Choose if you want to shop grocery at Times or Safeway, same distance. Really perfect location. Our apartment was incredible. It didn't face the ocean but that's ok. They have some that do, or the pool. It was huge. Nicely decorated and clean. Lots of space. Two bedrooms and sofa bed. Foosball table. Beach stuff to borrow and even a wagon to haul stuff. Parking garage right there. Always found an open space. Bell hops were helpful and friendly. They got nice gym, clay tennis courts, swimming pool, hot tub, and BBQ grills. All well kept. Unfortunately upon checkin, my requested two queen bed accommodations were unable to be provided. At the recommendation of the front desk clerk Caroline and the MOD (Manager on Duty) Keith We decided to opt for the king bed and roll in "Heavenly" twin. Keith was very apologetic for the lack of requested accomodations but provided us with an upgraded ocean view room and The LĀNAI . This resort is 5 stars in all respects. The staff experience was exceptional. The food & beverage experience was outstanding. The resort is spotless clean and meticulously maintained. The pools and surrounding decks were large enough that we never felt crowded or had an issue finding chairs. The resort has a huge game area "Valley Alley" with a full bar and kitchen. Well appointed with the latest games including VR, air hickey and even bowling. The resort is conveniently located right next to Whalers Village. A short 3 minute walk. Our room was well appointed with all the ammenities that you would expect from the Westin brand. From thick bath towels and The Heavenly bedding to ice cold A/C. This resort has it all. I was hoping to stay in the Napili Tower, mainly because I liked the pool area better--longer, more spread out, and largely oceanfront. That said, the Lahaina Tower ended up having its own perks. The biggest one is that it's right next to the self-parking structure that's used for the whole resort, which makes coming and going incredibly easy. If you're staying in the Napili tower, self-parking is all the way on the other side and I would recommend using valet instead to save you the walk. Our room was spacious and comfortable, technically "oceanfront," though it felt more like oceanview. Still, no complaints--the view was lovely, and the room itself had a convenient kitchenette with a fridge, sink, and all the basics (plates, utensils, etc.), which made snack time quick and easy. The Lahaina Tower also has its own smaller pool area, plus a few fun extras like ping pong and foosball. It's also right by Longhi's, if you're looking for an easy meal. If you want more action, the main pool area--with the large, winding pool and additional dining options--is just a short walk away. The weather during our stay wasn't the best--it was actually pretty chilly by Maui standards following the heels of two major storms--but we still had a great time. Between the comfortable room, convenient location, and easy access to everything on property, it made for a relaxed and low-effort getaway. While the resort may not be the newest, we really like the main pool area. I'll definitely opt for the Lahaina/Napili towers again next time. This is a great resort, especially for families looking for a laid-back Maui stay with nice views and plenty to do.

The property has everything you could possibly need -- pools, beach access, restaurants, shops, BBQ grills, valet parking and activities all within walking distance. It's a perfect spot for relaxing and enjoying the island without ever having to leave the resort. That said, some common items are definitely overpriced, and you can find better deals just a short walk or drive away. Still, the $50 all-you-can-drink option (coffee, tea, juice, and soda) was absolutely worth it -- super convenient and a great value for resort guests who want unlimited refills throughout the day good for the entire stay. Beautiful grounds, friendly staff, and an unbeatable location right on Kaanapali Beach. Just be prepared to spend a little more for the convenience.

During the day, they were using jack hammer type near us so we had to go to the pool. Nice and quite over there. Now, there are no dryer and washer. You need to use the community ones. Ours were less than 5 minutes away. Also, no cooktops. You also need to use community kitchen. You do have own set of pots and pans and dishes in the unit. Starbucks on site but very busy. You can order food and drink using the app and be delivered to your table. Longhi restaurant on site but the Ohana discount card doesn't work and you can do a room charge if the system works. Have a gift shop for some prepackaged food, drinks and convenience items. The resort is almost touching the ocean with plenty of clean endless beaches, cabanas you can reserve and plenty of beach chairs. Highly recommend!

