They have 4 floors with a wide variety of stations and things to do for the kids. If we didn't have to worry about nap time, we could probably spend the whole day there. If you have a Bank of America card, this museum is part of their Museum on us program- IYKYK. I also like the cafeteria where you can purchase snacks or meals for the kids. I appreciate that they don't police you, if you just use the space to eat your own packed snacks, just clean up after yourself is all they request. There's just so much to do. I would say the only issue we ran into was finding parking, but that's to expected at that side of town. Overall, a must for kids.

And the floating docks actually have prime accessibility to the sheltered outer harbor or open lake at the mouth of the Buffalo River across from Canalside. And enjoying lots of ice cream with the other kids along the way. Each night's location was a fun surprise. The group cooking fostered a new interest - who knew? It sounded like the two young leaders were attentive and fun to be around while keeping the group on track. All in all, it was a positive experience with kids his own age - a memorable biking experience. It continues to be fun for me to overhear him reveal little tales of how he spent part of his summer vacation traveling on the road.

I've been coming to CDT on and off for almost 2 years. I had just graduated college and was looking…read moreto get back into ballet and tried a number of adult ballet classes around town. I grew up taking at American Academy of Ballet for about 8 years and looking back, I had a great classical ballet learning experience there. But as an adult, I was looking for something non-competitive yet with an intense edge to it. This is exactly what I found at CDT. I attend the Ultra Barre classes at the Williamsville location, which is a class that combines ballet techniques, Pilates, weights, cardio, abs and a little bit of yoga -what's great about CDT is that they offer an UB class every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and on Saturdays (no Saturday classes in the summer I believe), so if I work late one day and can't make it to class, I can pick right up at the next class. Once you've attended a handful of classes, you catch right on to the routines, which vary slightly depending on the instructor. CDT also offers an adult ballet class. There are three (perhaps four?) instructors -all of which are excellent! They make sure you are never left behind during the routines and take time to correct your posture or technique so that you get the most out of the workout as humanly possible -they're drill sergeants with smiles and words of encouragement. It makes for a phenomenal workout and that's what keeps people coming back for more! There are usually about a dozen students at each class, ranging in age from (and this is a complete guess) early 20's to 60's, though the majority I would classify as early to mid-20's. There are two studios at the Williamsville location (that I know of...since I did not grow up taking here, I'm only familiar with the Ultra Barre classes) and they have a cozy, yet very professional feel. The floors are relatively clean and the changing room smells as clean as it possibly could. Only one small *very insignificant* criticism is the waiting room -if you're planning on waiting for any length of time, bring a cushion. The chairs are uncomfortable and the lighting is a little too bright. Also, for parents dropping kids off, be prepared to pull a Bat Turn on S Long, as there is very little parking room. I've had to park in the DiCamillo Bakery parking lot in the past, since CDT shares it's building with another business and parking is very limited. Lastly, the prices at CDT are about average, as far as adult classes. You can buy a class card of 10 classes for $120. Depending on how often you plan on going, they recently started offering an unlimited monthly pass which would work great if you plan on going to at least two classes per week. So if you want a great work out and you have a little bit of ballet experience, this studio is the perfect place to pick up a few classes! You'll enjoy every minute of your experience.

On the website they state this "Storybook Dance program. A creative movement program that encourages children to explore their imaginations by incorporating children's literature, stretching exercises, rhymes and song, musical and spatial awareness in a fun and safe environment. The camp is designed to introduce children to the art of dance, develop self confidence and improve motor skills." One would assume that there would be some form of story book, in a storybook dance camp. No books were read. This was purely a dance class. With a little bit of craftS. The teacher was not friendly what so ever. And the student assistants looked as if they had been tortured to be there. Not qualified to deal with children were any of the people at this course. To say I give it a one star is being very generous. It was an absolute waste of money.

This is one of the most fun birthdays I have ever had and it is all thanks to Hatchets and Hops!…read more A group of us went out and it was so much fun. You get the instruction and the tips on how to throw the hatchet and then boom, you're off and running. (Not actually running, but you know what I mean.) The instructors are all great and really liven up the whole experience while also giving you tips along the way. This kind of activity really brings out the competition in people in the best way. Many of us had ever thrown hatchets before and those who had, aren't masters by any means. It was just a really enjoyable time to all try something new together. The drinks help too! Not with the throwing (I mean I don't think so) but with keeping the spirits high and having a good ol' time. The space itself is very big but with the cages for throwing, it can get a little tight with a lot of people. There is a bar there with some great beers on tap including the mystery beer which is always fun to try to guess. Food is limited to mostly pub grub but honestly, you're here to throw hatchets, not eat a ton. The pizza we had was good though so check that out. Overall, this is a really cool place to try out. And hey, if you like it, they even have weekly leagues here you can join and get better and continue the fun.
