Then haulers showed up at the designated time and they got our crazy heavy treadmill out of a back bedroom and out the door. Next they got the junk from our backyard and before I knew it it was in their truck. Big thanks to Issac and Dylan! They even called back saying they forgot to take the shroud that went over the engine of the treadmill and if I left it on the curb they'd pick it up later today. I can't believe I waited so long to get rid of the accumulated debris around my house and old, unwanted furniture. I sent pictures, Pine State Junk and Removal responded quickly with a good bid, and I decided to go forward with them. Nate and Paul arrived on the early side of the 2 hour time frame and gave me a heads up call 10 minutes before. Nate and Paul were really friendly, professional, and got the job done quickly. As the piles were disappearing, I found a few more things I also wanted to go away. Fortunately for me, they also chucked them in the truck, bless them! Moved into our new place and we were drowning in boxes and paper, not to mention all the household items that we no longer wanted. The junk was shifted from one side of the garage to the other and then to the driveway and then I realized it was time to call someone. Messaged Jason through Yelp and he responded within an hour. His pricing was reasonable AND he offered to pick it up same day on a SUNDAY! Excellent. Jason kept me posted of his arrival time. Great service. Jason answered all my questions via Yelp messaging and we set up a pick up time for my old mattress and some tires. He called me 20-30 minutes prior to arrival and was on time (yay!). He and his crew were gracious when I found a few more items to dispose of and pricing was fair. Bonus: they were so sweet to my barking dogs (they love people, but couldn't figure out why these strange guys were taking stuff away). Wow!!! The customer service level Is running HIGH with this group. From the first call, where I was leaving a message and they called me back before is finished my message, to scheduling a hot tub dismantling and hauling less than 24 hours later, to the employees who came early, and worked until the job was done, friendly, helpful, too notch service. The best experience I've had in a usually exhausting process. This isn't your typical big box, corporate company that doesn't care. Most other companies I've used either damage a lot of property on the way out, or leave a lot of dirt behind, but not this one. This one has a very local, family-owned business feel (strange to say about a removal company right?). The key here is the customer service; they do it right. When I need them to do a job, it gets done in a timely fashion with no headaches whatsoever. I can rely on them to do it properly, they know what they are doing, and they handle everything with true professional care. Just call them up, Jason is very easy to work with, and they've been able to accommodate every request I've asked of them thus far. The pricing is very equitable considering the jobs, and I've never had an issue. In and out, quick and quiet. One more thing to touch on that impressed me has been the people who work there, they care about what they do. As I said above, Pine State Junk Removal is the only company I've dealt with that when they left I felt like the place was actually cleaned up. It sounds crazy, but it matters a lot that when they leave with whatever junk you have that the empty space is actually clean. It is a real relief. I called Thursday 07/16/2020 at 3:12 p.m. and left a message. Jason called me back the same day at 4:06 p.m. We made an appointment for them to come out and remove some items for Friday 07/17/2020 between 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. He asked me to text him my address on the number he called me on, I did so at 4:12 p.m. It is now Friday and it is 4:45 p.m. and not only has no one showed up but no one has called or texted me to let me know if something came up or they got to busy and need to reschedule our appointment for a different time and day maybe? No communication what so ever. It really makes me wonder how they got such good reviews. read more

Lightning fast response. Crew was right on time. I was concerned I was going to be late for work scheduling them for 7:00am and I ended up being early for work. Called on Tuesday for a Saturday pickup. Two guys arrived and picked up 2 bookcases, a desk/hutch, small file cabinet, broken mirror, and a bag of misc. All for 80.00! Love these guys! The owner also got back to me within an hour and gave me a quote. MUCH MUCH MUCH better than 1-800-got junk (they came and saw my stuff and quoted me 280,00!!). read more

I contacted Pine State Junk Removal after being referred by another junk removal company. I contacted them and was called back quickly. I was needing a bunch of yard debris removed after I removed a ton of blackberry bushes and dead stumps in the next few days for a big bbq party I was planning. I was contacted by phone by Jason and was asked to text him pictures. I was excited due to their use of technology and their amazing Yelp reviews! I sent him photos and he said it would not be a problem to come and remove the debris the next day at 9:00 am. The next day, I was ready and waiting for them to show....around 9:30 am after no one arrived and there was no communication, I text Jason who told me his guys had to make an early dump run but would be at the house soon. I had to go to work so I left. At about 6:30 pm, my wife informed me that no one had shown up. A few minutes later, Jason called and apologized and said things had come up and they would be more than happy to come out the next morning at 9:00 am. I agreed because I was needing the items to go. The next morning at about 8:00 am, I received a call from a different number that I didn't recognize. I called it back, luckily, and was informed that an employee ( I can't recall his name) was on his way to my North Portland address. I had previously text my SE HILLSBORO address to Jason so I had to explain to the employee where I lived. He said they would be late because they thought I lived in North Portland. At about 9:45 am, they finally showed up. They looked at my debris piles and told me they would have to make multiple trips because the truck was full from last night, which was not unsurprising at this point. The employee did tell me Jason told him to give me a really generous deal due to the snafu from the day prior, which was what saved this company from a 1 star review. Finally, after about 48 hours of pure stress and lack of communication, the yard debris were taken away. I was later called by Jason who interrogated me about my conversation with the employee regarding the discounted deal. He kept referring to the "proof" of the agreed upon deal that was via text. I explained to him that I was more than happy to pay and was expecting to pay to remove the items. I then reminded him that I was not the one who was over 24 hours late to an "agreed upon time via text". He then said that he guessed the customer was always right and agreed upon the discount. I will not be recommending this company to any of my friends or acquaintances and am a bit confused that I am the only one with a less than 5 star review. The only reason this company received any stars was due to Jason honoring what his employee had said. read more
