At first my tattoo looked okay, but once I compared it to the stencil and original design, there were a lot of mistakes. The tire of the car is missing, the trunk lid details (Skyline name and model GTR) are missing, the motor type at the bottom was left out, the brake lights are crooked, the license plate looks wrong, and the whole bottom of the car looks blended together instead of properly sitting off the ground. There are even parts that don't look recognizable compared to the reference--the entire bottom right corner is completely unreadable. The line work is extremely poor, with multiple spots where lines start thin and end thick, and areas like the brake lights are completely out of shape and blend into other lines. My girlfriend's tattoo also came out poorly--hers was missing a significant amount of detail, parts of the drawing were left out completely, and it wasn't symmetrical or aligned properly. On top of that, the setup wasn't comfortable at all--only metal chairs for long sessions, which made the experience worse. For something as permanent as a tattoo, accuracy and detail should be the bare minimum. And if the artist is incapable of doing the work, they should speak up or suggest changes. Instead, the artist seemed 100% confident both before and after, which makes this even more frustrating. Unfortunately, both of our tattoos fell far short of what was promised and what the stencils showed and now I have to pay more to have our tattoos fixed. I would not recommend coming here unless you're absolutely confident your design is extremely simple--and even then, be hesitant. Both of our tattoos were based on simple stencils and straightforward images, and the artist still failed to execute them correctly. Marcia's reviews seemed great! Except that Nicole A with the glowing review is her daughter (whom Marcia tattooed at age 12), and others are friends of hers, as I found out later. When I arrived for my appointment, I noticed her space was very dark and cluttered, but she had good reviews, so I tried not to let that bother me. I showed her several pictures of the style eyeliner I wanted... very thin line on the bottom, medium line on top with well-defined, dainty wings with a sharp point at the edge. She kept showing me pictures of her daughter's eyeliner and kept telling me how beautiful her daughter is, and I told her several times it wasn't what I was looking for. She didn't want to draw on my eyelids what I wanted, but I let her do it because she was "experienced" and had such good reviews. I was DEVASTATED when she handed me the mirror to look when she was done. I had very thick, uneven lines on the bottoms, and a very thin line on the top with rounded blobs on my eyelids instead of well-defined wings. I asked for a VERY THIN line on the bottom and a medium line on top, showed her several pictures beforehand, and even reiterated what I wanted several times. At the first touch up, I showed her the issues and she assured me the touch-up would make it look much better. I told her not to accentuate the wings, I was hoping they'd fade away. She went over them again anyway, even made the blobs a little bigger and she told me she made them look better. I'm not sure if she doesn't listen, or thinks she knows what her clients want better than they do themselves. I absolutely hate looking in the mirror now. This was supposed to increase my self-esteem and give me more confidence in my looks, save me time on applying makeup, but the exact opposite is what happened. This is what I've got: The line on one upper eyelid starts out thicker on the inside, then abruptly stops and becomes paper-thin for the length of my lid. The other upper eyelid is smooth all the way across, but so thin, and I still have the horrible blobs on my eyelids instead of those elegant wings I wanted off to the side. The eyeliner on one lower eyelid is rounder and thicker and doesn't meet my lash line, and the other lower eyelid is more straight across, follows my lash line, and is much thinner. I look like I let my 72-year-old mother-in-law apply my eyeliner without her glasses on, with an old kohl eyeliner crayon, in the dark. Yes, it's that bad, and I have to look at myself like this every single day.

I specifically picked this place based on the stylist's Instagram portfolio (Catherine Keller), who had availability at 9am, so I booked with her two days before. The appointment was booked but needed to be confirmed and since I'm no stranger to online scheduling I'm sure all she had to do in those two days was hit a button to confirm or decline. The day of rolled around and at 8:30 I called, texted, and Instagram messaged Catherine since my appointment had not been confirmed. I didn't hear back so out of respect for her time, I drove 30 mins for my appointment. I walked in and there was music playing in the back and I could hear someone talking but the place was otherwise completely empty. I wasn't about to wander around since I honestly felt like I was intruding so I called, texted, and DMed again. I sent one last message around 9:30 saying that I was still here and that I'd be leaving soon unless I heard otherwise from her. At 9:35 I got an email that they had declined my 9:00 appointment. Screenshot included. Honestly I'm just super frustrated as I really needed this confidence boost and went out of my way (1 hour round trip) to be a respectful client only to be completely ignored. This is super unprofessional and I have never seen something like this since stylists/salons usually value their time and have strict policies to protect them. Jasmine the owner of Primped & Polished originally from Detroit & new here to Charlotte, has over 10 years in the game . She explained the process with me and explained to me about each step. The #1 question I was asked is did it hurt ? The part I was most nervous about was the outline part which felt pretty much like getting a tattoo but on your face . It was over with before I knew it . I will have to go back in 6 weeks for a touch up / refresh after that it's smooth sailing and it last for a year . Side note : Keep in mind I will go through an ugly stage which is pretty much the healing stage where it will scab over and peel off, causing it not to be as dark as well . I can't wait for the final look . As of now they are extremely dark which is to be expected up until they healing of peeling takes place . I'm loving my new brows, Jasmine did her thing.
