Actually, I texted and they responded right away. Lucky for me, their newest stylist Emily was available at the date and time I needed. I arrived about ten minutes early. The salon is so stinkin cute, even from the outside. Plenty of parking on the side and the back of the salon. I was greeted as soon as I entered, and my stylist, Emily was ready and waiting for me. Although all the stylists wore masks, they did not require customers to. Since I was in a time crunch, I decided to wash my hair prior to the appointment and just had Emily do a dry style. I briefly explained to Emily what I wanted, loose curls with a little bounce and she gave me exactly that. My hair normally takes forever to curl, but we were done in under 45 minutes! The dry styling only cost $30 and I loved how my hair turned out. Would definitely come back!

Three different people fought over NOT wanting to take care of me, asking back and forth if someone else would take care of me in their own languages (plural) which I actually knew what they were saying because I'm fluent in both so it's even worse on them. I was appalled. Even if I didn't know, it's 100% unacceptable. I kept my head down and let it slide. Filled out my form and braced myself. I waited at least thirty minutes after my appointment time on a work day. Ok, I would have been completely fine with that (things happen! I'm VERY kind in my reviews, go check them!) if they weren't talking about me in front of my face like I said in languages I'm actually fluent in! Paid for a senior stylist who still brought in a junior stylist, which is fine too. That's why I'm here, for them to learn. But she complained and walked away and dismissed me the entire time. The senior stylist did a piss poor job of giving me what I asked for on top of the awful "wash" the trainee gave while giving attitude and almost crying the whole time? I get bad days, but what?! Like to the point she refused my tip and walked away. What?! I gave a 100% tip. Then the tip is cash only. My fault for not having cash, I'd never been so I didn't know, but Venmo was acceptable for the win! I Venmo'd the "senior" stylist who didn't understand Venmo at all and kept me around for another 15-20 mins! The whole time I kept asking if she got it, but she ignored me and finally said don't worry about it and actually let me leave. Someone got that money, I'd like to make sure it was you, even though I was completely unhappy! All in all, I will say I felt like they catered to their students whims and needs instead of actually teaching them how to succeed in their profession. I can't speak for anyone else, but all I can say is don't talk about your clients in front of them - you don't know if we know your language so don't assume we don't and belittle us to your entire staff because you're in a mood. I'm not planning on going back and treated like a child. Please do better for your students so they can come out with clients that love them.

The techs have always been pleasant but not overly talkative. Now let's talk about the actual job. My pedicures have always turned out ok, but my gel or sns sets, not good. Each time, I've had my nails chip or come off within a week and half or less. This shouldn't happen, especially with SNS nails. The manicures have also been lackluster with no hand massage and with pedicures, sometimes forgetting the foot massage. I will say that every time I've been, the owner, Karen, usually has a regular client that she's seeing and everyone loves her. Seems like she does a lot of specialty nails, so it's kind of crazy that her techs do such lackluster jobs on basic nails chip sets.

It doesn't matter which person works on you- they all do a great job, are attentive and courteous. The owner is friendly and makes sure the atmosphere of the place is peaceful for clients. I have had the manicure service as well, and it was excellent- but I only do regular classic polish (so can't comment on gels, etc). I had to go back to Ohio for a period of time and tried going to my old salon. While it was the best I had gone to there, it could not hold a candle to Top Nails! I realized what a special service they provide. No bored, half-hearted work there! Only caring, efficient, and excellent work. I've been meaning to write a review for awhile- sorry for the book size post, but they are just that good and I have been so happy to have found them. I am almost always a walk-in, but never had difficulty getting a seat and great service.

