This was a horrible experience. I was sooo disappointed and frustrated to be treated so poorly by the owner. We were upcharged on nearly every line item and owner was RUDE and would not work with us at all. She threatened to remove our items from the truck and leave it on the sidewalk if we didn't pay her inflated amount. What should have been (and was estimated) at $350 was almost $600! Please never never never go near this company. Ronny and Ivy should look for another humane employer. We were given an estimate over the phone to remove a couch, bed. Some bags of clothing and a couple boxes. 350. Including elevator fee (which they doubled ) and gas. I acknowledged that it was just an estimate. We ended up selling the couch but added a few small items so figured it would about the same price. When he got everything on the truck, the price they charged us was over 600.00, almost double. When we complained, the driver called one of the owners. She was incredibly rude and tried to put it back on us, citing the fact that our mother had just passed and we are "just upset" I will never use this company again and will warn other against their scam tactics. * In response to the owners comments* Yelp does not give you a chance to respond when the owner of a company is defensive and responds with lies, which is what I expected Katie the owner to do in response to my review. It does in fact let you edit your original post . We did in fact try to work with her at the time to try and reach a reasonable compromise, however she was very angry and only kept spouting off that they have great reviews and we were just confused in the grief of loosing our mother( we were cleaning out her apartment) There are in fact many negative reviews where people have described exactly what we experienced. I can guarantee you that there are many, many more unhappy customers that just didnt leave a review. To set the record straight: Fact : The final estimate (After we sold several pieces of furniture that had been in the original quote ) she gave on the phone was for $350.00 and by the time they arrived, we had sold a couch as well, so it was just a bed and an assortment of bags and small boxes which I had also described. We threw in a couple pieces of durable medical equipment thinking it would be about the same price. NOT AMOST DOUBLE which is what she tried to charge us. Fact: We did not keep calling her to add items. The truth is, I called ONCE to tell her we had less items. Fact - She told me I was the only person to ever complain about her business. Reading the yelp reviews I can see MANY people have found her just as "rude and entitled" as I did. I wish that I would have read the reviews prior. Fact: We never refused to pay. We did express our frustration and try to work out a fair compromise with her at the time. She refused to come down at all except to come down on the elevator fee that the driver had invoiced as twice what we were quoted. This is a fabulous business! I had a basement with a large collection of things to get rid of and no idea how to go about it. A friend recommended Annie Haul. The women who came did an excellent job clearing my space. They were strong, polite, and very efficient. I accidentally left a box of my son's things, that meant a lot to him, in the mix, which they took. (My fault for not moving it out of the way). Next day I went down to sweep and saw that it was gone & immediately called the company. Kate called me & said she thought everything had been donated. However she said she'd call the women to ask if they could possibly locate the box... Well a while later she left me a message saying they found the box & she had dropped it off at my home!! One of the small improvements we've been making to our home was changing out the outdated, and frankly kind of terrifying, flickering fluorescent lighting in our garage. Unfortunately, that meant a number of 8ft long fluorescent tubes and some janky old ballasts. These are definitely hazardous materials that can't just go in the trash. They were also too long for either of our compact cars to haul to the appropriate facility. Luckily, Annie Haul was recommended as a service that could pick up hazmat items. Scheduling was just a phone call, the folks that came arrived on time, were professional and friendly, and most importantly, took that clutter out of the garage. We were warned that the price that was quoted was approximate, but even with the hazmat fee, it was right on target. Additionally, it was less than the last junk haulers we used when we moved. The only downside was they don't take credit card, but as long as you know that, it's easy to be prepared with cash or check. We will definitely use Annie Haul again next time our junk is too large for a Honda Fit. read more

Do not hire Annie Haul for this service. They arrived with two men. One of them had trouble making it up the stairs and complained about there not being an elevator. When that same man saw the furniture that needed to be hauled, he got upset and stormed back out of the building. After some time, he called me down stairs and told me they wouldn't be able to move my items. Even if they could, it would cost $1200. They knew I lived on the third floor of an apartment, knew all the items they had to haul, and gave me a quote of $375. He was extremely condisending and terribly rude. For the record, the other guy was fine and apologized for his coworkers behavior. A hauling company should know and be capable of hauling your items away. Don't waste your time or money with this company. I wanted to champion a woman-run hauling company, but they need to step it up. I scheduled this weeks ago. It's my last day at this apartment and I'm now stuck here with a pile of furniture. read more

Hooray for Annie Haul! We recently downsized from a three bedroom house into a two bedroom apartment. As the week leading up to the move wound down we realized that we had way more stuff than we had expected to either donate, recycle, or junk. I had them come and clean out a garage. All in all they did a good job but one thing bothered me and I thought I would share so that others can avoid the situation. I had an old bike in the garage that I intended to donate because it needed some work. The woman who runs the company was really excited about the vintage bike and it gave me a weird feeling like she intended to make money off of it. Nothing on their website indicated that they would resell items. I felt a little weird about it and said - "maybe I should keep this" at one point during the clean out. She then convinced me that it needed too much work and I should just let it go. I still think about it and wonder if she wanted it because she knew she could sell it. The clean out service was good but I wouldn't recommend to anyone simply because I don't want someone cleaning out my garage just to make additional money off the top of what I was already paying her. read more
