My wife and I have been getting therapy from Tan at Majestic Therapy and Wellness for a few years now. He has been an absolute godsend for my chronic pain issues. I have had major back issues, leading to multiple surgeries for fusions, disc work, and an artificial disk replacement, and have muscle issues and pinch nerves all over my back. When I have a flair, Tan uses his majestic anatomy knowledge and massage techniques to bring relief. One thing to keep in mind is that Tan is an amazing neuromuscular/massage therapist and uses specific techniques to find all the right trigger points, stretches and body work that is FAR beyond your typical massage. Majestic Therapy provides some of the best therapy that you can get; however, there should be an expectation/understanding that the therapy is almost a cross between physical therapy and several other treatment techniques, not your normal Swedish or deep tissue massage. This is a most grateful review for an amazing experience I had at Majestic Therapy! I had let work related stress build up in my neck and shoulders and upper back until I hit a crisis point. I had pulsing stabbing pain right behind my right ear for about 4 or 5 days until it became excruciating and I couldn't ignore it any longer. I had never had this type of stress "headache" before. After talking to the Kaiser advice nurse I determined that it wasn't a medical problem. I was desperate for some pain relief. I needed something more than a regular Swedish massage which I have lots of experience with at a wonderful spa type establishment. I went right to Yelp to try to get a same day appointment with a health care provider that could address my pain which was muscle based. Well, my guardian Angel was looking out for me, I guess, as Tan answered the phone and gave me hope. He had one appointment left for the day, at 5:30pm, but another client had tentatively requested it. Even though Tan was in the middle of a patient session he went above and beyond to try to contact the other patient to see if she actually wanted the appointment. He got back to me in a very timely manner and offered the appointment to me! Well, after 60 minutes of his skilled and (to me) magical abilities, I walked out pain free and feeling like a new woman. Mind you, this is not a hot towels and essential oils type of massage, but a no nonsense expert and right to the point medical massage meant to release ones mangled muscles from screaming pain. I will happily return for a one week follow up and then continue with Tan on a monthly basis to keep my 70 year old body functioning at its full capacity and pain free. I will still use my spa massage therapist for extra comfort and relaxation ,oh, and the hot towels and sage oil. Both therapies are needed and helpful to this aging baby boomer, LOL! read more

Tan with Majestic therapy is the go-to person for pain relief! I had a shoulder issue that I saw my primary physician about to no avail. Over the next two years after seeing a head and neck surgeon, being referred for an ultrasound and then an MRI and told there was nothing that could be done I was referred to Tan by a mutual friend. Two visits later with Tan my issue and pain were completely gone. Thank you Tan! Don't suffer with pain or taking pain medication to get you through your day. I had suffered an injury on the job and was battling chronic back, neck and shoulder pain for over a year. When I say chronic pain, I mean it felt like blistering hot shards of glass had been impaled in my shoulder, neck and back nerves. I would could not sleep, eat and I would vomit when the pain flared up. I tried massage, acupuncture, chiropractic, opioids, electric stimulation, nerve pain medication, steroids, and various cocktail injections to relive the dreadful pain. Nothing worked except a high dosage of addictive opioid pain pills. I could not stand the way the pills made me feel and I could not begin to think straight. I was dejected and becoming depressed over the prospect of living this way. I heard about Tan from a friend who explained he uses a medical based methodology to massage therapy. I sat down with Tan, he evaluated me and explained his proposed fix in medical terms. After my first visit, I felt a noticeable difference with the pain being significantly dulled. I read so many wonderful reviews and was so hopeful that I had finally found someone to help me with my chronic back pain. Sadly, the experience that I had was far from what I was expecting. I would not recommend Tan to anyone. Not only was I in more pain when I left than when I went in, I was also an emotional wreck. After being insulted 3 times about my weight, I left his office in tears. What he failed to take into account prior to calling me fat was that I have had a long time battle with thyroid disease. I literally starve myself and still can't loose the pounds. This horrible waste of an appointment has sent me reeling. I have to say this was the best "therapy" I have ever had. The owner, Tan, was very knowledgeable about the body and muscles and was able to explain everything he was doing and why. I went in with my lower back and hip hurting, and left feeling like a new person. I was worried my back would hurt again after a few days... like getting tense or tight, but it hasn't.
