    Napoli dynamite
    Daniel C.

To preface, I'm more of a New York style, thin yet crunchy crust pizza kind of person. However, maker pizza makes an amazing Neapolitan pizza that deserves 5 stars. Service is pretty efficient and got the pizza nice and hot. Overall, the dough is thin and crispy but has a nice chew still - probably one of the best Neapolitan style pizza doughs I've had in Toronto. I like that they had the outer crust slightly risen for a cleaner experience yet the crust is still so delicious that it's easily finished. The So Mushroom pizza is topped to the brim with savory and earthy mushrooms, the garlic and basil stand out for the base pie flavor (this one is white base so no tomatoes) and the mascarpone is placed in strategic blobs to add a smooth, cheesy creaminess that contrasts the earthy mushrooms. The Napoli dynamite has amazing house made sausage that is meaty but not too salty. The green olives pack a bit of salt but adds a nice surprise with certain bites. I'm saying this even though I generally don't like olives. The pickled jalapeño adds some spice but because it's pickles, it's definitely toned down. I'd say if you like a little spice, don't be turned off because it says jalapeño, the spice level is definitely manageable! Price: It's definitely pricier than your typical chains like Pi Co or Blaze at around 20$ a small pizza but definitely worth it. Gather some friends and share a large (or two) and you'll definitely impress everyone there.

Lovely customer service and delicious pizza. Cookies were also surprisingly good. DR. PEPPERONI is a must try for a pizza lover.

Maker pizza is doing pizza the right way. Chewy and soft crust and the best toppings. Their dipping is what really sets them apart, the chili oil garlic sauce is so goated. Though because it is more expensive than most pizza shops I only get it once in a while. I wish they had casual indoor seating since it takes up to 25 minutes to wait for an order.

Yummy and cheesy garlic bread pizza! This thing was so flavorful and cheesy! The aroma and taste of the fresh garlic was strong (in a good way) and the cheese and dough were great quality. My only complaint is the sauce pairing. It was sweet (like a sweet salad dressing) and didn't seem to fit the flavor profile of the bread.

    Frank's Best Pizza

This is the best pizza I've had in Canada! I got a 16" Frank's Best pizza and let me tell you - this was almost too good to be true. As someone who prefers a red sauce base, I was surprised at how flavourful and saucy the pizza was. All of the toppings worked so well together and they did not skimp on the honey drizzle. The sauces were great and very necessary when it got to the crust, which I found to be pretty dense and hard to chew. (So realistically I'd give this place a 4.5/5) But other than that, I have no complaints about this pie!

Delicious pizza but damn is the price high. You're looking at spending about $60 for 2 12" pizzas with 2 sauces. The pizza is perfectly made NYC style. Thin and great crust. For someone who likes crust... This was heaven. The sauce was unreal. It's creamy garlic with chilli oil and when you mix it up you've got the best dip for your pizza. Definitely try tropic thunder and the Dr pepperoni. Yum. The first one is a bit soggy due to the onions and everything but still pretty good. This location is new and is just a place to order. No dine in, just pick up. You can call ahead - takes about 20-25min. Slow down when driving so you don't miss the entrance. They do have flags outside but keep a lookout!

love this place. fresh pie's that have the perfectly chewy crust. our favourite is 100% Frank's best, with the sesame coated crust and honey drizzle and just bubbling with cheese. The pepperoni one is also delicious along with the napoli dynamite. they get busy so make sure you order well in advance.

No seating and storefront is a bit makeshift. Can't order a single slice is also a con. The pizza is great however

What I really appreciated was the balance of toppings; there was just enough pepperoni without overwhelming the pizza.

The hype about the mafalde ai funghi is right on the dot, It's super truffle forward, and VERY creamy. My favorite thing about Gusto is nothing is overly salty. A big pet peeve of mine is when dishes are salty, because I truly like to taste the ingredients. The mafalde is one of the dishes where it's not heavily salted so the flavor of truffle and cream is really delicious! Gusto has become my repeat italian and will continue to be! Unless they remove the mafalde off the menu The only downside is that it's very loud at gusto because there are a lot of tables super close together. So i really only come here for a casual date rather than super special. Take that into account if you're planning something special!

