I thought about it for weeks too many. Then I met Lisa. She and I come from different walks of life, but she is genuinely one of the kindest, most caring individuals I've ever met. I didn't know what to expect when I walked in to her studio, but I quickly found out it would become my haven. For a first-timer like me, the idea of lash extensions was kind of overwhelming. So many different styles! Lengths! I had no idea what I wanted, and she was patient and walked me through the process every step of the way. We settled on a natural look with a little extra flair on the outside corners, and I couldn't have been happier. I can't believe what a difference they made! I've been back twice since my first visit and I can't say enough great things. I don't know that I'll ever go anywhere else. Lisa is just the best, both personally and in the work she does. My appointments with her have quickly become something I so look forward to. And if my review isn't enough to seal the deal for you, when I visited with my professional makeup artist friend shortly after getting my lashes done, his first comment to me was "YOUR LASHES!" When I told him they were extensions, he about fell out of his seat, swearing up and down he'd never seen them look so real. So yeah, she's pretty great. You won't regret the time or money you'll spend here. Worth every penny!

Owner would not honor my Clipp.com certificate for Chao Nail & Beauty for $100 towards any spa…read moreservice. I got a GEL X nail set (nail the was great and service was good.) But owner said the certificate is only good for a service that says the word SPA in front of it on their menu and must be used in one visit. HOWEVER the only service on menu that says the word SPA in front of it is Spa Pedicure which costs $65. Thus the $100 certificate that I bought was false advertising and is not able to be redeemed. DO NOT BUY THEIR GROUPONS OR CLIPP CERTIFICATES. They are a SCAM! NO way to redeem them for the $100. It should not say $100 Towards Any Spa Service when there is only one service that you can use the certificate on and it isn't even $100.

Danielle completed a very thorough evaluation and recognized that she needed to change up the pigment because of a medication I was on. I easily booked an appointment online with a Emalie, and their location was so easy to find on the main strip in Dormont. There's also a public parking lot nearby (make sure you pay-- there was a meter guy out checking plates!) The atmosphere is cool and relaxing, and Emalie greeted me by name as soon as I walked in. I immediately got to sit in a chair and get started on my manicure. They had COVID precautions implemented and there was only a total of 4 of us in the salon at once. The hour it took to get my nails done flew by-- I felt like I was sitting and chatting with a few girlfriends. Emalie was a perfectionist at what she did and she truly did a spectacular job! The salon was clean and didn't have a strong nail smell. I'm also not aware of any other salon that offers extra strength gel. Apparently this is supposed to last 3 weeks. Normal gel at other salons usually last 10 days for me. They really take the nail experience to the next level here. I will 110% be back!

Back then I had very full eyebrows, but they quickly thinned out after waxing. Upon my first meeting with Angelica she put me on a regimen: massage castor oil in to my eyebrows twice a day, and by the time I saw her again a month later, it worked! My eyebrows were noticeably thicker. When she threaded my eyebrows, she didn't try to give them a shape they didn't naturally have. They were perfect! As for my Brazilian wax, also another big impression. Angelica gave me a lot of tips on how to care for the skin after the wax specific to African hair. This is the major difference between her and most aestheticians I've been to; most can successfully remove the hair, even pain free at times, but few could tell me how to prevent ingrown hairs, scarring, etc., things common to Black women. Not only did she offer sound advice but the wax was pain free and smooth. Bottom line: Angelica is as good as it gets! My husband and best friend, two people who have very thick eyebrows, even come to her and cannot stop raving about how great she is. Love, love love!