I understand people saving seats by the pool being a problem, where I see the problem is music being played when none is played at the pool. My mom pays WAY TOO MUCH to not be able to play music by the pool. Let me elaborate that this music was nothing explicit and at a very respectable level and we asked everyone around us if they cared, they actually appreciated the music due to the pool never playing music like their sigh says they do. They are doing construction so all day you hear the loud noise, some music goes a very long way. Back to the pool police, Tom will go around and tell people to turn off their music even if you can't hear it from 5 ft away. People and workers here just are not as friendly as all of the other resorts we have stayed at and it's not even the nicest one we stayed at so where the unfriendliness comes from is absolutely mind blowing. Beside all of that, the pool is very pretty and large and the bar is great. No complaints about our room. A little out dated but spacious

And really nice view almost anywhere outside overlooking the ocean. The coffee shop and general store they have inside the hotel is super convenient. The pools are clean enough. It's very family friendly. However, they are always crowded. So I kind of hate that -- and I have two kids myself. Additionally, it seemed like a lot of construction is currently going on around the fitness area. And you have to hike from the main tower to pretty much anywhere. Not as luxurious or as pristine as the Kauai location, like I said. So not a Hyatt thing. I think just this particular location.

But it does have a lot of other things going for it. Our favorite is the location to the boardwalk and the super easy access to the most beautiful beach. Perfect for morning walks. Snorkeling is incredible there. Also turtles, sometimes dolphins, monk seals and tons of whales during whale season. You have to pay $90 for two beach chairs and an umbrella. $36 for just an umbrella. Parking is $35 a night. It all adds up quickly. If you want a lounge chair at the pool, you have to get up by 5 AM to get the one you want. They have activities all day and live music most nights- really enjoyable to sit by the fit pit, watch the sunset and live. The rooms are hit and miss. Sometimes we get an ocean view where you can see a sliver of water. Another time we were next to their laundry units, which were loud. Other times we were ocean front and it was incredible to watch the whales. The little kitchenette is perfect. They are well stocked. And I love that you can do laundry. They clean the rooms every two days but you can ask for supplies if you need anything.

Communication throughout the process was poor, and we never felt that anyone took real ownership of the issue. The only compensation offered was a $50 resort credit, which did not reflect the inconvenience or the time we spent trying to resolve a problem that should never have existed. Beyond our room, both the villas and many of the common areas felt worn, dingy, and lacking the level of care we have come to expect from the Westin brand. The most disappointing aspect of our stay wasn't simply the condition of the property--it was the apparent lack of urgency and concern from management. We have always associated Westin with quality, service, and attention to detail. Unfortunately, this experience fell well below those expectations. The food was really good, the restaurant on the beach was always packed with people. They have live music on the beach during happy hour. When visiting Maui, come check out Hilton Vacation Club you won't be disappointed.

We also loved the pool. Lots of pool seats available unlike other hotels. I guess it helps that it's at the end of the strip so you don't really have as much crowds coming through. We grabbed some snorkel gear to explore Black Rock and it was full of marine life. What a beautiful spot (I grew up on an island myself and will tell you it's a legit snorkeling experience). The food and beverage options were limited. Breakfast was pretty pricey so we decided to go elsewhere to try a little bit of everything for meals which we were planning to do anyway. We did get food at the pool bar - karaage chicken and fries were so good! We went back for the fries and got a fruit smoothie. One downside is that since the Moana building was at the end of the property so we had to take several elevator rides through the hotel just to get to the lobby. That was fine since it encouraged us to get our steps in but could be frustrating. All in all a wonderful experience!

It sits on a quieter stretch of Ka'anapali Beach, so it never feels as crowded as some of the neighboring resorts. It is also right next to Black Rock, which means you can skip paying for a snorkeling tour and simply walk over yourself. We snorkeled there three times and saw sea turtles every single time. If you are lucky enough to get upgraded to an ocean view room, the sunsets are absolutely stunning and worth looking forward to every evening. The downsides are hard to ignore. The rooms are definitely dated, although they were very clean. The restaurants on site are expensive and the food was average at best. Breakfast costs nearly $50 per person, and the buffet was nothing special. For what the resort charges, I expected a much better dining experience. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. One tip: reserve your poolside cabana online before you arrive because they often sell out. If you can book this property using points (good redemption of course), I think it is worth it. If you are paying cash, I believe there are better values elsewhere in Maui. Overall, we had a pleasant stay, but it did not live up to its price tag.