The industrial style interior gives it that classic downtown Toronto vibe that feels both trendy and comfortable. I ordered pasta and pizza, and the pasta was probably my favorite part of the meal. You can really taste the freshness, and the sauce was rich without feeling too heavy. The pizza crust had that perfect slightly charred flavor that made it hard to stop eating. The service was also great. Everyone was friendly, the timing between dishes felt natural, and we never felt rushed. Their wine selection is another big plus if you just want to unwind after work or spend a long evening talking over dinner. What I liked most is that it still feels like a spot locals genuinely enjoy, not just another overly touristy restaurant. Definitely recommend making a reservation because it gets busy fast at night.

There is an upstairs balcony seating but I've never sat there. During warm weather, there is plenty of roadside outdoor seating too. This is my fourth time here but I never wrote a review fir the restaurant before. We ordered the following: 1. Shrimp Perno (daily special $6/shrimp). Jumbo Shrimp sautéed in garlic, white wine, tomatoes, scallions, and finished off with a shot of perno liquor. 2. Rack of Lamb (daily special $59.95). Four pieces of lamb in a rack, with a rich portion wine reduced sauce, that has a touch of mint to it, and Penne Pasta in a tomato rose sauce. The table bread was really good. The crust was crispy but the inside was fluffy. The soft butter that came it was so tasty. The bread was perfect for dipping in the sauce that came with the shrimp. We asked for a second basket of bread and they put two loafs in the second basket. It was too much so they were willing to let us take it home. The shrimps were definitely jumbo. It was so filling. Two pieces (per person) were good enough as an appetizer. The shrimps were perfectly cooked. We requested the lamb be cooked medium rare. It was definitely medium rare. It was juicy and did not have a gamey taste. It tastes great. The pasta was perfectly al dente. The tomato rose sauce was really good. They offered to grind parmesan cheese and pepper so we got both. There is free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. There is paid neighbourhood street parking and paid parking lots. Review 2025-187

It's a dining experience you don't see every day in Toronto. Even the washrooms are memorable, tucked away in the basement in what used to be old jail cells, which adds to the charm and gives the whole place a bit of personality. We went for an early Sunday dinner before a concert at Massey Hall. The restaurant got pretty busy as the evening went on, but it never felt chaotic. The atmosphere is lovely and lively, a great choice for a special night out or a pre-show meal. We started with Calamari alla Griglia with mixed greens, capers, onions, and fresh tomatoes. It was a fresh, bright appetizer with good balance. For mains, my date had the Spaghetti in Canna a Mare with clams, mussels, calamari, scallop, and tiger shrimp in a tomato sauce. The menu described it as mildly spicy, but it definitely had a noticeable kick. Still, the flavours were really good. I ordered the Ravioli al Brasato with braised beef, butter, sage, and parmigiano. It was tasty and comforting, though portion-wise I could have used a few more ravioli. I was still a bit hungry after and honestly double the size would have been perfect for me. For dessert we shared the Tiramisu with espresso-soaked savoiardi, mascarpone, and cocoa. I had an amaro while my date finished with zambuca. A sweet and satisfying way to wrap up the meal. The service was friendly, though drinks came out a bit slower than expected. Terroni's food is tasty, the setting is gorgeous, and it's easy to see why locals keep coming back. It's not cheap, but the quality and ambience make it worth trying, especially for dinner before a show or a relaxed date night in one of Toronto's most unique spaces.

There were four flights of stairs to get up to the first floor with the bar and main dining area. There was another two flights of stairs to get to the upper bar (which I was too tired to walk up to). The drinks at the bar were good and the staff were all great. We started with passed apps. Some of the flavour combinations were just off (the skewer with fruit, cheese and something else) - like they paired the wrong cheese with the fruit. The meal itself was a seat down meal (family style) which did take over two hours to complete for the amount of guests that were present (over 200 ppl). My favorite dish was the tomato and mozza salad. My most disappointed dish was the ragu pasta. Though containing a good amount of meat it was not saucy at all. The pizza was the brocolini was good as well. The reason I gave this restaurant three stars is strictly for the lack of elevator and the food quality vs the price. For what you are paying, there is so much higher quality food in the city and I honestly think you can get better bang for buck elsewhere.

The artichokes were mediocre (loved the sauce they came with). Worst of all was the "Ontario peaches" with the burrata were totally canned peaches - could've even been dole brand! The combination of the peach and mint went really well with the burrata. Light and easy to eat. The patio at night is one of the highlights.
