SPECIAL: Appetizer with Three lobster sliders

Not knowing the area very well and wanting to forego the fast food options we chanced upon this place. It appears that on most days , reservations are needed to get in here. That's a great sign because you know it'll be good. We were lucky as walk ins to get in. My best guess is because it was around 4:30 pm and two days after Christmas. George ( waiter) was friendly and thorough. My head was already spinning with the menu then George rattles off the specials. We decided on the lobster sliders and the 54 day aged Tomahawk for two. The sliders were amazing and the Tomahawk Steak was accompanied with a root beer , bourbon, bacon compound butter. The steak was so soft and the melted butter yumminess just took our culinary palates to a different level. The hubster chose the Kentucky butter cake (George didn't even hesitate when recommending this as his personal favorite) I usually have my own favorites, but I sometimes like to try things that I've never seen on any menu before. The pistachio lemon tiramisu was so light, airy and refreshing. You know how you sometimes pick something then you end up liking what the other person selected more? Not me. Not today. I stayed in my lane it was sooo good!

Stopped in for lunch with a party of four. Our lunch orders were delectable and reasonably priced. The only draw back was our less than enthusiastic waiter. He definitely did not want to be there. Three not four stars because of lackluster service.

Several of my clients raved about this local spot how good the steak is. The bone in ribeye was amazing & the chicken parm was immaculate. Every side we ordered was packed with flavor. The customer service was great as well, they were very knowledgeable and pleasant, will for sure be back. It was a very clean and cozy environment, giving a small and intimate dining experience!

If you're looking for a truly unforgettable meal, Toscano in Bordentown, NJ is the kind of place that sets the bar. I finally got to try it after hearing rave reviews, and let me tell you--it absolutely lived up to the hype. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but the flavors, the quality, and the whole experience are worth every penny. This isn't food you can recreate at home. The service was incredibly fast and attentive, without ever feeling rushed. Our server knew the menu inside and out and helped guide us to what ended up being one of the best meals I've had in a long time. Let's talk food. The root beer pork chop--I'm still thinking about it. This is no ordinary pork chop. It was so tender I could almost cut it with a fork, and somehow, it was juicier than any steak I've had. The flavor was out of this world--sweet, smoky, and savory in perfect harmony. Paired with a side of their French Onion Soup, heaven is right around the corner with this combo. If you go, do not skip this. That said, the steaks here are also incredible--some of the best you'll find within a 30-minute drive, easy. They come out sizzling on a 500-degree plate, perfectly seared and full of bold, beefy flavor from their in-house dry aging. And then... the butter cake. I honestly think it might be the best dessert I've ever had. It comes out warm, with a creamy, cinnamon-kissed richness that's so intense, it's almost too decadent to eat alone. (But that didn't stop me from trying.) Because Toscano is that good, it gets busy--so definitely make a reservation if you're planning ahead. If not, the bar area is a great backup for a more casual visit, and the food is just as amazing. Bottom line: Toscano is worth the trip, the price, and the planning. It's that kind of special-occasion place that delivers every single time.

Dinner at Toscano was delish! Toscano is a quaint resturant and was decorated so cute for the holiday season! The staff were so lovely! Our waiter was so helpful and accommodating when navigating through the menu. The mood in the restaurant is definitely a more elevated feel with dim lighting and white tablecloths. This resturant is perfect for a holiday dinner with family, date night or even an event to take clients for work! I came with my fiancé and parents and we all really enjoyed! This Italian steakhouse had such delicious and unique appetizers like their Italian Eggrolls and Bacon Dusted Calamari. The eggrolls were stuffed with broccoli rabe, sausage, and provolone over a white bean bruschetta. I was OBSESSED with these eggrolls. I honestly could've had a few! The appetizer came with 4 so everyone was able to have one. The calamari was also tasty with a sweet and sour sauce pesto aioli over top! I liked the sauce but it was a bit smokey. Overall really enjoyed the appetizers! For our entrees we ordered the spicy vodka chicken parm over their homemade cavatelli pasta, Root beer Glazed French cut Pork chop, the house made cavatelli and chicken francese with mashed potatoes and asparagus. My favorites were the chicken francaise and the house made cavatelli! Their homemade pasta is so delish and I loved all the sauces the dishes were in! All the desserts looked phenomenal but I was way too full by the end of this meal to have any! Definitely would recommend this spot, you will certainly not be disappointed!

