While I was sad to see him upset, my heart exploded when I saw how much he loved and trusted his teacher to make him feel better. Their communication, willingness to treat each individual family with attention and care, and their welcoming classrooms make it an amazing place to care for your babies. Again, its based upon your child's needs and my son never cried here as he cried a lot in previous center so you never know! 4) Flexible flexible : just give them an advance notice and if they have space they will adjust you or switch you from regular time & day. I usually need this when i have to volunteer at my older child's school. 5) Dance/Gym/ Karate: Yes 6) Price: same as other day cares, reasonable. Though there are cheaper ones than this too. 7) Transportation: No link to transportation for after school from other elementary schools. Your own! 8) UPK: Not available as they have their own 2 1/2 hr program. 9) Teaching or learning activities: They keep the kids happy and engaged in various activities. They enforce teaching and learning through various methods but most important difference that i found here from previous place is that they pay special attention to details of each child's behavior. If my son doesn't listen, they make him listen. In the wake of the horrific events of the Buffalo Tops tragedy last weekend, I absolutely had to do…read moresomething to help. With the Tops where this senseless act of violence took place closed until further notice, the community around it needs help with access to groceries. I found a list of food pantries near the Tops, one of which is Rooted in Love Community Fridge. This is a fridge and dry pantry, so they typically accept donations of both perishable and dry goods. Today we brought down a couple bags of cold goods, and a few bags of pantry items. When we arrived, the lot was full of volunteers, all standing in the pouring rain and ready to help unload donations. We got there around lunchtime, and it was busy. It was a bit disorganized and confusing on where to park and where to bring the donations, but all of the volunteers were extremely friendly and wanted to help. They helped us carry our load of food into the building. I asked the volunteers what to do about the cold items, and most didn't know. An older gentleman acknowledged that he would get the items to the fridge. If you are going to make donations this week, I would recommend sticking with non-perishable pantry items for now. Since there was such an influx of donors and a lot of new volunteers just trying to do their best, things that won't spoil are probably better to bring for now. I am deeply appreciative and grateful for the volunteers and organizers of this food pantry option for our community. Only a few weeks after enrolling my children, I personally witnessed a staff member scream at an infant, aggressively rip a pacifier out of a child's mouth, and yell at my son. I immediately stepped in and told the staff member their behavior was completely unacceptable and inappropriate.I brought this to the attention of the director via email, as she wasn't on site at the time. Rather than investigating the situation or asking for clarification, she terminated our contract, stating my children were no longer welcome at the daycare. As if they would ever go back. I reported the incident to the state licensing authority, as what I witnessed constituted verbal, emotional, and physical abuse. The day after the state investigated, the director attempted to retaliate by claiming my daughter's behavior was "out of control" -- something that has never been said about her in years of attending other daycares without issue. It felt like a clear effort to discredit our family and shift blame. This daycare raises many red flags: -No website or transparent contact information -No platform to leave or read reviews -Staff members who are not properly trained or supervised If you're considering this daycare, I urge you to ask questions, demand transparency, and trust your gut. I share this not out of anger, but out of duty to protect other families. Please be cautious. Advocate for your children. Speak up when something doesn't feel right. This is the first change of daycare, teachers and entire setup for my DD. It is an amazing daycare in Williamsville, NY (suburb of Buffalo). The location for us was really convenient very very close to work site. It is also close to wegmans and an Indian grocery store. We used to shop after picking up our DD at wegmans or Indian grocery store nearby before we head to the Island (Grand Island, a peaceful & a beautiful small town within minutes of Niagara falls & Canada) Both her teachers were really caring and patient. Everyday at the end of the day she was all smiles and looked clean so we know she was very well taken care of. My DD never complained after her 1st day in this daycare. My son started the preschool in the summer for their summer program and there were no issues until Miss Tracey started in the fall. I then started receiving multiple phone calls of a sudden about his behavior, but the one that took the cake was that my son purposely "peed" on her, mind you, my son is still in the process of being potty trained. Miss Tracey who's "bright" took him off of the potty too early. Miss Tracey said that my son bit her and hit her, but ironically, no other staff member said this or seen this happen. I was told that things would get better when the lead teacher, Miss Meghan came came back, but they did not. Miss Mehgan was a good teacher, but she was not a helpful teacher. The preschool program depends on 1 sped certified teacher to look over 16+ kids, and when she's absent, a non certified teacher who's not sped certified substitutes, which is against the law. The company is too cheap to pay a sped certified substitute. The other teachers in the room are not certified to work with sped children. The staff turn over rate is high. I was told my son would be sent home with a calendar of the food he eats each day, which he wasn't. This place is a joke. I willingly took my son out because the program is not ran correctly or professionally. My son who has a speech delay cannot advocate for himself and with it being shown that the staff is not reliable, it was more safe for me to remove him. He would go to school happy and come home angry. He started doing odd things like smuggling his head into his pillow. If you have a child in pre k, who has ab IEP or speech delay, please place them else where and do not waste your time. You're better off putting your child into a childcare center until they're old enough for kindergarten because the preschool program is literally a childcare center covered by the word, "preschool" because they need the funding to stay open. If you look for your child to go else where they will literally spam your phone with phone calls so they will not lose funding. I know they say don't judge a book by it's cover, but please judge this place by it's cover.

