First time at this salon because my regular hairstylist was booked. Walked in and Esther was advisable and trimmed & layered my long hair. I like her cutting style, did exactly what in requested and she even straighten my hair. No shampoo or wash this visit $60 and I was on my way. 4/5 cuts 5/5 Bleach ! No complaints when she bleached and dyed my hair I've been here myself twice, brought my friend once. The front always looks the way I want, but the sides and the back never quite do. Is also always shorter than I ask for. When you point at a certain length, that will be maybe the longest strand of hair in the whole cut. But the overall length will be 1-2 inches shorter than pointed to. Her blending has also been pretty consistently choppy. I don't think she defines 'smooth' the way most people perceive it. I think to her smooth or even is 'straight' which makes it look choppy. When we told her if she could blend it more or that it wasn't even she disagreed with us. I'm attaching pictures of every time I've gone. I first heard about this place when I kept staring at this lady sitting near me at lunch because I loved her hair. Instead of her leaving thinking I'm some weird stalker, I went up to her to ask her where she got her hair cut and she told me about this salon. Fast forward a few years later, I finally made it out (an hour away), because my daughter wanted a nice haircut. Esther cut her hair. My 13-year-old liked it and that is all that mattered. Made an appointment for a Monday morning with Esther - it was my first time at the hair salon so I didn't know what to expect. She indicated that her colleagues take Mondays off. -Salon was clean and music ranged from upbeat to soothing, haha... -Esther listened attentively as I explained my desired cut: shoulder length, but with some layers. I also wanted bangs, but with a thicker (instead of wispy) feel. -I appreciated how she wasn't in a hurry to wash/dry/cut my hair. She seemed meticulous and thoughtful. -Esther suggested a perm (~$130? ~1.5hrs ) & color ($110? ~0.5hrs) but since I didn't have time I may consider it next time :) -Appreciate the service and paid $60 total. Esther was wonderful and super sweet! I made an appointment ahead of time and they took me in right away when I showed up. I didn't catch the other lady's name, but her and Esther did a great job together. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted to do with my hair but decided to get about 4 inches cut off and full highlights after talking to Esther more. I had a picture of the high light color I liked and they did a great job matching it! They foiled my hair together carefully, which saved a lot of time. Products that they used smelled amazing! I came here to get my hair colored, and was worried because 1. I have really thick hair. 2. I wanted to go really light, but didn't want my hair to get super fried. 3. I wanted an ashy color, which is hard to do with my Korean-thick hair. But I was very happy with my results!! She (Esther) used a Japanese hair coloring product, and it didn't take that long to get light. It didn't hurt my scalp either, which was something I was worried about! But it's been about a month with my colored hair, and it's still ashy and not brassy! I've received a lot of compliments on it, and couldn't be happier. She also did a cut afterwards, to take some weight off my hair. So now when I curl it, it doesn't take that long. I'm very happy- thus, the 5 stars. :) read more

I got a haircut and a perm. I liked how the stylist explained what she was doing while she was cutting my hair and asked me details about the haircut before she made any further steps. I wasnt planning to get a perm that day but ive thought about it for a while so when she suggested it i decided to try it. Dont regret it at all. Asked the stylist to trim my daughter's hair in the back but to keep it long, and to trim her bangs which are side-swept. The stylist cut off about four inches and didn't trim the bangs at all. She didn't wash her hair and gave her a "dry cut" instead, and then straightened it with a hot iron. My daughter, who has natural beachy waves which every stylist has admired in the past, left looking like Rachel from Friends. Today is my birthday and I always do the annual cut. I found this salon through Groupon and I called same day and got an appointment an hour after making an appointment. The Groupon says the deal for shoulder length, but I already knew my hair was way longer than shoulder length and very thick at that, so I was ok with the extra charge for it!
