This is what they should describe when they say "a cute local coffee shop". Such a cool neighborhood spot. The staff were incredibly friendly even asking how my friend's kid was doing. The pumpkin muffin was vegan and so delicious, highly recommend! The coffee was equally delicious, I got a latte with oat milk. They seem to focus a lot of live local music because the coffee shop has a small stage and then half the building is like a music venue. I didn't explore that side too much but it looked pretty neat! Love of their cups are compostable, thank you keeping single use plastic to a minimum.

Went with my husband and two kids. We enjoyed a maple cinnamon latte, a lavender London fog, a lavender latte and a miel. (This is a dairy free coffee only establishment. We chose oat milk.) Everything was made to our liking. Very light and frothy and well balanced. The service was quick and they made sure that we were happy with our order. We were there late morning, and there were plenty of options of where to sit down. My teens got the harpsichord in the room was intriguing. We loved seeing a customer with a dog companion, enjoying the space as well. Lots of great community events happen here with music and yoga and more.

Great new place in Roseville. I'm usually a Mudslinger Drive Thru guy when I take my hounds to a dog park but sometimes the lines are too long. I saw this place on one of my drive-bys and ended up getting Joe from another place as I didn't realize what it was. Well next time going past Mudslingers, I opted for Showtime. What a great place! It's bright. Some music is played. Looks like an event center next door and a room in the back that's quite private with cozy little chair/desk things. I had a simple large dark roast with some oatmilk and ice. $3 and it was what I needed. I hope others find this place. Current hours are in a pic. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. Cool little historical building, part of the Roseville thread for many years repurposed to this.

Food 5/5: I got the grandmas house latte and an everything bagel with garlic and herb cream cheese. The latte was well blended and overall very smooth. The bagel was very flavor full and I really liked the flavor combo between the bagel and cream cheese. Service 5/5: overall the staff was efficient and friendly Ambiance 5/5: the vaulted ceilings yet cozy aesthetic makes this place very visually pleasing. Plenty of space and tables, but hard to find a table when busy. Overall I had a great experience and will be back! A great option for a local coffee and pastry/bagel breakfast.

The service was wonderful! Everyone was so nice! When my boyfriend tried his drink, it just didn't taste right (iced vanilla latte with 4 shots of espresso) They remade it and were very apologetic! The drinks: I got an iced grandmas house with oat milk! There is no up charge for oatmilk! My wallet and stomach appreciated that! The flavor was really good! Unfortunately even with the remake, there seemed to be something off about my boyfriend's drink... I asked for them to take the vanilla out, thinking maybe be it was the syrup. But it just wasn't good. We were also hoping to get the pizza that was there but they only had slices, not a full pie. It was disappointing. Overall this is a nice coffee shop

I liked how the egg salad and cucumbers balanced out the butteriness and crispiness of the croissant! It was a very filling lunch. I came with my sister and we both got different teas. She enjoyed her hojicha tea with a bit of syrup added. I really liked the Po cha / Tibetan tea which was a buttery milky tea. It definitely woke me up. :) I would recommend if you are someone who likes not too sweet, nutty, and not too bitter teas. We both enjoyed the Tibetan momos -- the meat filling ones are definitely soupier which was enjoyable. The veggie dumplings tasted better with more of the chili crisp oil. The mochi ice cream most likely used the ones from MyMochi packs but the cream was nice to have and it was a fun sweet treat! Definitely would come back with family or friends when visiting the cities again. Drinks we got at the front where we ordered but they brought food for us which was nice since we decided to stay in to eat lunch. Seems like it's a nice place to study and work and they have WiFi. The place is nicely decorated with Tibetan decor and plaques talking about the history/background which was cool. There is also better lighting / lamps along the walls if you're studying and need it.

I also loved the individual task lights above the smaller tables. It's a small detail, but it made the space feel really thoughtful. The only downside is that there isn't much natural light, so the cafe can feel a little dark, especially toward the back. The staff was the biggest disappointment. They weren't rude, but they came across as pretty standoffish, which made the experience feel less welcoming than the space itself. I ordered the light roast coffee and, unfortunately, it was pretty terrible. That said, the menu is huge with lots of different drinks and food options, so I'm sure there's something on it that would be a much better choice. I also didn't try any of the pastries, but they looked absolutely massive and definitely caught my attention. Overall, I really wanted to like this place more. The atmosphere is great and it seems like an excellent spot to work or relax for a while, but the coffee and less than welcoming service left me a little underwhelmed. I'd be willing to give it another shot and try something different from the menu.