Jay and Mary were great…read more Recently, there's been changes, and the shop is now called Rio Nail Center with new employees, and the quality has gone down. Still nice but language barrier made it difficult my latest visit. I came in because my last SNS set broke off on one nail so this time I asked for an extra coat because it seems the layering is easily breakable. Didn't help. After 2 days I have a cracked nail and they don't do refunds or cover the cost to fix the ONE nail I'm requesting to be fixed. Didn't plan on returning after this last nail experience anyways because it took 2 hours for SNS removal and new set on my natural nail. There was a moment where language barrier made it difficult to communicate that my nails were not straight and needed more filing. I don't know if it's because acrylic was easier for them or the new employees have different skill sets, but I'm upset that I now have to find somewhere else and pay for a full SNS removal and set so soon after getting my nails done. Katherine is sweet but is who did this last set. I also recommended the place for my friend to get a mani/pedi. Pedi was good but mani chipped after two days because Laura only did 1 layer of gel. All nice enough people, but it's a waste of money if they won't fix problems. Be cautious going here. Looks great with the new changes but the actual nail quality is the worst I've ever had. Telling all my friends to avoid especially since my out of town friend didn't have a good experience either with the nail quality. Update: For me to have gotten my nails done 4:30-6:30 PM Thursday July 11th (SNS removal and SNS) then noticing on morning of Saturday July 13th a cracked and chipped nail then Sunday July 14th a 2nd cracked nail noticeably breaking due to gently washing dishes, these nails are not quality! I've been rougher on my hands when I was a teacher and SNS never chipped like this. And the website is inaccurate because they should've been open 12-5 PM today so I wasted more money trying to go up there and discuss this issue in person in case my phone call was unclear. DO NOT GO HERE FOR NAILS. Pedicures might be fine but nails are POORLY DONE. I want my money back but since that's not possible, I'll just keep telling everyone about avoiding this place.

They also have extremely limited choices of glitter polish (literally only a couple choices - - both were silver/white speckles). Their price board shows nail fix $4, but the guy charged me $5. And, luckily I had cash on me, because they charge a surcharge if you pay with a credit card (many nail shops do this, so I wasn't surprised, no big deal).

At my trial both the owner, Ariana, and the makeup artist who would be helping me and my bridesmaids, Christine, were present. They were both incredibly friendly and professional, and were also very open to my thoughts and requests. The day of my wedding Christine did my and three of my bridesmaids' makeup and everyone had an amazing experience. I really cannot express how amazing she was! I had previously selected A Divine Beauty to do my hair and makeup services after two trials with other vendors. I never wear makeup so I needed to shop around to see what I was comfortable with, and the trials I did before never did seem to be good for both hair and makeup with a single artist or company. I did one full hair and makeup trial and eyebrow waxing with Noelle and also a follow up to narrow the eye color choices for the big day. Allow me to also say Noelle did the best brow wax of my life, seriously. In the lead up to my wedding, Noelle did a great job of communicating and keeping in touch to answer questions, provide tips, get my look right and help reassure me that my look would be flawless. On my wedding day, it was pouring down rain and we had absolutely no cell signal to send the gate code to vendors coming in, but luckily Noelle followed the plan b directions we sent in case that issue happened. Noelle even battled a flooded bridge that almost left her car stranded on one side of the venue! We're talking a record-breaking flood! Despite the heavy rain, these ladies showed up on time and we were so excited to get started! Noelle worked her makeup magic carefully incorporating my wishes from our previous consultations. The makeup looked flawless and stayed on all night. The colors really went well with my overall look, and it just really came together. I loved looking at my wedding pictures because my skin looked so smooth, my blue eyes popped, and my lip color was lovely. Anna Claire pulled off the exact hairstyles we wanted, and worked with our different hair lengths, textures, and styles. She worked quickly and efficiently. First, even though I had 3 trials in total before and had narrowed things down pretty significantly, with all of the planning us girls never truly did settle on our day of hairstyles until Anna Claire got there. She quickly helped us narrow things down to decide what would look right despite a million things going on in the room. Also, I am VERY fussy about stray aways, and I will have a friggin meltdown if my hair starts to look like it is falling apart halfway through the event. Fortunately, I did not have that problem whatsoever and I am SO happy about that. I just feel undone if it gets like that, but my hair was tight and flawless the entire night even when it would normally start to look ragged after dancing, drinking, sweating, etc. I also could not be happier with how she made the flowers look in my hair - there weren't too many or too few, and they stayed in place all night. I got TONS of compliments on how well the makeup and hair turned out. I have to say that I really gave these ladies a tough time with very specific and fussy requests, and I was frequently not sure of how to explain what I was asking for, but they rose to the occasion! I wanted every detail to be perfect and exactly how I wanted it for my big day, and those wishes were honored.
