I booked a keratin treatment through Groupon with Kathy . During the appointment, I noticed very little product was being applied to my hair, and I raised this concern at the time. I was reassured that it was intentional and would still give results. I followed all aftercare instructions exactly, including waiting the required days before washing and using the sulfate-free shampoo provided. After washing and styling, my hair looked almost unchanged -- frizz returned within a few hours and there was no noticeable improvement in smoothness or manageability. I contacted the stylist to discuss the issue, but the conversation was unprofessional/rude and the concern was not addressed. Though I don't know about other stylists in the salon I would definitely advise against Kathy. read more

I have never experienced such unprofessional and rude behavior. I found this salon through Groupon and texted Mimi as instructed. At first, she replied immediately, telling me not to buy the voucher yet but to come directly to the salon. I was fine with that, thinking she might need to see my hair first. But when I asked about scheduling, she said she was booked until next Thursday. After that, I politely followed up several times asking when she would be available, and she simply ignored me. Days later, she finally responded saying she doesn't take appointments at all and told me to just request a refund from Groupon. This is outrageous, especially since her Groupon ad is still up, complete with contact information and available times. The reviews on Groupon look suspiciously perfect, but I found similar complaints on Yelp describing the same scammy behavior--asking customers not to buy the Groupon first, then overcharging them at the salon. To make things worse, when I told her I would leave a review about how she ignores customers, she claimed I had "no right to post a review" because I hadn't actually received a service. That was the final insult. This is misleading advertising and a terrible customer experience. Groupon should remove this listing immediately. read more

Robert gave me a fantastic haircut! I reached out to him because of his great online reviews and I'm happy to spread the word about him. I've had iffy cuts that didn't bring out the best in my bouncy soft loopy graying ringlets. I have great hair but had to take a hatchet to it myself to try to get it to do the deed. He watched me walk into the salon, pondered, and said he really only needed to "connect the dots" in the various layers. He gave me a lovely shampoo, snip snipped, and the cut is amazing! i bought a groupon for allover highlights and treatment and number one the lady kathy was saying we weren't paying her enough to do the highlights even though it was in the groupon and then after the highlights are in the foil i looked at it and it didn't seem all over and more like the crown of my head. when she rinsed she "applied" the treatment on for 5 minutes but it wasn't a full 5 minutes and my hair was left dry. after instead of using a brush she used her fingers to unknot my hair and was basically pulling it out when my hair dried i noticed the ends were fried and coming out in clumps my hair was brassy and orange she did not tone the highlights also she did not go all the way to the roots so my hair already looks like it's growing out. Ariana is a Hair Genie! She color corrected my hair from brassy brown to blended greige with silver highlights in only two sessions.. The amount of experience she has is obvious when you see how she turned an awkward situation around so quickly... I wanted to do it in one session but she talked me out of it, saying it would kill my hair. I'm really glad I listened to her because my hair is softer and shinier than before she highlighted it. After the second highlight session, I came in a couple days later for toner, and that was the hat trick! Let me start by saying that the stylist name was Mimi she has a Groupon offer for a "haircut, FULL highlights & style" so I text her to see if she can do highlights on my dark hair cause I know a lot of stylist don't like to or say you can't & she tells me she doesn't know that she has to see my hair, to not purchase the Groupon just to be sure to purchase it once I get there. 1. She tells me she can do it but she's gonna charge me more to tone it & you would think when you're doing any type of blonde toning is included but guess not whatever so I tell her okay that's fine I'll just pay the difference from Groupon & she tells me "no don't buy it" & i was like why & she goes " you don't buy through Groupon you just pay me" & I was like ok mind you I was gonna be paying $68 due to a groupon discount & I tell her that she's just like it's okay I'll charge the same & I'm just like ok cool. 2. She proceeds to start on my hair & I notice she's only doing my roots & I asked her if she was gonna go all the way down that I wanted full highlights & she said she would blend it & I'm just like umm okay .. 3. she tells me she's running behind because she has another client coming in at 2:30 my appointment was at 1 why schedule another one so soon when you know that FULL Highlights, cut & style do not take an hour & thirty .. so she's rushing doing my hair, rushing through my cut literally just grabbing huge chunks at once & just cutting like so fast & so messy & doesn't even fully blow dry my hair & I told her I feel like it looks the same I don't see any blonde or layers & she's like oh that's just cause it's wet & I was just like okay.. & literally as soon as her next client walks in she tells me ok I'm done! My hair is literally still wet & not styles at this point I'm so upset at how my hair looks I didn't even bother to complain anymore. 4. I ask her how much it's gonna be & she says 120 no where near $68 & I was like that's not what I was gonna pay on Groupon & she goes but you didn't get the Groupon UM YOU TOLD ME NOT TO GET IT considering she was gonna honor the price but whatever she sees I'm not happy with my hair & just charges me $110.