I'm sorry Jason. You really had my hopes up when you were talking about Betty and Earl"s biscuits…read moreon your show but you've proven to me once again that unless you were raised in the South or by a Southern transplant you don't have a clue about baking soda biscuits. A good southern biscuit is hard to find in Minnesota. In my house they are served warm. and soft, usually fresh from the oven. A dab of butter melted inside sets them off perfectly. If a restaurant in Minnesota says it has Biscuits and Gravy I can't resist trying it only to be disappointed over and over again. That being said, KFC and Hardee's both have a good biscuits. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with frozen Pillsberry Grand Buttermilk Biscuits. Not the ones that come in a tube. So why would I go to a bakery in a mall that opens at 11 to get a biscuit? I trusted Jason. He sounded so sincere. Huh! Big mistake, I should have checked out his genealogy. The actual place is in the food court in the Rosedale Mall and the sign says, "Seeet and Savory by Diane" . The first warning was seeing the biscuits on a covered cake tray like you might stack doughnuts. These people are bakers after all not cooks. So, we wait for the lady at the counter to finish helping the person in front of us and then we asked for biscuits and gravy. The lady walks over to the sign and shows us the little sticker they added that says, "Weekend's Only". I was already wondering why anyone would start serving breakfast at 11. While we were trying to figure out if that applied to every item on the board or just the biscuits and gravy another customer got in front of us. We decided to ask for biscuit and egg sandwich's and a cup of coffee. Well, they only make one craft of coffee a day and when it's out it's out. If we wanted coffee we were told we need to go to the Brew and Waffle concession a few feet away. Alright no big deal, but over there no one's behind the counter and I am baffled as to what is going on. It doesn't seem to be self serve but there is a young lady sitting at the counter eating. Finally she gets up and acknowledges me by telling me she's on break but but since I'm there, she'll help me out anyway. She made it very clear that I was inconveniencing her. Well then, put up a closed sign or a "Back at 1pm" sign. Let's just skip on to describing the biscuit sandwich or more precisely the $10 (the sign said $8 I think) biscuit sandwich. The biscuits were big and thick and yellowish in color. I wondered if they added cornmeal to the flour. They had a gritty texture but not as gritty as cornbread. Ok, next time we'll try Betty and Earl's Minneapolis location. And Jason, spend a weekend south of the Mason-Dixon line and learn a little more about biscuits. Damn! I'm so sorry! I forgot to take pictures.

I've had two meals from Betty and Earl's and both are meals I would order again…read more While the plague perpetuates I am only getting curbside takeout, and their system for that works just fine. Ordering from the website is easy; you can opt for curbside delivery, and once your order goes through you get an email with instructions to call them when you arrive. There is a handy little parking circle by the main entrance to Potluck; that area gets plenty of traffic but your call with a friendly B&E's person will ensure that they find your car among the group. I got the biscuits with sausage gravy the first time and the pulled pork open-face biscuit thingie the second. Both were really good. The sausage gravy was a great, meaty brunch item, and the pulled pork was really delicious. Having piles of shredded BBQ pork on top of those thick, freshly-made biscuits was a unique experience. As long as you don't mind getting your fingers a little messy - and if you're eating pulled pork then honestly what do you expect - you just form a pile on one of the biscuits and hold it by the biscuit as you snack it down. There will be leftover meat that you can eat with a fork. I got yummy fresh cookies both times as well, and ended up full and satisfied. One issue I have with the website is that there isn't a description of the entrees, so you don't necessarily know what will come on them and there's no option to request, for instance, "hold the pickles". But that's about it; I really like the food I've gotten here and will keep it coming.

It was probably overly agitating for the cats and it made me wonder if they have sufficient hiding places to get away from pokey people. I don't know how common this is, but you do have to pay to access the cat room. I paid $3.50 for 15 minutes, and I think that was kind of a "happy hour" rate, which I thought was fine. I personally wouldn't want to spend more time than that in there unless it were quieter than that lunch rush, and maybe a bit less litter-stinky. But I did get their signature coffee drink, also called The Cafe Meow, and an average muffin. I really liked that coffee and would get it again for sure; the large was $6.75 which is cheaper than average these days. There is plenty of seating outside the cat room with lots of cute decor, and even some windows into that cat room so you can spot the cuties. You should absolutely consider coming here even if you aren't ponying up for the cat room.
