It's only about a 2hr drive from where I am but there was a bit of traffic getting out of atlanta on a wed afternoon when we left so we didn't get in till dark. I called to say we might miss the office check in hours (till 6pm) so they kindly left the key in the cabin for us for whenever we arrived which was very helpful. The rooms were clean and kitchen and bathroom had pretty much everything you needed. We also utilized the charcoal grill. Only complaint was the lighting was a tad dark during the night but maybe it's to help you relax. Loved the view of the lake from the cabin, it was beautiful to wake up to. We were also able to bring our dog for a $60 fee. House rule does say no dog on bed so keep that in mind. There was a little doggy station on site and we were able to walk him around the property to potty. He enjoyed his stay and we liked going to the nearby trials in the morning/afternoon for a hike. There's an ingles nearby as well as some other restaurants if you need food options like McDonald's, Dunkin, couple of Pizza chains, and whatever a small town typically has to offer. I was worried it might be too small, but it was just right! I stayed in the loft bedroom's king sized bed and my friend stayed on the queen sized sleeper sofa downstairs. We had perfect timing and got to see the leaves changing color and enjoy the cool weather (being from South Florida these are both unusual!) We cooked some of our meals at the cabin in the well-stocked kitchen. There is a full fridge, stove/oven and a full set of dishes, glasses, cooking utensils and silverware. It got cold enough that we made hot apple cider and lit the wood burning fireplace. It was also nice to have the hot tub to soak in after a day out on the town in the cold. The nearby town of Helen is an adorable Bavarian Alpine Village with great little shops and restaurants. We also drove to nearby Dahlonega to check out the shops and artists there. We were able to go horseback riding at the Sunburst Stables in Clarkesville and we also took a trip to the North Georgia Zoo in Cleveland - I highly recommend both! I can't wait to come back in the summer to enjoy some more outdoor activities like tubing on the Chattahoochee River or boating on Unicoi Lake at Unicoi State Park.

The best part was the 40 foot deck. We had a large family visiting and there was so much room with wraparound seating and a sunken hot tub. Although it slept 7, we easily could entertain 15-20 on the deck with ample seating. During the day our young children played badminton and volleyball out back, they even had a volley ball net set up for play. This had to be the most relaxing vacation I could ever imagine..we will definitely come back and stay at the Oasis!! We had a blast tubing down to Helen and horseback riding...Larry at the office was great!

Blairsville is a small ittle mountain town up near the Georgia and North Carolina state line. Blairsville is home to the tallest peak in Georgia, Brasstown Bald Mountain, part of the Blueridge mountains. There are so many things to do up there (cut down your own Christmas tree at Southern Tree Plantation, tubing, hiking, shopping, horseback riding) and it's just a beautiful town in general. These cabins are nestled on the side of a mountain, right off US19, a main highway in Blairsville. They are in a community of other cabins, but still ensure privacy behind trees and distance. Our cabin was Blackberry Cabin, and it was one of the highest on the property. We have a V6 regular drive Dodge Dakota, and it made it up the gravel road with no problem (after realizing we needed to give it a little more gas than these flat road drivers were used to!) The cabin was fully equipped and gorgeous. We had all the comforts of home plus a wood burning fireplace, and an breathtaking view from the porch. At the entrance of the community, there is a firepit (with pre-chopped wood always stocked), trails to hike along a stream, and fields to play a game of Frisbee if you're so inclined! If you're looking for a safe, comfortable and beautiful mountain community to spend a weekend (or week) at, check out Highland Falls Cabins! You won't be disappointed!

There were actually 3 other couples that traveled with us and they stayed in Cabins #5, #6 & #8. Each cabin was very large with all amenities that you could ask for, were very comfortable, spotless clean, roomy, great views and right on the river. The cleaning staff was friendly and accommodating in every aspect. Our entire group trailered our Harely Davidson's up from Florida and spent 5 days riding in the mountains. The cabin property had spacious trailer parking out of the way of the cabins and also has covered motorcycle parking which was great to have. My wife and I were so happy with the location and quality that was provided within the cabins we are planning to return in 2025 for another week.

There is a main barn with a gourmet kitchen, a large lower deck, an upstairs loft/bunker, rooms for entertaining and a pool equipped with a hot tub -- all of it faces the mountains. It's gorgeous! Down the hill, there are tons of little adorable cabins. Some of them have bunk beds, with trundles underneath! (I think about 6 beds?) Other cabins, like the one I stayed in, have a queen bed in the center. No closet space-- but there are lots of hooks to hang stuff on. I really enjoyed the simplicity of it all-- all white walls, white sheets and a natural wood finish ceiling. It was relaxing just to look at it all. Late at night you can hear the crickets and in the morning you can hear the song birds. I saw that most of the cabins, separated in sets of 4, had fire pits near them. A large field separated my cabin from the petting zoo. Sometimes, the goats would holler but it wasn't annoying. The little pigs are just adorable too! Hens and roosters also reside here, but I didn't hear the rooster in the morning like I thought I would. A natural farm is also on the grounds-- we had fresh basil water all weekend long! Yum! Since my brother is disabled, a cart was rented so he could get to and fro the event hall and cabins. They called it the "mule" and it actually stopped working for a short period of time. The manager of the property was called and it was promptly fixed-- the man got out of bed at 9pm to get the mule running! Great customer service. The mule is powerful -- it was handy when shuttling guests and their luggage. I loved this place and would consider renting it for a weekend if I lived closer!

We wish we could buy one for ourselves lol. The views aren't substantial, but the location was prime for reaching all of our destinations easily. This layout and floor plan easily accommodated all of us comfortably. If you are worried about space, don't even sweat it. I bet it could fit double with zero issues. All the amenities worked and Jeanette is so timely in responses and getting our needs met. There is something for everyone, seriously. The only bad thing you could possibly say is that the roads to get into the cabins is a bit confusing and a bit technical to drive with a full size truck and trailer. However, once you're in, you just hate to leave. I found at the end of every long day of riding, I was so happy to get to come home to Wildflower cabin #1 as my home. We checked in with friends who rented another cabin #7 and they raved about it as well. Look no further for your family lodging needs, this is the place you are looking for! =)
