This…read moreparticular restaurant is a food stand connected to a gas station with just a couple of seats outside. They're pretty efficient so we had our food within a couple of minutes. Pita Burrito, Carne Asada ($16.27) - Huge burrito incoming, probably over 2 lb. I would say similar to Mission-sized, but the interior ingredients are not quite up to standard. Still, very impressive for the region. There's a large tortilla, warm and pliable, absolutely filled with tons of stuff. Firstly, a very good portion of beef, not seasoned much other than salt, but giving a great beefy flavor. The beef chunks are crisped up on the flat top perfectly, giving plenty of texture. This does dry out the meat, so there's a tradeoff, but that's what the cheese, guac and sour cream are for. Enough moisture is included so that, while not nearly as messy to eat as a typical Mission burrito, it's enough for each bite. There's a well balanced portion of rice and beans as well. The construction is pretty good so the burrito can be eaten in the hand without issues. (5/5) Is this the best burrito in the world, as some people seem to think? No way, but I think it's very solid for being in Washington and is one of the best I've had since moving to the state. Note: Pita's charges a little extra for credit card usage. I'm not sure how much percentage (it was 27 cents for us), and I don't recall them having a sign up stating they charge for credit cards.

The first three times we waited in front of the sandwich station and were ignored all three times - no one even looked our way, and staff were not busy. They keep the sandwich fixings covered with metal lids which makes it appear that they are not set up to make sandwiches. I engaged one of the workers who was preparing sushi to let her know I would like a sandwich. She pointed to another worker who was joking around with some other customers and while she did so, she did not check to see who else might be waiting. When the other people left I walked down to ask about having a sandwich made. There was some subtle attitude but she walked down to the station and made the sandwich I requested. It seemed like I was putting her out. Husband picked out a premade sandwich to avoid getting the stink eye we assumed could happen if we asked for a second sandwich. Like many other Safeways we have been to, the restroom cleanliness is marginal. This one has an unpleasant smell.

After ordering and getting our food to get anyone to come back to our table was a little harder and waving them down for a refill or to cash out they seemed annoyed. Overall we left with just a meh feeling. Maybe we'd come back for the axe throwing and a coffee, but probably check out somewhere else for food. Check them out for yourself.
