Should've written this ages ago but better late than never! Kirsten did my make-up for both my engagement pics & my wedding in 2010 & she did SUCH an AMAZING job. I'm not a make up person so she kinda talked me through it & prepped me so I'd know at first it would feel different but then I'd get used to it & (most importantly) the pics would turn out fabulously. She Was So Right. She had her friend Jamie (I think) do my hair for both engagement & wedding who also was AWESOME. I found Kirsten online for my wedding day makeup and I couldn't be happier. Kirsten is such a wonderful and talented makeup artist. I love her caring and down to earth personality. She went above and beyond as makeup artist. When she saw that I was stressed, she tried her best to ease up my mind by giving me massage and helped me find the solution. Love Love her personality. Besides her personality, her work is amazing. All my bridal party satisfied with their makeup and At first, I was a little nervous, because I normally don't wear any makeup and so I'm very picky when it comes to makeup. I want my makeup to last the whole day, and yet it has to be light feeling, natural, nothing too heavy, and cake looking. I have tried more than 5 different makeup artists, and none I was quite happy with. Don't get me wrong, they were all good, but after 3-4 hours later, my face started to get oily and cakey. But with Kirsten's airbrush makeup, I got my makeup done at 9am and it lasted me till 10pm without having touchup. Kirsten and her team were not only good but they were quick. Kirsten is insanely talented at her craft. I first met Kirsten by looking on Yelp to find a make-up artist who did airbrush make up and had positive reviews. My first appointment with Kirsten was for a wedding in San Diego. I went in to my appointment knowing what type of look I wanted to achieve and Kirsten not only gave me the look I wanted, but went above and beyond. Kirsten is kind, knowledgeable and strives for perfection in her work. As a client I can not ask for anything more. I have had my make-up done by Kirsten about 6 times now. One of my experiences was for an out of town wedding I was attending. The wedding was on a Saturday evening, I had Kirsten airbrush my make up the Friday before, caught a flight to the wedding that night and the following day at the Wedding, my make up was still perfection. I could not believe it. Kirsten makes her clients her absolute priority. There have been numerous times I frantically text her to make a last minute appointment and she always accommodates. I have recommended her services to my sister for her high school Prom, to friends for special events and birthdays and would recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing make up artist who gives you a flawless look while making you feel extremely comfortable. Your time with Kirsten will always be fun. It is like spending time with a girlfriend and leaving looking more glamorous than you could imagine. Kirsten did my bridal makeup as well as my 3 bridesmaids, mother, and mother-in-law. Everyone looked absolutely AMAZING!! We were actually ahead of schedule because Kirsten was so fast yet so on point! I have to admit, every time that I've had my makeup done as a bridesmaid in friends' weddings in the past by other makeup artists, I've always had to touch up something after they were done to feel good about my makeup. Not the case with Kirsten!! Everything was absolutely perfect! Just the right amount - not overly done up but enough to show up in photos. I felt so gorgeous and everyone looked like the best version of themselves. Kirsten definitely knows how to emphasize your best features. I liked that she encouraged me to find my own lipstick color (which she applied initially for me) so I could use it for touch ups after eating and throughout the night. Our hair was also perfection! Cristina (from Sweet Salon) did everyone's hair and just blew us away with her skill! My bridesmaids and mom came with photos of what they wanted and Cristina re-created the styles exactly as they were in the photos - and these weren't simple styles! I was so impressed with her ability to turn hair into artwork. Again, she was very quick yet focused and finished on time. One last note about the makeup - I didn't remove it before going to bed that night (I know, bad) but I kid you not, when I woke up my eye makeup looked exactly as it did when it was freshly applied. Talk about high quality products! If I ever need professional makeup and hair again, I will definitely hire both Kirsten and Cristina! Not only did the makeup look amazing, but she and Katie (the hair stylist) helped pull together and inspire our change of venue to our villa at La Valencia, which is where I was getting ready.
