    Arroz Con Pollo (bone in)
    Marlo J.

Parking is around back. This is a beautiful little restaurant, tastefully decorated and incredibly clean. The staff is very friendly, accommodating & provided excellent service. We got the bone-in arroz con pollo, the sangria and the lemon sorbet. The arroz was fresh and flavorful. The sangria was some of the best I've ever had. And the lemon sorbet was yummy--a real treat! Side note: ask for the homemade potato chips! You will be glad you did! Highly recommend Malaga!

Finally had a chance to experience this amazing place after several people told me to try it and it was amazing ! I'll get straight to it , great food great atmosphere great service a must try if you love authentic Spanish cuisine Pros : great food great atmosphere great service Cons : the bathroom literally was the size of a closet , the servers are great but they overtly check on you a bit too much and one even took a plate I was still eating on

Main dishes were done very well and were the stars of the meal. We had a steak on hot plank and a whole fish special. The potatoes and yellow rice that accompanied each was okay. The sangria was really good, although we found the $21 charge for a glass of it and a glass of soda excessive. Receipt was hand written/totaled. Service was fine, one waiter recited all the specials, of which they were a few, we thought that was pretty talented, lol. And, all the other staff seemed to pitch in to manage each white-clothed table. We did have to wait at the front door for about 5 minutes before being acknowledged by a staffer, after he finished preparing a drink and then looked in on some other diners. The restaurant is nicely appointed: soothing yellow walls and calming artwork. It is set up in divided sections with the bar in between, and right off the front entrance. There is ample parking next to it and across the street. If going on a Sunday, try to make a reservation for the main area, the patrons seemed to be enjoying the entertainment over there.

Went for this little spot in Hamilton while in NJ. While it has the vibe, the meal was WAY off for us. I do not like my Paella with chicken bones littered in the meal/rice. Chicken should always be either breast or boneless in a good paella. Rice was a little soupy, or more than it should be. Kids chicken tender and fries should not be $20. The place is super overpriced. The dessert, lemon cello was good. Will not return.

Never disappoints! Angela and her entire team makes this restaurant like home. I ate the sole smothered with mussels, shrimp, and clams. Delicious! My favorite dessert, the lemon sorbet fabulous! We all enjoyed our meals. The salad was huge! I love the vibe because it was so many birthday celebrations and we sang along! My boyfriend and I had her first date there 28 years ago and we still love to go!

What a wonderful experience!! The service was absolutely amazing! What an awesome atmosphere. And the food was absolutely delicious!! Such a great menu with choices you may have never seen before. We will definitely be going back. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Service: excellent, some of the best I've ever had. Wait staff was attentive and ran down numerous speciality options. Everyone was super friendly. Environment: very clean. It's not a huge place. It has a small bar area and a dining room which houses about 20 tables. You definitely get the vibe of being in Spain. The artwork is beautiful. Prices: everything was priced appropriately and worth every penny. It's comparative with most other restaurants. Food: food was very tasty. From the stuffed salmon which I cider spinach and crabmeat, to the chicken and garlic sauce. Everything was perfectly seasoned and the portions were huge. The sangria we ordered was spot on. Tasted like AUTHENTIC sangria! Highly recommend to anyone!

Not a regular for Spanish/Portugal food. But the seafood here is actually quite well made here. Wouldn't say the paella is the best I've had but try the whole fish if you fancy something unique and new. They do have a rather extensive desert list, and the dessert are in good portion and look really delicious (according to my observation from other tables) but we are too full i the end to try any. I do really love the ambiance. A band performed happy birthday to a table and definitely makes out dinner so much happier

The parking was actually full when we arrived, possibly because of the bar using the same lot. But there is an elevated connected lot for the bowling alley that has plenty of parking. I have to say that the best thing about this place is the service: everyone was very friendly, and quick to attend us. Food was great, except maybe the flake fish (first course). Seemed more Spanish to me than Portuguese though. Portions were huge... actually had leftovers from a dish, which is the first for me from a tasting menu. The prices were reasonable In terms of why I'm giving this 4 star instead of 5: -we were seated at the "Chefs counter", but did not really have a view of the prep, which was really far away. Basically could just see the fireplace. The sister restaurant Heirloom is a much better chef's counter setup where you are seeing everything -Dishes seemed to be regular menu type dishes (just smaller portions), as opposed to super interesting types that you would expect from a tasting menu -Beverage pairing was okay... didn't really love the wines For these reasons, I'd likely return, but just stick to the regular menu/ experience.

