If you're searching for the perfect getaway for families and couples, look no further than Maui Hill! Since our first visit in 2013, we've returned over ten times. Each trip feels like home, thanks to the outstanding service and welcoming atmosphere. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel special--from the friendly check-in to the customer experience. While we've stayed at other properties, such as the Outrigger Palms, Mana Kai Resort (across the street), and Airbnbs, we don't recommend them because nothing compares to the experience at Maui Hill. There are also no hidden fees, like resort and parking, which you must consider when choosing properties. Each unit has its character and vibe, with well-stocked kitchens and a spacious primary bedroom that opens onto the lanai--perfect for sipping your morning coffee while soaking in the stunning views. The generously sized accommodations often come with beach chairs, and the peaceful lanai invites you to relax and enjoy the sounds of nature. Get the 10% discount at Foodland upon check-in! The beach is just a short walk away, and the property has a relaxing swimming pool, tennis court, and shuffleboard. We love how Dennis Costa, the General Manager, makes us feel like family, and the entire staff genuinely cares about our experience. They have a weekly manager mai tai party, which is welcoming and fun. Conveniently located near shops, restaurants, and Kamaole Beach Parks, Maui Hill is also an excellent choice for remote workers. It offers spacious rooms and reliable high-speed Wi-Fi. This is Maui's best-kept secret, and we can't wait for our next adventure at the end of this month!

DO NOT BOOK HERE!!! This place was filthy disgusting! They had huge roaches " water bugs!" Both washer and dryer were broken. The blankets provided by the hotel are ancient, itchy and stink. The walls are filthy! The springs were popping out of the mattress! Both stove and dishwasher were filthy. Housekeeping came in and went into drawers they weren't supposed to and touched my bedding I bought from my house after I asked them not to. Housekeeping was asked to mop and brought a dirty STINKY mop from another room they were cleaning cross contaminating germs. I had to ask them to leave! The AC felt like a swamp cooler as the day got hotter. SHOUT OUT TO JAMES IN THE OFFICE WHO FIXED THE LEAK AND MOLD IN THE AC PROMPTLY! He was the only person who I truly thought gave a crap about the room. The TV's in the room are old. The couch is so far away from the TV in the front room that you can't see or hear it. ESPECIALLY WITH THE OLD AC UNIT GOING! The toilet water ran all night. I feel like this place needs to be repaired ASAP! It's a health hazard and outdated!

    Lots of chickens here!

You won't find a better deal for the reasonable rates! We needed a three bedroom place for our winter trip, and this checked all the boxes. We loved the kitchenette, storage, eating and lounging areas, and the closet with items for the beach. It was really roomy and much bigger than what you are likely to find elsewhere on Maui. Perhaps the biggest selling point was the washer and dryer, since the four of us were able to knock out our laundry several times during our week and a half stay. The partial ocean view was really lovely, and it was easy to walk to the main road from the stairs to get to the beach and local businesses. It was easy to get to plenty of stores by foot, and we really enjoyed finding places for breakfast on our morning walks. The furnishings aren't luxurious, but everything was in good working order. There was plenty of parking for each section, so we had no difficulty finding a space right by our unit no matter when we were returning from excursions. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. There were a few things that were a bit disruptive, but none of them were the hotel's fault. Most of our stay was quiet. However, during the last two days someone checked in to the unit beneath us with what I could only assume was a herd of elephants learning parkour. (The next morning, I saw the two children looking out from the balcony screaming at 6 AM. The mother looked at me and shrugged saying, "It's their first time in Hawaii." And...???!) The walls were literally shaking all the way to the third level as they ran around, so don't assume an upper-level room will result in more quiet. My mom was also not really excited about her "rooster alarm clock," but a noise machine app on my phone was enough for me to sleep. Despite our best efforts to keep everything clean and empty the trash regularly, the kitchen was overrun by ghost ants. However, you'll get ants and bugs pretty much everywhere in Hawaii, since they also thrive with the warm weather. The employees were all wonderful. We really appreciated the information they provided throughout our stay. We even received a lovely fruit basket to enjoy during the trip. Overall, we were happy with our stay here. I would definitely come back if I was looking for a place for a group and needed multiple rooms.

