Specialties
Majestic Yoga Studio specializes in small, personalized yoga classes that integrate mindful movement, breath awareness, and therapeutic alignment. Our approach blends the traditional teachings of yoga with modern knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, Pilates, and somatic movement.
We are known for our Movement Therapy method, developed by founder Lindsay Gibson through decades of teaching and research in Applied Anatomy and Physiology. Classes are designed to support strength, mobility, nervous system regulation, and overall well-being.
Majestic offers yoga classes, meditation, therapeutic movement, workshops, and private instruction in a warm, welcoming environment. Our small class sizes allow teachers to work closely with each student and adapt practices to individual needs, abilities, and experience levels.
Students come to Majestic for thoughtful instruction, a supportive community, and a calm, beautiful space to practice.
History
Established in 1979.
Majestic Yoga Studio was founded in 1997 by Lindsay Gibson. Originally established in Concord, Massachusetts, the studio moved to Cambridge in 2000, where it quickly became part of the vibrant Observatory Hill community near Harvard Square. Today, Majestic Yoga Studio is located at 250 Huron Ave overlooking Huron Village.
Majestic is dedicated to yoga, mindfulness, meditation, and therapeutic movement. Our studio is a warm and welcoming sanctuary where students can slow down, reconnect, and cultivate well-being.
Classes are intentionally small so that each student receives individual attention. We believe every body is different, and there is no single “right” way to practice yoga. Movements are coordinated with the breath to guide students inward and support awareness, strength, and balance.
At Majestic, we aim to empower students through mindful movement, self-awareness, and a joyful, supportive community.