Toscano's in Bordentown continues to be a standout dining experience, delivering excellence with every visit. We are there at least once a month. Last night was no exception. we ordered their tomahawk steak for two, cooked to a perfect medium rare. The steak was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor--the dry-aged process added a rich depth that truly set it apart. Although my favorite is still the 45 days porterhouse. I guess old habit is hard to break. For appetizers, we started with the truffle ravioli as usual, which was decadently creamy with a robust truffle essence that lingered in a good way. Each bite was a rich, flavorful treat. The lobster pot pie was equally impressive, first time having this, didn't know what to expect, we were glad we got it. The pot pie offered a buttery, flaky crust that gave way to a luscious filling of tender lobster and a perfectly seasoned sauce, almost like a bisque but not as rich. Honestly, you could've have that as your dinner. But good dish to share as app. Toscano's never disappoints, consistently delivering both exceptional food and warm, attentive service. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just enjoying a great meal, this is a place that always exceeds expectations. Highly recommend! Go now.

The food here is very good. My husband actually quietly proposed to me here during dinner one night. The roasted bone marrow with crostini was delicious. I am not sure if it's always on the menu, but if you can catch it when it's on special, it is phenomenal. I am knocking a star off because that night they served my steak with lobster sauce without any indication on the menu. I am allergic to lobster, thankfully not severely. We informed the server and they remade the dish. We have been back a couple times since, mainly for lunch and the food has been very good.

FANTASTIC Dinner and Experience. This place has been on our bucket list for a while now, friends had recommended it, we had eaten at other places around it; we finally had the perfect night to get away from the kids on our 8th Anniversary. I'm so glad we did. Cozy, dim lit, and intimate, it has the upscale feel, with the small town vibe. Awesome bar area backed up by two-tier seating on the way to the kitchen. In the kitchen, the chef and staff are cooking up some amazing dishes and specials. It was very hard to decide because all the options sounded great! (Who am I kidding I knew I was getting a steak, it's a STEAKhouse!) For apps we went with the specials: Squash Blossoms with I believe a romesco (red pepper) sauce, and they were delicious! We also did the Tuna app special :crispy rice cake, tuna (rare), Avocado, Wasabi, tobiko...Amazing...my wife ate 1.5 and she doesn't like tuna, it was that good. Dinner was my dry aged ribeye cooked rare+ (I left it to the chef to do their magic) it was like butter, barely had to chew it, so flavorful. They bring it out on a searing plate with garlic, butter, and rosemary, baste it, and let it rest table side before serving it. I was salivating in anticipation. Unfortunately my picture came out blurry but there are others in yelp for reference. My wife (not a steak person) got the crab pappardelle with asparagus and spinach in I believe a white wine sauce. It was really good, she loved it, but I came for steak. She even tried my steak and said "wow, that's really good." Dessert we opted for flourless chocolate cake with berries and peanut butter ice cream. Probably our toughest decision of the night, lol. It was good, but I really want to get tiramisu next time, all the desserts looked great. Drinks were on point- pomegranate margarita and dirty gin martini. Great spot to celebrate an occasion or just get a really nice upscale dinner. Check them out.

I came here for the first and last time tonight. Even a place that consistently does well still needs to continue good customer service and Toscano fully failed to meet that tonight. The food was good and I enjoyed my center cut filet, however the after experience was rather unpleasant. I ordered some meals to go for family members at home, one meal specifically being the 28 day boneless strip which I both spoke out and pointed on the menu. However, once arriving home my brother, who frequents this restaurant quite often, immediately said that they sent home the wrong steak. Instead, they sent home the 28 day Kansas City bone in sirloin, a totally different steak. He was very upset because that isn't what he ordered. I called the restaurant and asked to speak with the manager who instantly made the situation worse. He was unkind, rude and not once did he apologize. He first said "we don't have a boneless 28 day strip" to which I said it's right here on your menu. He then stated that "the only difference between those two steaks is the bone" which is again incorrect as one is a sirloin and one is a strip steak. How a manager of a restaurant who specializes in steaks that are aged in-house doesn't know the difference between those two steaks nor knows the menu of the restaurant is beyond me. Again, no apology was given at any moment. He instead said to me, "the one steak you got is more money anyway." to which I once again had to correct him in that they are both $62. He then stated, "so they're both the same price then what is the problem" and I was shocked that I actually had to tell him that the price doesn't matter it's that he got a steak he didn't order. If he wanted the other steak he would've ordered it. He verbatim said to me, "well I don't know what you want me to do." And I said well I'm not sure but the person I specially ordered this for isn't happy because he looked forward to this steak all night. He finally said he would make the right one and my brother can come give the other one back and pick the new one up. Either that or if I came in again I would get a free dessert, but it was clear as day he was brushing me off to get me off the phone since he knew full well I'd never come back. Again, the issue here wasn't just the incorrect steak given but the way I was treated by the manager (I believe he said his name was John if I'm not mistaken.) My brother picked the steak up, gave the other one back which they took and I assume threw in the garbage to be wasted, and not one apology was said to my brother. The manager didn't even come over to him. No one even attempted to make us feel better for the trouble we went through and the 40+ minute round trip drive to come back for the correct steak. What a disgrace. My brother has purchased over 30 steaks from this restaurant over the past several years and it was his special go to spot for a good steak. However, they lost him as a customer and my entire family. I'll continue going to The Capital Grill and Caffe Aldo Lamberti for good food and steaks. Remember, a successful business will never stop treating customers with kindness just because they think they have enough business to lose a few and still succeed. What a terrible experience.