We had a fabulous time we picked this place not knowing how wonderful it was going to be. It was a two bedroom suite overlooking the ocean. The pool was fabulous. The owner of the property is on site and takes care of everything We got to meet him talk with him it is wonderfully well kept property And I absolutely 100% recommend choosing to stay here ... it is a timeshare property, but you can rent it per night, and it actually is reasonably rated

what's not to like here. A wonderful resort operated by wondefful ppl. Dennis Costas and Nacy Benson made it happen for us. A month in paradise for us. So relaxing in a beautiful areas and reasonably priced. They are ver accommodating. My husband is handicapped in a w/c. Maui Hill provided ramps so he was safe and a shower chair. There are safety bars in the bathroom too. We rented a ramp for our Hertz truck to put his motorized Gogo Pride in from Gammies n they delivered it. Our Alaskan Air flight was great too. He could drive hiss Gogo to the plane. They have a small w/c in the isle to transpory him. All very helpful. The pool at Maui Hill is very nuce, a get acquainted party on Monday eve across the road n private up on a bluff with ocean views.. TS too or rent. A putting green, tennis n shuffleboard, towels for pool, handy person to help with reservations. An established place with beautiful grounds, AC nit too far from airport n away fom crowds. Love it here. Thank you Dennis n Nancy from the bottom of our hearts. The big fruit basket was nice too. Great Aloha hospitality. Home away feom home. I will always stay here with my family. Large rooms, 2 br, 2 bath with full kitchen n outside BBQ. Plenty of parking n crew tlo help. just a super place TV in every room. just great, thx again. (sorry i cant correct errs)

First off, I'm impressed by the extra mile the Aston resorts go to take care of their guests. So, on Oct 2 there was a significant brush fire- closing off Honoapiilani Hwy right as we landed at the Kahului airport. At almost every point (gate, rental agency, Costco) we were told that we had no chance of getting to Lahaina. And where did we make reservations? At the Aston Papakea in Lahaina! So, we called the Aston Papakea resort to see whether they could transfer our reservations, to a sister resort-for one night or as long as needed due to the circumstances. We were told to come to the Aston Maui Hill as they had available Condos and it would be free-of-charge as we had reservations for another Aston resort. We were one of the lucky ones as our trip wasn't hugely affected by the brush fire and my little ones were in bed by 9pm. The next day, I found out that many tourists were not as lucky as we were and some were stuck on the highway till past midnight. We understand that things happen that can affect everyone's plans: locals and tourist. And no resort or hotel is obliged to save their guests' visits as they and their employees are affected just as much. But I am very impressed by the Aston resorts and their efforts to house stranded guests. The condo we stayed at was comfortable with all the needed facilities. Also, I love how the condos have a washer and dryer combo. You definitely need it when in Hawaii. Aston Maui Hill, mahalo nui loa!

LOVED, LOVED, LOVED, the Aston Maui Hill. It was our first time to be in Maui. We loved the place just as soon as we entered the facility. The grounds are immaculate!!! The rooms are large and spacious. They have everything you need. The queen bed was firm but comfortable. Our room was very nice and clean. It is located just on the outskirts of Wailea. It's located in Kihei but just by a few blocks. Across the street is a beautiful beach that we just loved to go to and walk. Very close to the Kihei restaurants. Within walking distance. There is a Safeway not to far away from the hotel, if you need some groceries. We found it to be the perfect location for us.

Can't beat the view from the Lanai!

