The place is huge and gives off a rustic vibe. We were greeted and the server was friendly. The food was just meh... my mom really liked her chicken tenders and baked potato. The pizzas and coleslaw were less appealing. The pear and goat cheese pizza was missing something to tie it together, like a base. The fire sticks were pretty bland and reminded us of frozen pizza. The coleslaw had an odd taste and was not a fan favorite at our table. After ordering and getting our food to get anyone to come back to our table was a little harder and waving them down for a refill or to cash out they seemed annoyed. Overall we left with just a meh feeling. Maybe we'd come back for the axe throwing and a coffee, but probably check out somewhere else for food. Check them out for yourself. read more

We had an EXCELLENT time here on Thanksgiving Eve. We came for a friends birthday. The place was packed and they were having a Singo event. Music bingo. It was so FUN!!! Sadly we didn't win but who doesn't love music and bingo for the whole family? Yes kids are welcome inside too. Our servers were so freaking friendly and didn't let themselves be bogged down by how busy it was. They gave us their full attention each time and even did some friendly chatting with us while we tried to figure out what drink to order. My MIL got the Beechers Mac & Cheese and it was delicious! I'll definitely order this the next time I'm in and hungry. They had giant Corona beers, which was kinda cool. I haven't seen that fat of a Corona before in the wild. We will definitely be back! Cool place to come for a couple drinks, axe throwing, and to play some board games. I wouldn't come back for the food. Beers come in frosty glasses and the espresso martini was outstanding with freshly ground espresso beans. The food portions are quite small. The mac and cheese was definitely cheesy and came with some Parmesan shavings, though the noodles were a little stiff. The flatbread was bland and they went really light on the cheese and toppings. For axe throwing we went with the $20 per person for 20 minutes option since it was either 20 minutes or 70. The price was pretty steep, but since it was pretty quiet on a Sunday afternoon, they did let us extend our time for free to finish our game. This was my first visit to Casting Iron on a Saturday night, came to see a friend's favorite band. No tables available when we arrived, but one of the female servers was very helpful in getting us a table quickly that she knew was vacating. Service was good and all the employees had a smile on their faces and seemed to be having fun. The food was ok, the sliders were messy and overdone with condiments. Mac and Cheese had a some undercooked macaroni mixed in. I had one of the signature cocktails and it was super sweet, so switched to a vodka soda for my other one and it was spot on. Stopped in as we were driving to Mt. Rainier. The place looked really cool and the staff were friendly. I thought this would be a cool place to come to when we had more time. The staff greeted us and were friendly when we entered. We got our drinks and left. That's when I discovered all the syrup for my coffee drink was stuck on the bottom and side of the cup. It wasn't stirred. I tried using my straw but it didn't blend properly. Later I found my daughter hadn't drank her hot chocolate. She told me it tasted like warm milk. I poured it out and again all the syrup was on the bottom. This is a pretty miniscule problem in the large picture of world problems. I had scheduled lunch and axe throwing for my work team. Our waitress was inattentive, overcharged us and demonstrated the lack of hospitality. I sat myself upon entering the business and watched as the waitress visited and acknowledged what appeared to be her friends. On the fifth time of her walking by me, I asked for a moment of her time. I gave her my credit card and advised I would be paying for my team's event. I told her only two people would be throwing axes. My team had an amazing time. The employee that provided guidance on the axe throwing was great. I purchased three sweatshirts as gifts for my team. When the bill arrived, I handed the waitress $40.00 in cash for the tip. I figured the bill for food was roughly $110.00. As I looked over the bill, I noticed she had added and charged me for guacamole and jalapenos which we did not ask for nor did we eat. She added an extra person for throwing axes which was incorrect. She also added a $97.00 tip for herself. The Casting Irons receipt states groups over 6 will have a 20 percent gratuity added. This was more that 20 percent and there were only three of us. She wanted additional money for handing us sweatshirts. I added $10.00 to the bill for the tip, which gave her $50.00 total tip and left. While the business is unique and offers engaging activities, the overall experience was diminished by the lack of service and the attempt to overcharge. I sent a letter to the Casting Iron and waited for a response. I have heard nothing. The lack of response raises concerns about the business's level of accountability and speaks volumes about how little they value customer feedback. read more

