Back then I had very full eyebrows, but they quickly thinned out after waxing. Upon my first meeting with Angelica she put me on a regimen: massage castor oil in to my eyebrows twice a day, and by the time I saw her again a month later, it worked! My eyebrows were noticeably thicker. When she threaded my eyebrows, she didn't try to give them a shape they didn't naturally have. They were perfect! As for my Brazilian wax, also another big impression. Angelica gave me a lot of tips on how to care for the skin after the wax specific to African hair. This is the major difference between her and most aestheticians I've been to; most can successfully remove the hair, even pain free at times, but few could tell me how to prevent ingrown hairs, scarring, etc., things common to Black women. Not only did she offer sound advice but the wax was pain free and smooth. Bottom line: Angelica is as good as it gets! My husband and best friend, two people who have very thick eyebrows, even come to her and cannot stop raving about how great she is. Love, love love!

I thought about it for weeks too many. Then I met Lisa. She and I come from different walks of life, but she is genuinely one of the kindest, most caring individuals I've ever met. I didn't know what to expect when I walked in to her studio, but I quickly found out it would become my haven. For a first-timer like me, the idea of lash extensions was kind of overwhelming. So many different styles! Lengths! I had no idea what I wanted, and she was patient and walked me through the process every step of the way. We settled on a natural look with a little extra flair on the outside corners, and I couldn't have been happier. I can't believe what a difference they made! I've been back twice since my first visit and I can't say enough great things. I don't know that I'll ever go anywhere else. Lisa is just the best, both personally and in the work she does. I spent a lot of time (5 1/2hrs) and ALOT of money for these services. With in the 30min drive home lashes had fallen while i was driving, when I got home I noticed more and that I had visible loose lashes laying on my eye lid. I informed her immediately and she offered to replace/repair. With my pending schedule I informed her that I wouldn't be available for a while. We agreed on a date. By the next morning many many more had fallen off leaving obvious spaces and gaps. Informed her again of the situation. Keeping her abreast of the issues. By evening they were a disaster, just over 24hrs after having them applied. At this point I asked for a refund as I didn't feel confident of a reoccurrence. She refused and she also expressed some very colorful accusations against me. We have been in contact several times after the fact and yes I did again agree to allow her to redo them but upon further consideration of her very poor attitude towards my experience, and less than professional behavior after the fact, I again informed her that I was not confident that the same thing wouldn't happen again and requested a refund for the lash service only. She has refused, only will do a corrective service if there's an issue. Can't correct something that doesn't exist. Of course she blames me for not dropping everything in my schedule to have her fix the issue immediately. Even if I could have done as she wanted, the process would not have been a simple "fast fix" Refund still refused. Hopefully others have a more rewarding experience for the expense but my experience has been ugly and very discouraging. She also spoke poorly to me about another client who posted a bad review about her so I'm sure she will also do the same about me. Especially since I initially gave her a great review and have since deleted it.
