Major Perk is conveniently located just down the road from where I work. The staff is very patient and friendly. The coffee is always good, well I am a latte lover. I am so glad they have milk alternatives for this lactose intolerant person. They will put as little or as much sweetness as you want. It turns out perfect every time. I love the cream cheese danish too. They do have a discount for active military, first responders, nurses, and teachers. Tried this place for the first time today and it didn't disappoint. Inside was clean and organized and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything seemed well priced. I got a hot chocolate with whipped marshmallow topping and a banana nut muffin. The hot chocolate was the perfect balance of flavors, and the muffin was fresh and delicious. My husband had an ice latte with dulce de leche and a breakfast burrito with bacon and salsa verde. He enjoyed his coffee and the burrito was also good (I tried a bite, normally not a fan, but this one was good). Our son had a berry smoothie that has strawberries, blueberries and raspberries. Very cute coffee shop that has a small area for kids to play, as well as a library! Loved all the military decor and the overall feel of this place. The coffee was delicious, a nice bold taste. I ordered the Ft. Oak and it was really good. Only issue with the coffee was the cup only felt about halfway filled because of the amount of foam in it, and my daughter drink, at kids temp, was almost cold. Great coffee shop! Found this on our road trip to New Mexico. Most importantly the coffee is very good. I'm picky and mostly just enjoy a nice iced latte and this one was solid in taste. Also had a blueberry muffin and it was perfect - not too sweet. In addition, they support veterans and I love that because my daughter is in the navy. I like a good themed coffee shop and this one has a great theme. Super friendly and fast service. They have a wonderful community atmosphere and give back to the community. This place is awesome! I love how they support the military & they are really friendly! I got an iced snickerdoodle latte with oat milk & also an iced berry smoothie! They were both super yummy! Their WiFi is fast & it is cozy inside. The only drawback I have is that there are not a lot of gluten free choices since I have celiac (not their fault!) DAYUM good coffee!! Almost as good as Coffee Grinder in Granbury and that's a pretty high bar. Very smooth, unique flavors, delicious. Of course Starbucks and all of those other chains don't even compare. I'm so glad I decided to try them. Stopped by again on another trip to the area. Again, great customer service and great London Fog and Chai. I only have one suggestion for you for your hot tea customers. Please provide an English breakfast or Irish breakfast tea for morning. Harney (which you use for London Fog) has great selections for an unflavored morning breakfast tea. Great customer service and quick. The location is somewhat in an odd spot and it is not the most convenient to get to the location. They have many discounts which is nice ... however, if you want to enjoy your coffee I would NOT go here. Their coffee is terrible! It is poorly roasted. The coffee is very bitter and the flavors don't mix well. I have had their drinks a few times hoping that they would get better. Today I thought I would try something different to give them another chance so I got an Oat Milk Matcha Latte with vanilla but it was way too sweet. Not mixed well. First time stopping here. The place is super clean. I had a medium iced decaf latte. The latte was super good, a smooth tasting drink, no bitterness and no burnt taste. I usually get a red eye with a hint of oak milk, and my wife gets the sugar free vanilla latte with fat-free half and half. I was hoping for a good experience here after all the positive reviews I read. Unfortunately I will not be back. I ordered a latter with almond milk since I have a milk allergy. After my first sip I knew it was regular milk because I started to have an allergic reaction. I couldn't take it back either and tell them because I needed meds right away. I live in South Carolina and my mother-in-law moved to Weatherford. While visiting her this past summer my daughter and I discovered Major Perk. It became an obsession and we drove there every morning for over a week. The service was exceptional! The staff quickly remembered us from day to day. The coffee was the best I've ever had. My daughter frequents coffee shops too, and Major Perk is also her favorite. On our last day we were sad to leave my mother-in-law, but we were really sad to leave the coffee. We often joke about relocating to Texas and Major Perk is always at the top of the list as to why. read more
