I was looking for a makeup artist who had done makeup on Filipino skin tones (warm olive/yellow tones) and her work caught my attention. What a relief it was to find Sharleen here! I came across her yelp page and immediately texted her to see if she was available for both my cousins weddings, and thank goodness she was! She did an amazing job with the trials, although I noticed there was a slight grayish-white cast on one of my cousins face when we took flash photos at night with an iPhone camera. UPDATE: Sharleen had reached out to me to apologize for the mix up about not contacting me back and explained that it was her fault and also that her website was under construction so that was why it wasn't working when I had checked. She sounded very sincere in her apology and also offered me a discount if I was willing to give her a chance to do my wedding makeup trial. I was hesitant but decided to give her a chance. I had her do my trial makeup for my engagement shoot and it turned out very beautifully. The makeup looked really good in the photos. In person there looked like there was more than in the pictures, but that's how it goes. In the pictures it was very natural looking and withheld the 103 degree temperature in Temecula. My skin is normally oily in my T-zone and I have acne scarring and breakout under stress or whenever there's a hormonal imbalance. I was sweating since our photo shoot was outside, but you couldn't tell! It just looked like my skin had a glow to it lol. Since the engagement photos turned out really nice I decided to book her for my wedding. I wanted my mom to get her makeup done because it was a special occasion. She doesn't know too much about makeup but is learning. She was hesitant to have someone do her makeup because she doesn't like cake face (who does?) all she kept saying was I don't want it to be cakey (like a million times). Sharleen was so nice to my mom and made her feel comfortable by asking her what products she normally likes to use and incorporated some of it with the final look. She also helped my mom with her hair. Sharleen is very friendly. Talking to her felt like she was part of our family and that we've known her for a long long time.
