When I got home and saw it in the light, I was horrified. My hair was uneven, chopped up, and I even had bald spots. I went back hoping they'd fix it, and another stylist did what they could, but I walked out with basically a G.I. Jane haircut. Here's the worst part -- Chris never apologized. He was "too embarrassed" to say sorry, but apparently not embarrassed enough to give me the finger. The salon didn't offer a refund or any kind of compensation, just said they wouldn't charge me for fixing the damage their stylist caused in the first place. Hair grows back, sure -- but respect and trust don't. This whole experience was completely unacceptable and unprofessional.

Today I have chemically burned, broken hair that is so dry that it looks and feels like HAY. If I don't immediately get to someone who knows how to treat this kind of damage, I will have NO hair within a few weeks, and I am not exaggerating in the slightest. It breaks if I touch it and there are pieces of broken hair all over my blouse as I write this, along with a lot of tears. Yesterday I went to Salon Evol and was exceptionally clear about what I was looking for. I asked if it was possible to get a body wave or perm so that I could end up with large, wide, bouncy curls, because my hair took a long time to blow out and was frizzy if I let it dry on its own. My schedule is getting busier and I needed something easier and faster. I said I hated "beach hair" and didn't want a messy look; I wanted defined, large curls and to be able to wash my hair and not style it but still have it look nice. Chrissy told me she could do that and that the only thing I might need to do is use a curling iron on some pieces around my face. Then she did the process. When she was finished, my hair resembled a messy FRENCH POODLE. It was skinny, wormy strands of incredibly messy hair and would have been a bad look even for the 80's. There were no real curls at all, just mess, and certainly nothing any person would say looked like a defined curl. I was in shock. I went home and tried to wash it out. Not possible. I ended up going back there today - because I apparently needed more proof that I couldn't trust this person. I feel like an idiot and all I can think of is "Fool me once, shame on you, Fool me twice, shame on me." Chrissy told me that my hair would be in great condition if she reversed the process. I let her do the reverse process. And now? My hair is so brittle that just running a brush through it is impossible. The brush fills up with broken, brittle balls of hair with even the lightest stroke. I will now have to find someone who actually knows what they're doing and can treat horribly chemically damaged hair. It will be YEARS before all this damaged hair grows out. I have never been to any hairdresser worse than this woman. I will be paying for years for my mistake and for her ignorance. All she had to do was tell me that what I wanted wasn't possible and I would have thanked her and left. Instead? She decided that she'd rather take my money and ruin my hair than have an empty chair until her next scheduled appointment. I'm an international performer and this will adversely affect my career. I don't want even my husband or close friends to see me like this. My reason for going to get a process in the first place was that my hair took too long to style. NOW?? I will be spending SO MUCH MORE time doing deep conditioning treatments, going to real professionals for their treatments, changing my whole routine and regimen for months and years to come. Why do women do things like this to other women? Is it jealousy? Ignorance? Just for fun? All I can say is NEVER go to Salon Evol and I hope this woman retires or has her license taken away. I'd hate to see someone go through what I am. In my situation they decided to terminate me in October 2025 for telling the director that they can't use windex as barbicide and we needed the supplies to properly satisfy our clients. That same director called the cops on students. Most students fresh out of high school all because they refused to make them money. But they weren't just being lazy they just wanted to be taught what was signed in the agreement to attend this school. Eventually she was fired and now they have yet to have a stable director and that was in January! I have been waiting for my transcripts and proper paperwork since October 2025. The administration does not know what they are doing. Just ask the students when there not in front of the staff because they do get reprimanded if they say anything bad. A little warning to anyone looking to attend it's worth the drive to empire and they are cheaper, better education! They also have an active open case through the state for the pint of complaints made about them. BE CAREFUL where you go for education and where your money goes!
