The sales associate who helped me was friendly at first. I told him what I was looking for and he kept showing me things that were FAR from what I was looking for. He was also making inappropriate comments like: "maybe you can't find anything cuz we're not really your vibe," and "we aren't really YOUR aesthetic". So rude. Eventually, we both got tired of one another and he made it VERY obvious that he was done assisting me. I said thank you before exiting the store and he responded as if Beyonce just sang: "look around and everybody on mute." He would have won that. Screw this place. read more

A French urban/contemporary clothing line. They have women's and men's styles--apparel and accessories. Mostly separates. Their logo is a fox (Kitsuné = fox in French) and you'll find this on a lot of their items, in various forms, such as the mini embroidered logo on polos and large and small fox prints on knits and woven fabrics, but I appreciate that it's not a super flashy or in-your-face type of branding, but rather a playful and often colorful mascot. This store, like their other locations isn't a large space, but carries a sizeable portion of their line. The price points are on the higher side but comparable with other contemporary brands. I think for the quality it's worth it as a treat once in a while. read more

The staff here are so friendly. They made sure to let me know they could get me sizes in their stock room in case I didn't see my size. As I was checking out with my purchase, I got into stalking with the cashier and we talked about their nearby cafe called Cafe Kitsune. She even gave me two coupons for free coffee for my husband and I. Even though I didn't spend a lot, they treated me very well and I really appreciated it. I would love to shop here again! read more

Stopped by to hopefully get this windbreaker I've been eyeing for over a year. Anything with their little kitsune logo gets me and because I'm from CA, a windbreaker is necessary...that's what I told myself so I could justify the purchase. There was very limited selection out on the floor so I was kind of bummed out, but after a few minutes of circling, the staff asked if there was anything in particular I was looking for. Luckily, they had one of the windbreakers in my size which I ended up getting. The fitting rooms are also really fancy...although unnecessary, I was offered one to try the jacket on. Though on the pricey side, the quality is well worth it as is the fox. read more

My poor experience relates to an Archives online transaction. When two items I had paid were not shipped for numerous days, I had to follow-up numerous times. At first it was explained to me that payment had not cleared, when in fact it cleared. No mention of my products being out of stock were shared or disclosed. There was no follow-up from Maison Kitsune since. After sending in screenshots of proof of payment clearance, they had informed me that my products were out of stock. Since I found this to be strange that they'd oversell or sell my items to someone else, I checked availability of these on their site. Sure enough, these were indeed in-stock. My case was promptly closed with a refund with no real explanation. Not will I never shop this brand again, I will clearly share my experiences with my friends and family to do the same. There are plenty of other designers and reputable & caring vendors I'd gladly do repeat business, and in-kind, I'd ask others to do the same. I visited this store today and was told that I should go to their "lower priced" store called the Archive by a sales rep. This was completely unsolicited information from this particular sales rep. If that wasn't enough it was followed by verbatim "looks like you are shopping for someone else". I was in the store with my wife and I guess we didn't have the Maison look. Whatever the f that means. Word of advice whatever your name was, don't judge a customer by the number of shopping bags they have or if they can or cannot afford your clothing. It's New York and you have no clue about anyone's financial status or whether I am someone's personal shopper or not. Never going back to this clownship of a store again. read more

I had been to the store a couple times and I went again this past Saturday to purchase a couple pieces from the Parisien collection. I decided to leave a review on here after having such a great shopping experience thanks to a sales associate there, Alex! 5 stars for Alex. She was patient and proactive but not aggressive or pushy at all. She really cared that I was getting what I was looking for (which is always appreciated, because the clothes are not cheap). She gave me her objective opinion of the items I tried on and made sure I was satisfied even though it was a busy Saturday afternoon in the store! The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the store's inventory can be a bit limited. It would be nicer if it had more items since I believe this is the only Maison Kitsune boutique in the US. If you are looking for a specific item, I advise calling the store before making the trip to SoHo! read more
