My experience with Make Me Up GA was as a bridesmaid for a friends wedding. My makeup and hair was both done by the same stylist. I was happy with how the makeup turned out, it was clean and natural as I requested. Nothing special, but I requested a natural look and I think it fit the ask. However, I was super disappointed with how my hair turned out. I provided the attached inspiration pic and requested my hair to be up with some curls in the front by my ears to soften the look. Throughout the time, the stylist had me turned away from the mirror so I could not see the look as she worked on it. I understand this is for the element of surprise, but it's rather ineffective when you're on a time crunch to get the bridal party done because it does not allow time for on the fly corrections. When she turned me around, she had a huge lump of hair down in the front (all of my face framing pieces) and they were curled into tight curls. She assured me they would loosen up and lump together, so I trusted the process and allowed her to take the next girl. After an hour or so, the amount of curls in the front were still bothering me, so I asked her to pin some of them back. She did so, and the look was better but not at all clean. My part was a messy zig zag rather than a straight line, and the back looked like a messy bun (see attached image). It generally looked super rushed and thrown together, there were lumps all over the top of my hair that had not been smoothed, and the pieces around my ears were messy and falling out of the bun. Several of the other girls in the party were also disappointed with their final looks. One of the girls who requested loose curls with her front pieces twisted and pinned in the back ended up with tight Shirley Temple curls and had to brush her hair out before the wedding to try to get it to calm down, and another bridesmaid had to take down and redo the twist in her half up half down look. Because the stylists did a poor job of coordinating the schedule with the photographer, some of the girls ended up taking pictures with either no hair or no makeup done, which was obviously unfair to those bridesmaids in particular and they ended up with very rushed looks after the fact. Overall, for the split cost of $205 per bridesmaid for hair and makeup, I would have much rather taken the time and done my own hair at least. This is my 3rd experience getting bridesmaid hair and makeup done, and probably my 7th time getting my hair and makeup professionally done, and was definitely the most disappointing experience. I share this experience in hopes that stylists accountability in adhering to client requests is reviewed. With a larger companies, I know this can be hard to manage. Thank you! read more

I got my makeup and hair done by them for prom and had mixed feelings. To start, the service was GREAT. The stylists were friendly and flexible and made you feel so comfortable. My hair turned out exactly how I wanted and I was so happy with it. My stylist really took her time to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. But, my other stylist, the makeup artist, left me disappointed. She was a great person but I felt like the makeup she did was not what I described and did not AT ALL compliment me. I'm very pale and even warned her that I don't like contour because it makes me look orange but she still did it. Especially with my hair up, you could see a huge difference between my face and the rest of my body. My eye makeup felt like barely anything. I didn't go for the fake lashes but I felt like the little amount of mascara she put on with heavy eyeliner made my eyes look tiny. I honestly felt so self conscious the whole night. It's not totally her fault since I should've spoken up but I really did not feel like the makeup looked good for me personally or reflected my style. I'd love to hire them again for hair but I'm very wary about makeup. I've seen great makeup results on their social media so I may give it another chance but with a different artist. read more

BRIDES BEWARE: Worst company ever! Do not hire Make Me Up GA - I had the worst experience ever and they tried to almost ruin my entire wedding day. They are unprofessional and completely disrespectful. The owner, Ariana, cancelled on me 2 weeks before my wedding and refused to find me a replacement when they apparently have a large team. I was so upset and she made herself the victim. Her reason for cancelling was because she had a "higher paying and better commitment that came up with Bravo". I had to hire a new hair and makeup stylist a week before my wedding because Make Me Up didn't offer a new team or even a trial. The worst part was that Make Me Up refused to refund me for them cancelling on me so I never got my money back. They do not try to accommodate your tight schedule for the day and made my wedding planning experience very stressful. They also make you sign a contract and submit payment before even telling you if they are available. I would not recommend them to anyone. There are plenty of other companies out there who will do a much better job and make you feel special - which Make Me Up GA did not. read more

Make Me Up paired me with Maria as the makeup artist. She did a wonderful job. We had the makeup trial at my house, and she was so personable and knowledgeable about makeup. I am not really a makeup guru myself, so she took the lead and gave me options for looks that would be perfect for my big day. I was very pleased with the outcome of the trial. The day of the wedding, she came on time ready to do everyone's makeup, and everyone truly enjoyed having her around. I hired my regular hair stylist to do my/my wedding party's hair, and Maria and her communicated very well to ensure there was no conflicting schedules. My wedding party all had different ideas of the makeup styles they wanted, and she had no problem customizing to their wants to make them feel 100% comfortable and happy with their looks. Maria absolutely hyped me up and made me feel beyond beautiful as a bride. And when I tell you that makeup stayed ALL NIGHT and even into the next day... definitely recommend Make Me Up to all brides (and specifically Maria)!! read more

Mother of the Groom had to go home and shower because she didn't like her makeup. None of the bridesmaid liked their makeup. I didn't get my face makeup done and still got charged 80. I think the young girl needs a bit more practice to make it more natural and not so caked on. I would get them to practice on you before the big day! They did our makeup in May 2021 so I'm sure they have practiced more and gotten better, I hope! read more

Make Me Up (MMU) was fantastic to work with for my wedding hair & makeup! Ariana's team is very personable and skilled. I had Christina do my hair & makeup and she did an amazing job! MMU also helped my family and 6 bridesmaids look flawless. Of note, my bridal party was a very diverse group and Ariana's team had the skill set to work with a wide range of skin and hair types with finesse. This was a crucial criteria for selecting a makeup/hair company and MMU exceeded my expectations with the end result. Jessica did an amazing job, working through different ideas and looks to find something I was comfortable with. When my hair person, from a different salon, had an emergency the night before our wedding, Mary stepped in and did a great job (on two hours notice!). They both did an amazing job with me and my bridesmaids, giving us wonderful looks that perfectly matched the tone of the wedding. We booked Make Me Up for our wedding in September of this year. Arianna and her team are so amazing! Arianna was great about communication from beginning to end. They do such beautiful work, both mine and my wedding party's hair and makeup both turned out beautiful! She allows for a trail run, which was awesome and really let me see what styles of hair and makeup I liked and didn't like. I LOVED having MakeMeUp be apart of our wedding day! They did an incredible job with everyone's makeup. My mom thought her under eyes looked a little dark after getting her makeup done, but they took the time to fix her makeup with no hesitation or rush until she was 100% satisfied. The owner, Adriana, is very professional, friendly, and easy to work with. Their pricing is reasonable, and they are very flexible in regards to changes as the wedding day approaches. I felt like I was constantly changing up who was getting what services, how many people were getting their makeup done, etc., but they were very easy to communicate with. We were able to schedule my makeup trial run for the day of my engagement pictures, and I'm SO glad we did! I personally had my makeup done by Mary, and she is the absolute sweetest. Maggie helped with our getting ready, as well, and she was great. I had my own personal hairdresser, but if I hadn't, I would have definitely trusted MakeMeUp with doing everyone's hair.