Casting Iron is pretty cool. Their ax throwing lanes are really nice and so is their bar. Be careful if you plan on mixing the two activities! During my visit I was mostly observing others throw axes as I hurt my shoulder the day before, but again the venue was really well designed. They offer large tables with various other games like Jenga and a few others I can't recall. We had a ladies night, had some pretty good food, excellent service, and great fun place. Place was clean, loved the music they placed. At first I was scared of throwing the axe, but later felt confident as I kept throwing. All the pauses had a blast. 30.00 per person for an hour was well worth it. Our server Melissa was super sweet. I had sweet tea with free refills...delicious. Although I don't like burgers I decided to try the slider flight. I forgot which ones I chose but you get three. I only took a couple bites of each just to taste, then brought the rest home for my hubby to finish. He really enjoyed em'. I wish we had a place like this closer to where most of us live. First time here. Loved the atmosphere and the vibe. Service was slow and hard to flag our waitperson down. There was a group of people axe throwing and I'm surprised that one person who had open-toed sandals on was allowed to throw. Came here for my mom's birthday and loved it! For a 70 minute session very affordable, super easy online booking. Drinks were great and they even had cake which they put a candle in for her birthday. We went to Casting Iron for the first time. I wanted to surprise my husband for his 50th Birthday. I used the online reservation system to arrange a time to play. There were plenty of options and it was a quick couple of questions. We had already eaten dinner so we only ordered drinks. My husband had a beer and I had "Boat Shoes" a tropical drink. My second drink was a Key Lime Martini and it alone is worth a trip to Casting Iron!! Seriously. Ax throwing was definitely the highlight of the night. We quickly got our instructions and began play. Awesome Friday night here with a live band in the street! The hipsters played last night and it was a blast! The bar owner even jammed out with them on a few songs! Food- we had bbq brisket nachos that were very good, and a very large soft pretzel with beer cheese. See pics. The venue is really cool. 9 stalls for ax throwing and 1 party room in the back for private events. The food and beer appears to be all from local sources. There's an 85 inch tv behind the bar for sporting events also. The owner is reserving the entire place for homecoming and having a dinner for students only with free limo to the dance after! It was before 2pm on a Saturday for a bite to eat so it wasn't busy and our server was nice the tables are wooden with cast iron chairs so super heavy but comfy there was a deck of cards in a cute wooden box /caddy with silverware salt pepper shakers and the menus along with the drink menus too. If you want to do the throwing of the axes make a reservation especially for big parties it's fun to watch too. read more

Best axe throwing around! The axe throwing is a blast and the environment is fun! Lord of room to hang out before or after throwing. Food and drinks are delicious! The servers are great and provide too notch service while you are throwing. We have also been to SEA AXE in auburn and the atmosphere isn't even comparable. No food and only canned drinks at SEA AXE. It's also very dark and the boards are electronic while throwing. Casting iron provided a real-life axe throwing atmosphere! We absolutely love Casting Iron and cannot wait to return! read more

I. first and put my card on file but NEVER signed anything when my bf got charged $250 and plus his tip tip but they charged my card twice two different tansactions and I saw beginning amounts still have them screen shot and NOT AUTHORIZED added 10% tips on THEIR OWN when one PLAYEF ONE GAME only. The establishment had about 10 patrons and was not at all busy at the time. Her lack of professionalism and attitude greatly impacted my opinion in writing this review. It's a great idea, but we felt that it missed the bullseye. Looking for a place to grab a bite and a drink, we come across beer and axe throwing meets downtown Issaquah country sheik. Nice signature non/alcoholic drinks. Bavarian Pretzel served with Cheese, mustard and Nutella was interesting and good. Burned ends were not burnt ends and the macaroni was soggy. We ate while throwing, but the plate didn't even fit on what might have been intended to be just for drinks. We had a good time throwing axes, but there was an unwelcoming vibe. Walking in, I heard $30 for 70 minutes, but the safety meeting that is basically grab the axe at the bottom and don't be a moron is 10 minutes of your time...just cut them off and get it it. We didn't see a server for another 5 minutes. It was a decent crowd for downtown Enumclaw on a Thursday night, but the music was low, but it's a bar, turn it up. Get it hoppin. We went over 20 minutes and they didn't charge us, but no one lets you know when your time is up, so you have to keep an eye on it yourself. I think if someone let you know you're time was up, but if you want another hour or offered to move your food to a table...it would keep you there. We did our hour and felt like it was just time to leave. We went to cash out, it made sense. It's $30 each with 2 sodas, a signature nonalcoholic drink, pretzel and burnt ends Mac and cheese, it was $114. Which caught me off guard and the snotty girls at the counter were exactly what I expected. Like Sebastian Maniscalco says 'Get a good look at this place...' It should be a country sheik logger bar with a full menu so people come and eat dinner, throw axes for an hour and stay and drink. Make it less or free for an hour for the axe pit, not per person.