Aston Maui Hill is amazing! Dennis and his staff went above and beyond, especially after our party ran into a bit of an issue. Their assistance was priceless! The condos are located right off the main road in Kihei but not too close that you can hear the traffic. Only four units to a building so you don't feel packed in. Each one (we rented three separate units) was clean, well stock kitchen, comfortable for a family to spread out and had a good size lanai to enjoy the beautiful views and sunsets. The grounds are beautiful and well-kept with a swimming pool, tennis courts and community BBQs. Can not recommend this place enough!

Complete disrespect for my personal items.

In comparison to some other brands such as Aman, Four Seasons Maui felt below average given its price point. The resort itself felt small and a bit old. The service felt very below average and inconsistent. One employee would tell you the sun umbrellas at the pools near the bushes are not adjustable while literally 2 mins later another employee came and adjusted the sun umbrella next to me and also mine when I asked. When we went to the adult pool we were told by one employee that we needed to be on a waitlist. After 3 hours when we finally got notified that it was our turn and went back we noticed other guests just literally went and grabbed empty benches and staffs were just setting the benches up for them(no, they didn't even know there was a waitlist)... Our canoe experience at the last day of our stay got canceled due to high wind and the concierge never notified us etc. Many employees gave me the vibe that they don't really care. They just gave me fake smiles and robotic responses. Maybe Amond would take better care of us...if he is still alive... The view was very amazing. We even spotted whales many times.

My advice is to call the concierge before you arrive and book the complementary canoe ride as it gets filled fast. I called them from LA 2 weeks before arriving and got the last spot. If you're a couple and you are there for more than two days you'll appreciate the ability of the early riser to get up, make some coffee and hang on the lanai without disturbing the one of you who likes to sleep in. The bathroom was large and luxurious and supplied with really nice Le Labo soaps, shampoos and lotions. In addition, the property is immaculate and the public spaces are beautiful. There are three attractive pools -- one of which is adult only and there's a beach with attended lounge chairs at the bottom edge of the property. Our stay included the breakfast buffet, which had a wide assortment of choices that were nicely prepared. A downside of the hotel is that they host a number of corporate events and it can sometimes feel a bit crowded. Many mornings during our stay, there was a good size line at the host's station to be seated for breakfast. And once we were seated, navigating the buffet stations was a bit hectic. Similarly, the lounge chairs on the beach are within inches of each other. When sitting on your lanai, the music from one corporate cocktail event or another provides the soundtrack for the evenings. And one final nit -- the Nespresso capsules in the room were very nice, but the coffee served at breakfast was abysmal. So don't get me wrong. This is a very nice place and we had an enjoyable stay. But if you're sensitive to having your own space most of the time, this might not work for you.

