The second home she did was a tiny house where she worked closely with me and my client two showcase the homeowners style via colors and texture as well as our commitment to healthy and sustainable furniture. I verified the service, and price with her, in the presence of two employees, and a date was set for 5 weeks later. One day before the appointment Nomita stated that she wouldn't honor the agreed upon (and advertised) price of $200, she now wanted $300. She demanded to know where I'd seen the price, so I sent her a link to her page. She claimed, in a dizzying series of defensive emails, the web page in question was either outdated, existed only in a "black hole," hadn't existed for 6 years, was from 2013, or never existed at all. She didn't seem sure. In reality, it was 2 clicks from her home page up until that day, when she had it removed. I realized this wasn't someone I could work with, at any price. When she realized there was no convincing defense for jacking up the price at the last minute, she wrote this: "You are taking advantage of me as a minority woman owned business!" As yet, I've no clue what that refers to. So it's pretty offensive, not just to me, but to anyone who's been legitimately affected that way. Not very impressive. Neither is the "I looked up how to respond to negative reviews on the Internet" non-response below.

I was greeted very politely by a sweet young girl when I entered the store. However, another more mature lady came by me while I was shopping and just seemed like she was eyeing me up and down and suggesting I didn't belong there. (I was in my work clothes.) She also checked me out when I was done shopping and gave me that same impression. If I hadn't been here before, I would've just walked out. It's a shame that I was treated like this because I wasn't dressed to the nines.

It was a very painless transaction, we paid in full and was told that the delivery would take 12-16 weeks; so, we were pleasantly surprised when we learned that we were receiving the chair on week 9. That is where the positive experience ended. The chair was delivered broken, on a Friday, when their service department is closed. I called and left a detailed message, but did not receive a call back on Monday - when the department reopened. I called on Tuesday and was told that I would receive a call the following week to set up a service date. I had not received a call by the following Wednesday, so I called back. I was told that the service guy was on the delivery truck this week and would not be available to service until next week. So here I am at week 3 of having a broken chair and no date set for a repair. I would have preferred to have the chair delivered at week 12 in working condition, over a delivery of a broken chair that is just taking room up in my living room for 3 weeks, at week 9.

Stop by with your budget and see the great deal you can get for fantastic quality and service. Then go to Home Depot or Lowes and compare. You'll be shocked. (Not to mention they'll deliver it for free.) The customer service is also much better, any issues you can speak right to the source. You won't have to jump through hoops to get to the person familiar with your situation. They also offer awesome home accents, wine holders, and decorations. All of my business from this point out will definitely be here. Not to mention I feel a little bit of pride by supporting a locally owned homegrown business.
