Not even a one star rating... but I cannot post without putting down at least one star. The president and owner of Majestic Rails, Russell Blanch, came to measure our home for railing on 27 Nov 2019. I got a quote for $4.4K but then asked about a military discount, so the quote went to $4K. I had 2 other companies do estimates and they came in at $4.7 K and $6K, so I thought it best to go with the bigger company since the pricing of all 3 were somewhat similar. Got under contract on 2 Dec and was advised it could take 2-3 months. We were scheduled for installation to happen TOMORROW, 19 Feb 2020 when I got an email TODAY stating there was an error in the quote and the new quote is $12K!!! Needless to say I had to get a refund of my $2K deposit and they offered to give me a $2.2K refund (interest). I am so angry I could spit nails now that I have to start all over. read more

Like many of the other folks, we read the reviews on Majestic and were excited to have them start our project. They were able to start immediately and we were really looking forward to it. They even did a fantastic job on 12 of our 13 steps. When I asked the owner what happened he gave us some long story about not being able to finish the job as bid (even though we had a written quote) due to some oversight which would require an additional $1000 then he cut it down to $300 to complete. I would strongly recommend using another company that will complete the job. As a consumer you have choices. I recommend Not Using Majestic Rails. read more

Everyone was very pleasant to work with and I couldn't be happier with the results of my new staircase. I can't imagine any other remodeling project that would make more of an impact. The stair case is a showstopper. Brooke an Hallie in the office were wonderful to work with from budget to design. Alex, who did the installation, is a true craftsman. He is punctual, neat and detail oriented. The only reason they did not get 5 stars is because they put all 113 anchors down and then we had to raise them so that the hardwood floors and treads could be stained. After reading the reviews on Majestic Rails we were looking forward to them doing the work on our small stairway this past summer. Unfortunately, what was to be a short "day-job", turned into 2 months worth of aggravation and delays. Starting with the first day, where the installers were over 2 hours late and once they did arrive, proceeded to tell us that they didn't have the proper parts to complete the job. And we heard that excuse several times. We have a string of emails with their office, one after each delay, asking when they would be back to finish. Needless to say that we lost confidence in the company and the crew to such an extent that we asked the owner (Russell) to come back and inspect the lack of production, mid-way through the project. Even though this was our first custom stairway, we even had to point out errors in the installation (twisted balusters, crooked bases) as well as the marks they had left in our new hardwood stairs. And when we asked to discuss the possibility of consideration for the delays and poor installation, the only response we got was "balance due." read more

Majestic Rails did a great job on my new cable-welded railings. However, the project timeline of 6-8 weeks actually took 14 weeks from demolition of the pony wall to final installation. I'm unsure why there was such a long delay; it was a long time to go without any railings. Quality of work is great but the given timelines should be more realistic. read more

Majestic Rails did a beautiful job on our new stair rails. And even better, they finished the job early. The estimate called for 16 work days. Although Majestic Rails statred about a week lake, Andre and Alex worked for 7 days and finished the project two days early. Russell Blanch did a great job using our rough ideas and requirements to design and estimate our project. He gave us multiple options which we had not even considered and designed a curving stair rail that we did not know was possible. Andre and Alex performed the work professionally, neatly, and beautifully. Throughout the project they worked as neatly as possible given the project was in the middle of our house. Each day they cleaned the work site. Their work was beautiful. Though not cheap, we feel with Majestic Rails we got what we paid for. WE are very satisfied with Majestic Rails. read more

My home builder wanted an exorbitant amount for iron baluster. We had Majestic replace the stock balusters with ornate iron. I am very pleased with the final product, and the price was less than half of what my home builder requested. That said, this company was difficult. 1. Majestic failed to show up for our scheduled consultation. The salesmen stated he had not been informed of our appointment. He did accommodate at at time and came later that day. 2. Majestic failed to show up for the scheduled delivery appointment. When called they stated the materials hadn't shown up. Rather than reschedule, they simply failed to show up after I had arranged to be here for the day. 3. They didn't order enough of one of the rails and couldn't finish when they finally showed up for the appointment. 4. Believe it or not, they failed to show up for the scheduled appointment to install the last baluster. I'm satisfied in the end, but Majestic was recklessly cavalier with my time. It shouldn't be that difficult to complete a job. read more