They are very attentive to their needs and make sure that their safety is always put first. The director is unbelievably kind and is always very understanding and willing to be flexible. For example I forgot to add my child on schedule for the day and the director let them come to school no problem. The cook is very diligent with the way the food is prepared and the way the kitchen is cleaned everyday. The cook also has formed relationships with the children and they love and respect the cook. Even if someone is having a bad day, it will go unnoticed to the children. Whenever my child comes home they always tell me how much fun they had and are excited to go back. I would 100% recommend Care A Lot to anyone who is looking for a safe space for their children while they work.

So if you live in one of those you are in luck. The execution is where it falls down a little. Even if you put in your request by their "advance notice" deadlines, at times they cannot find a ride. Which is fine if they let you know a few days in advance, but sometimes they only did that a day in advance. That can lead to some scrambling, especially if you can't really take a taxi for whatever reason. So I love the idea. Just wish they had worked out some of the kinks by now.

We did not have these issues at home so I began asking questions and would get responses as "it's not the same at home" and frustration so as a new first time mom I started to think maybe I was being too picky. My mom picked him up one day and felt the same way that our little treasure was not himself. So I started to pay more attention. Well one day my husband came to pick my son up at a different than usual time and Liam at 9.5 months was sitting on the floor hysterical and inconsolable the teacher in the room said I don't know why he is like this, he's been like this for almost an hour. Well my husband grabbed his sheet off the counter and seen my son had not been given his bottle in almost 6 hours!!! Now Liam was on 6 ounces every 3 hours! How something like this could happen is beyond me. We immediately pulled him. He went to the doctor for his 9 month check up the following Monday and we learned he only gained 1 lb we spoke with the doctor about why we pulled him and asked about daycare changes and just different questions new parents have. Our pediatrician was concerned about the lack of weight gain and asked is it possible this happened more than just this one incident and that is why he is always upset when we leave because he is hungry. My husband and I started logging when we dropped supplies off in the beginning because it seemed like we were just supplying the entire center with wipes, well I said to my husband lets calculate how many bottle a container of formula makes and see if they had enough. We did the make and they were short 1.5 containers. So they didn't request the formula enough. Now I would not have done this math on a normal basis because I wouldn't find it would be necessary. Our pediatrician setup a follow up appointment for 30 days later to check Liam's weight now that he was not in their care to see if he was gaining appropriately again (I say again because his growth was normal before his stint at sweet angels)- well 30 days later he went in for his weigh after being in what I feel to be the most terrific daycare ever and our sweet little boy gained 2 lbs and was just a happy camper everyday!! His personality was how he was with us on the weekends daily now!! No inconsolable tantrums after daycare...and as far as the diaper soiling accidents the ceased as well! Liam I am proud to say since December has only went through the diaper 3xs at his new daycare!!! Nothing changed diet wise or diaper wise! Always used pampers. Now why would his growth chart be normal and drop for the duration he was at the center and then rebound immediately after changing to a different center. I didn't go public with it until my sister in law just recently removed her son from the infant room because I was worried they would retaliate again him. So I posted a review just like the post I am writing to you both. It was removed saying my review was not on the core product. It was definitely on the core product. They reported it to not look bad so I have been spreading the word now and the owner has called my husband not me and threatened a law suit and said has the money to do it, so why not invest in the center to improve the quality of the children's care!

The staff seemed very warm and welcoming to me and my son. The first day (like I expected) was very rough. He screamed and cried. But to my surprise, when I picked him up, HE WAS PLAYING WITH KIDS AND LAUGHING!! The second day he fussed at drop off and the third day he raced me to the door to get into school. What a difference Sweet Angels has made in our daily lives!! My son is happy to go o school each day, he has friends, the teachers all seem to really care about him and he always participates.
