I have been wanting to check this place out for years because I have a large project I need for my business but with the mixed reviews I decided to try a small project first to test the waters. Unfortunately the customer service was not great. I felt like a huge inconvenience and received zero direction or suggestions for the small piece I brought in and the stitching ended up being put in a not ideal place which I would have loved someone to walk through with me for better placement. I asked about my larger project and also received less than zero help with that and felt like I was so annoying for even asking about it. I'm sad because it's a small town shop -potentially family owned but the vibe was really really off and just not friendly. I will not be going back for my large order and will have to find another option. Not sure what's going on in this place but I hope they read the reviews and understand that people want a good experience with staff and that we want to have fun and get more help when doing personal projects. There's also a LOT of small businesses in town who could actually use a service like this but may not go due to the lack of customer service and reviews - so I do hope they can turn things around in the future. read more

Within one questions lays a multiple of answers in serious magnitude. "What could improve"? Well let's start with quality of work or should I state, lack of quality of work. The price was definitely a sharp tug on the short and curlys. Oh and not doing a better job to realize they printed two of the same numbers on two different softball shirt and ended up shorting us the number that we didn't get. Again, that would fall under "lack of quality". Over four hundred dollars for something a kid with an iron on patch kit could have done. So if anyone is reading this and you know a kid who is into arts and crafts, go to them before you go to this place. Unless of course you like shotty work and a kick in the twins downstairs for a price. Enjoy waisting your money at this dump. Make it Mine use to be the place I would recommend to friends and family. Due to my latest experiences, I will no longer do business with them. I had them sew a patch on a very expensive leather vest. It was clearly sewn on unevenly. Since it was sewn on leather , it couldn't be fixed. I attempted to give them another chance by having them do some embroidering for me. A man came from the back room of the store and acted like I was bothering him. There was no greeting no customer service. The owners of this business were always cordial and helpful. The people they have working for them need a lesson on customer service or their business is going to go down the tubes. They've lost my business. read more

I own a small gunsmithing company, and wanted polo shirts and beanies for my employees and sales people. The key was that it had to look professional, and the service had to be top notch. I consulted with Wayne and Barbara, then brought in my own polo shirts and beanies. They digitized my logo, and then did the custom embroidery on the items. Well, there turned out to be an issue with the thread color used for the polo shirts, which wasn't quite the right color. RIGHT AWAY, Barbara contacted me, and then ordered replacement polo shirts for me, and had them embroidered ASAP, all without charging me anything extra. Now THAT is great customer service. I picked up the items the following day, and they look VERY professional! I wish I could give them 10 stars!! I needed 8 custom logo tee shirts all different sizes in just 3 days. I truly thought it was impossible but Barbara and Terry said they would make it happen and sure enough they did! I was so excited with both the tee shirts (size 6 months to large mens). They had me pick the color, style and sizes and I sent a screen shot of what I had in mind and 3 days later it was ready for pick up. The price was so good too! HORRIBLE!!! I didn't even want to give 1 star, but had no choice. I've been coming to Make it Mine for as long as I can remember and I've NEVER had a problem. Brought a jersey in to put a name/number on the back. It was suppose to be done the following Thursday (1 week later). Today is Friday, 8 days later, and I never heard from them. Called them to check the status and the gal finds the jersey and says it's not ready. I can tell it wasn't even touched for the past 8 days. She tells me to come in after 3 today. Showed up after 3 and it was STILL not touched and was told to come back in 15-20 minutes. Really??!! Show back up and it's STILL not done. The employees were not apologetic at all. Which frustrated me even more. The manager did end up giving me a discount, but that's because I asked for one. Apparently, it's under different management then before. Beware before you leave anything. Ugh.. such a headache! UPDATE: the employee used 2 different L fonts in the name. I now have to go back to get it fixed. I've been a customer here for several years mainly because there are no other embroidery shops in Morgan Hill. Their work is often spotty and the customer service is poor at best. Also, be prepared to wait several weeks or more for the most basic jobs. I recently had a very expensive clothing item ruined because they embroidered it in the wrong location. I was given a partial refund but only after arguing with the clerk. I'm still out several hundred dollars. If you value your time and property, look elsewhere. read more

It was a simple job but still they needed a few days to do it so definitely call in advance to know how early you must bring it in! On 9/17/14, Logan Couture of the San Jose Sharks held a fundraiser for the Sierra LaMar Search Center at Britton Middle School. To thank him and to show our appreciation to the school district, we decided to have three plaques made. One was to be presented to Logan, the second plaque was to be presented to the Morgan Hill Unified School District Superintendent, Steve Betando and the 3rd to the Principal of Britton, Glenn Web. We contacted Barbara and Terry of Make It Mine three business days before the event and placed our order. The plaques were ready the morning of the event and were absolutely beautiful. When I picked up the plaques, Barbara and Terry would not accept payment for them. They said they would love to donate them to the cause and only asked for a photograph in return to hang in there wonderful facility. The media representative from the Sharks will provide a picture and soon it will be hung at Make It Mine in Morgan Hill. I had recently went here to get a jacket made for my birthday. The lady at the front was very rude and unwilling to help me. When I asked her questions, she acted like my question was ridiculous and couldn't answer it. She said if I would write down my email she would be able to give me a quote and they never sent me an email. I ended up going somewhere else where they had great customer service and super friendly. I'm pretty sure they thought I was the most annoying customer wanting embroidered beach towels but with embroidery I've has bad experiences in the past and I wanted it done right. I was in a jam when I asked MIM to fill my order. I was ready to concede that it would be impossible to get 13 team t-shirts in time for Ragnar Napa Valley 2015. MIM is a local business that I checked with and I am glad that I did. The owner was very clear that certain types of T-shirt designs take longer or are more difficult to make (black t-shirts with tiny white lettering, for example). However, I was flexible with the order and this enabled MIM to find a way to meet my deadline. The day after placing my order, someone from MIM personally contacted me and suggested a better design for the T-shirt (they attached a PDF picture of the idea). I was happy with that new design (it was way better). In the end, the T-shirts were perfect. The order was filled on time. The price I received was better than expected in such a short timeframe. I am very glad I chose MIM for making our team shirt. If I ever do this again I know that MIM needs at least 2 weeks, anything less is unreasonable. That said, I received excellent service from MIM and I will go there again if I ever need their services in the future. read more

I have been a loyal customer for 8 years. I have spent thousand of dollars for embroidery, t shirts, hats, customized usb's for both my businesses. I was initially attracted because they solicited through Le Tip. Terry who does the decals and t shirts makes numerous mistakes. Last year he printed all of my tank tops wrong and had a very poor attitude when I expected them to be corrected. He also did the decals on my vehicle he double charged me for and never finished the job for over a year of promises. The last straw was when he again printed my sweatshirts and t shirts incorrectly. He said he would correct it. After two weeks of not hearing from him I called and they said he was on vacation. I was very upset when I expressed that waiting for over 3 weeks for a correct product is unacceptable. I was left a message by Terri that they will no longer do my products because they are not making any money!!!! My experience was the longer your client, the worse you are treated. read more
