff you'd get at an AYCE restaurant, but they were still good. The sweet potato croquettes was a first for me, and they were very much like a large hash brown, but super fluffy inside. My suggestion is to wait for them to cool down a bit and eat them warm or room temperature. My toddler loved these, but I thought they were just OK. The Korean spicy fried noodles was the star of the show, although a bit too greasy for my liking, they did hit the spot. I really enjoyed their take on cooking tofu. I think they took deep fried puffed tofu, flattened it down and fried it with the noodles, where it resembled sliced pork. There was a lot of nice color to it, as well as a slight char, and the texture was amazing. Keep it mind, it was a tad greasy as well. I didn't care for the Singapore noodles. My hubby loves this dish, but said he's had it made better else where, so its all personal preference. I do like that you can customize a lot of the meals into vegetarian meals, so major kudos to that. I don't crave Asian cuisine all that often, so I don't think I will be rushing back, but it was nice to switch things up and try out something new.

They have a small store on their farm in Brebeuf but this review is for their general store located along the 117, slightly north of St-Jovite and the big grocery stores. I love their emphasis on local and organic produce. In addition to selling vegetables from their own farm, they partner with multiple producers in the region, so I can always find fresh eggs or chicken that was raised in the next town over. They also try to be as zero-waste as possible, offering flours, nuts, coffee, etc in bulk, which is not easy to find in this area. The pick-up concept is simple- you make a list of items you need and someone does your groceries while you're on the phone with them. I was really grateful because one of the employees spent over 10 minutes on the phone with me and made a lot of suggestions when something was missing. It's a small store but they have everything you may need, from fruits & vegetables, frozen meats, dairy products to shampoo bars and cleaning products. The pick-up service is free but delivery costs $15 and they only deliver within a 15m radius. My order was ready within a few hours and I picked it up on their porch. It was safe and it felt nice to know that my parsnip didn't travel a billion km before ending up in my basket.