We had nothing but positive interactions with the valet and the front desk. The staff that work at the on-site restaurants were also lovely. Our ocean view room was clean and spacious. It had all of the amenities we could hope for and the shower had wonderful water pressure. My only request would be that there was a shelf in the shower to put the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, as we ended up having to put them on the floor and bending over in the shower while pregnant is not an easy task. The linens were soft and I appreciated the opportunity to earn food and beverage credit or Hilton reward points if we opted out of having our room cleaned each day. The blackout curtains in the room were also wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the sunset from our balcony each evening and listening to the live music that was performed each night down by the pool. There was ample pool space with plenty of pool chairs, both in the sun and in the shade. Access to the beach was extremely easy. While we were there, we also took part in morning yoga, access to the complementary aquatic activities, a sound bath under the full moon, and the infamous luau. A Beautiful Property Marred by Frustrating Service and Absurd Policies…read more My wife and I recently stayed at the Grand Wailea to celebrate her birthday. While the property itself is stunning and boasts some genuinely great amenities, the experience was a confusing mix of highs and deeply frustrating lows. The frustration started immediately. The valet was in a massive rush to get me out of the car without listening to my questions about early check-in. I was told temporary parking wasn't allowed without someone staying in the car - an odd policy for guests who might just need a restroom break after a long drive. Prior to arrival, I received an email stating that if my room wasn't ready, the bellman would store our luggage on the 4th floor and we could enjoy an "exclusive private check-in" at the 8th-floor Napua Lounge. None of this happened. The bell desk informed me the 8th-floor staff went on lunch break at 2 PM and never returned. I was forced into a massive, slow-moving line on the 4th floor with only four staff members helping about eight families. When I finally got to the front, I was handed keys without a room number and told to wait in the lobby for a text. I booked a 1 King Bed with Sofa bed, Ocean View. I was grateful they upgraded us to the Napua Tower for my wife's birthday, but the room lacked an actual ocean view from the inside. I could only see the building across from us unless I went out to the balcony and look at the right corner. Worse, the room wasn't properly prepared. The bed and pillows were messy, and there was a white, crusty spill (coffee or food sauce) over the TV. Despite calling to request a cleaning while we went out, housekeeping remade the bed but completely ignored the dirty TV. This was arguably the most nonsensical part of the stay. The beachside shop closes at 3:30 PM - the prime time guests want to be on the beach for sunset! If you don't return your Tommy Bahama beach chair (which retails for about $100 brand new) by 3:30, they charge a $100 penalty to your room. Furthermore, to get two chairs for my wife and me, the staff demanded we both be physically present to check them out. If a family of 10 wants chairs, all 10 people have to stand in line. On top of this, everyone is forced to wear plastic wristbands. For a luxury resort, this feels incredibly cheap, wasteful, and poorly managed. You are forced into an $80/night valet with no self-parking option - which cost me more than four days of gas driving around the island. Add to that a $55 daily resort fee, and it feels like pure greed when you are already paying upwards of $1,200+ a night. To top it off, my checkout invoice was wrong. My property credits were not applied correctly, resulting in overcharges that staff dismissed by saying it would "calculate automatically" (it didn't). While email communication was okay, the chat feature on the hotel's app and website is completely useless, taking forever to get a response. The pools and jacuzzis are exceptionally clean, well-managed, and expansive. There is more than enough space for everyone, so it never feels uncomfortably crowded. The poolside, lounge, and housekeeping staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to help with directions or questions. The beach right in front of the resort is fantastic. It's a truly wonderful place to relax and watch the sunset. Although email responses were slow in the days leading up to the trip, the concierge staff was very supportive once connected and personally helped me re-coordinate a dinner reservation. The room itself (aside from the view and TV) featured a great sofa, nice decor, and a spotless bathroom. Ultimately, the Grand Wailea is a classic case of "all sizzle and no steak". The natural beauty and physical property are fantastic, but the exorbitant and hidden fees, lack of basic communication between departments, and insulting, restrictive guest policies severely detract from what should be a world-class luxury experience.

A glass of champagne or mimosa would have been a nice touch for keeping us captive when we really just wanted to be off enjoying our stay. We didn't know about the "club" before making reservations, so the sales pitch was a surprise. The facility was renovated and quite nice appearing. The kitchen and in room laundry facilities were nice to have, although the laundry machine and drier in our room was inconveniently LOUD, So we just set it when we were leaving the unit. Unfortunately, that was not our only experience with unacceptable noise levels. Our upstairs neighbors slammed their doors, chairs, and stomped during the day and night. The noise transmission was in direct contrast to the beautifully renovated rooms. The door to the bathrooms did not soft close. In fact, it was easily slammed shut. The sliding door to the bathrooms did also did not soft close and easily slammed shut... perhaps a suggestion for a future update? The noise from stomping on the floor... ask for the top floor! Or, if you're hard of hearing you should be fine.

Location is great being minutes from Kahului and Wailea. I love the bars in Kihei - best people watching and they have a movie theater with recliners! The resort had 4 pools with its own private beach, just across the street from the rooms.. not an issue to walk right over.. we saw turtles there :) Everyone at the resort was nice. Contrary to what people say about the pool temps, I had no issue and thought they were perfect. Also, never heard the construction the whole time and I was in building 6 in the corner closest to the construction. I would definitely come back.
