When I reached out to them, they basically said it's not their problem and "your plumber or contractor can drill the necessary holes and reattach the dishwasher". Fortunately, I went through FCA to contract the work originally and they sent someone out to fix my issue, free of charge, otherwise I would have had to pay someone else to come out and take care of the shotty work GMD did.

When he finished that job he came over, got out his ladder, and looked at my chimney which tops out at 2 1/2 stories. He figured out what it needed (1. cut-out and R&R one broken brick, 2. complete cleaning with a power wash, and 3. R&R the old flaunching on top), gave me a very reasonable estimate, and came back two days later to do the job. I could not be happier. He performed what he promised in a timely fashion, and cleaned up the site after he was done. He even looked at a little vertical crack I had under a bay window, and dug it out and replaced the mortar in the joint ... and he did not charge extra for that. So I have nothing but good things to say about this fellow. I have worked with four other masonry outfits (3 for estimates and one for a small job), and Steve at Masterly Masonry is far and away the best. His prices are reasonable and he won't nickel and dime you to death. He does quality work ... 'nuff said.

I decided to go with Granite Mountain located at 14027 W Illinois Hwy, New Lenox, IL 60451. I dealt with Mark and Michelle, who are not only knowledgeable, but honest. They captured what I wanted, helped me pick my selections from their showroom, and kept me updated throughout the whole process. In Mark's words, there are many moving parts-that need to come together on time- and he made it happen, having staff here every day for the duration of the project. Each day I was impressed at the progress made, as well as the fact that I was able to live here, due to how clean his staff kept it. Mark timed everything perfectly. The whole house now has beautiful LVT flooring, all new oak woodwork throughout, 6 panel doors, trim, window casings, jams, fireplace mantel - all stained to the color I chose, beautiful granite and quartz countertops in kitchen and bathrooms, all smoke damage cleaned and painted, backsplash tile in the kitchen and beautiful kitchen soft close cabinets. I contacted Southwest Fireplace to repair a Heatilator fireplace. I agreed to have them tune up the…read morefireplace and diagnose why the fireplace was not lighting. A technician from Southwest Fireplace visited my home and diagnosed the problem as a faulty pilot assembly. Another company had previously said the pilot was fine but diagnosed a faulty fireplace valve. Southwest Fireplace later came out to replace the pilot assembly and complete the tune-up. While working on the fireplace, the technician asked who had told me that the pilot assembly was faulty. I replied that Southwest Fireplace had diagnosed the faulty pilot assembly. It seemed odd that the technician questioned as to who said the prior pilot assembly was faulty. I asked if the fireplace valve was ok and the technician said the valve was fine. The technician seemed to have some difficulty lighting the fireplace after replacing the pilot assembly and completing the tune-up. A short time after the work was done, I attempted to turn on the fireplace but it would not start up. I contacted Southwest Fireplace and was told that I would have to pay for an additional diagnostic check to determine why the fireplace was not working. Given that the fireplace failed without really being used since the repair, it would appear that Southwest Fireplace had initially misdiagnosed the problem. And now, Southwest Fireplace expects me to pay them again to re-diagnose the problem. I have already paid them several hundred dollars and still have a non-working fireplace. I do not recommend doing business with this company. The rating should be zero, but one of five is the lowest option available for the review.