I didn't know what to expect before going there, so I was pleasantly surprised by my experience. Cafe Liz offers excellent food in a charming, intimate setting and the service there was amazing. Our table ordered a variety of appetizers to share, including shrimps with garlic sauce, Portuguese sausage, clams casino, and fried calamari. Out of these, the Portuguese sausage made the biggest impression on me with its (literally) flaming hot presentation and flavor. Granted that I haven't been to a Portuguese restaurant before, this has set a shiny standard of what I will expect of the same dish at the other establishments. Interestingly, the sausage also paired well with the shrimps in garlic sauce. The other appetizers were just blah to me compared to these. What stole the show during the pre-entree course, though, was their bread. For something that was provided for free, each loaf was such a delightful treat with its crunchy golden exterior and warm, soft center. I wouldn't mind eating a dozen of them in one sitting since they were that good. As for the main dish, I opted for their Paelha Valenciana which came with a mix of seafood along with chicken, sausage, and pork. This dish was fantastic, but their clams were a bit overcooked since they were a little hard to chew. I still loved everything else about it though. For dessert, their flan was silky and delicious. I loved that it wasn't overly sweet, so it served as a great finale to an equally great meal. Service-wise, we had a world-class gentleman who provided us with great care throughout the dinner. He was always attentive in replacing our dinnerwares and refilling our water efficiently. Our food also came out pretty quickly after we ordered them. I'm thrilled to find this place and I'd love to try out their other dishes next time.

The atmosphere struck a nice balance between upscale and comfortable. One thing that really stood out was that one of the managers ended up waiting on our table. The service was attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely taken care of throughout the evening. We chose La Mesa de José, the chef's selection menu, and it gave us the chance to try a variety of dishes. The aged Manchego with truffled lavender honey was outstanding and easily one of my favorite bites of the night. The reason we picked Amada, though, was because my father would not stop talking about the Coca de Costillas (Short Rib Flatbread). After trying it, I understood why. The combination of short rib, horseradish, parmesan, and bacon was rich, flavorful, and worth the hype. My mother ordered the salmon as part of the tasting menu, and let me just say this: it was so good she wasn't sharing. The salmon itself was cooked beautifully. The only thing she wasn't crazy about was the sauce it was served with, but she still cleaned her plate. Another surprise favorite was the Bruselas (Brussels sprouts with green apple, pine nuts, and Valdeón fondue). Apparently, those were too good to share as well. My mother guarded that plate like it was family heirloom property. The standout entrée for me was the Paella Valenciana. The saffron bomba rice, chicken, chorizo, and mussels came together perfectly and felt like the centerpiece of the meal. The best part of the night wasn't just the food--it was spending time with my parents over a great meal. Amada delivered excellent service, memorable dishes, and an atmosphere that made the evening feel special. If you're looking for a place in Philadelphia for a family dinner, date night, or celebration, Amada is definitely worth a visit.

However I found it to be unsuitable to dining with a large group due to it being very loud and crowded. I'd recommend the tasting set if you want to be full when you leave without breaking the bank. --- I dined at Amada on Friday night with a party of 8. Typical of a Friday night in Philly, Amada was packed. It was incredibly loud, which meant you couldn't hear anyone past those seated directly next to you. Our server, Alexander, was excellent. Since the whole restaurant was fully seated, service was a little slow (2 hours for our meal-not tasting menu), but his attitude and friendliness were exceptional. The tapas (small bites) are meant to be shared, meaning it will come out at different times if you all order individually. The staff plated nuts separately so that we could still share while being mindful of our party's dietary restriction. We ordered numerous tapas try for the table: (1) chorizo Bilbao, (2) piquillos (crab-stuffed peppers), (3) tortilla española (Spanish omelette), (4) espãrragos blancos (asparagus), (5) pimientos de padrõn (shishito peppers), (6) setas (mushrooms), (7) torreznos (crispy pork belly), and (8) chicken skewers. Overall, everything came out smaller than we expected for the price. (Not too upset since it's a $$$/$$$$ restaurant.) The flavor of every dish was tasty, if not all a bit salty. The standouts for us were the: (2) piquillos, (3) tortilla española, and (8) chicken skewers. I really enjoyed the crab filling of the piquillos, the balance of flavors in the tortilla, and the juiciness of the chicken. In the end, we racked up quite a bill and were still hungry afterwards. Personally, Amada is out my price range, but everything was quite flavorful. For others, I would recommend dining at Amada with smaller parties (6 or less) to accommodate the loud ambiance. Amada is definitely better suited for a romantic date spot or small gathering. For better value, the tasting set may make more sense.

The bread was warm (as God intended) and the salad nicely done up, already with an Italian dressing. The olives were spicy and yummy! Ok - not ordered, but I wasn't going to argue! We ordered a seafood paella - holy moly! It was like a 14" in diameter deep dish when it came out! Tasty, lots of mussels, shrimps, scallops, even a bit of lobster..... wow.