Excellent service and food. Both tomahawk and porterhouse are cooked perfectly to the temperature we requested. Great tenderness and juicy steaks . The mashed potatoes that came with the steaks are super tasty! I Highly recommend this place:)

Just ok- service was good, but the food was just ok. We got burrata as an appetizer and it really came with so much tomato and the tiniest ball of burrata, it felt very much not worth it. The filet mignon came with burgundy wine Demi glace sauce on top that just overpowered the taste of the meat so much that I really didn't enjoy it at all. The 35 day aged rib eye was good but with how much everything else just was subpar, I probably wouldn't go back.

The restaurant is BYOB so we took a short walk down to Boyd's pharmacy to get some wine and beer. Bordentown parking is challenging, so be prepared to leave extra time for finding a spot. Our meal started with fresh baked sesame semolina bread that melted in your mouth. I ordered the spaghetti carbonara and my wife ordered the pasta with crab. Both dishes were amazing and portions were large (we both took some home). The service is professional and the staff is knowledgeable about the menu. They did have a lot of specials in addition to the menu. The atmosphere is quaint and somewhat elegant. In the nice weather you can even sit outside.

Pros: I genuinely can't think of a single favorable aspect of our dining experience…read more Cons: Everything--from the service, to the table spacing, to the food quality--was an issue. The ambiance and layout were problematic throughout the meal. The table spacing was already uncomfortably tight from the start, and toward the end of our visit, a party of 10 was seated in a way that completely blocked off the front left side of the already small dining area. This left only a narrow path on the right side for entry and exit. Given how confined the space became, it raised legitimate concerns about safety and whether the layout could pose an issue in the event of an emergency. After waiting 40 minutes for the complimentary bread, I finally had to speak up and ask for it to be brought to our table. Given that there were several open tables both inside and outside, we couldn't understand why there was such a tremendous delay with such a simple task. For an additional "starter" my dining partner ordered the Caesar salad which was completely drenched in dressing. While we were initially excited about the homemade pasta entrees, we were extremely disappointed once out they arrived. I understand that homemade pasta is typically served al dente, but neither dish was cooked properly. I had to cut my pasta with a knife because a fork simply wasn't enough, and my dining partner couldn't cut several pieces of his pasta at all--some were still noticeably crunchy. I was especially surprised, as I've dined here before and don't recall these kinds of issues--perhaps there has been a change in the kitchen. Unfortunately, we weren't able to address any of this during the meal because our waitress, Marti, never checked on us from the time she delivered our entrees (about an hour after we were seated). Not once, not even upon delivering the check did she ask us how our meals were! Before leaving, I chose to address the server, Marti, directly and share our experience. I expressed my disappointment with both the service and the food, but her response made an already bad experience significantly worse. Every comment was met with a large, clearly insincere smile and a dismissive "I'm sorry to hear that," with no effort to actually resolve anything. A good server would show genuine remorse, offer to involve a manager, or at the very least attempt to make things right--whether by addressing the issue or offering to comp part of the meal. None of that happened. There was no accountability, no urgency, and no real acknowledgment of the situation--just a phony, rehearsed response that felt completely disrespectful. To make matters worse, shortly after we left, my dining partner became ill, experiencing both diarrhea and nausea, along with severe stomach pain that has now lasted over 14 hours and is still ongoing. If I could give this experience a 0 out of 5, I would.

While I do enjoy Marcello's there are a few things that hold this back from being a 4 or 5 start restaurant in my opinion. The first thing is the price. It's very pricy. The drinks are expensive but the food is really expensive. A "pizette" which is a flatbread is very costly for what you get in my opinion. But with that said, they are really good. Same with their sandwiches and pastas. Expensive but generally good. Wit that said, I have found their food hit or miss. Sometimes it's really on and it's phenomenal. Other times it's average. So a bit inconsistent. The service is just okay. I have found the bartenders a bit aloof. But they do make mighty good drinks. My favorite thing is the sausage egg rolls. Highly recommend them. The pizza is also quite good. I will keep coming here but wish it was a little more reasonably priced.
