Delicious Food & Understand Service. The scallops was one of Best I ever try in NJ Restaurant!

    Cheesesteak (very good)

It took me too long to try this place. I had thought it to be very similar to scores of other Italian restaurants in the surrounding area. And to some degree it is. But even on this first visit I can see how it surpasses many of them. I decided to bring my uncle for an extra opinion. The specials looked good but I was in the mood for something more lunch like. I went for the cheesesteak. My uncle selected fettuccine alf and we shared the chopped antipasto. This was a decent and huge salad, but unfortunately also contained chopped olives which I asked to be omitted, it probably wasn't possible. Arriving at the same time was a nice garlic cheese bread, nothing earth shattering but above the standard bread and butter for sure. I enjoyed my steak sandwich very much. This is not Philly style, large chunks of perfectly tender filet along with mush onions and peps all of which had some time on the grill. The fries and coleslaw were good too, coming in at 10 bucks I thought it a bargain. My uncle liked his pasta very much, even enough to say it was as good as his fav place. This was a lunch portion and even for me would have been 2 meals. The service was very good and our waiter had extensive knowledge of the menu. Even though the strip mall seems an odd place for a very good place, they created a nice ambiance inside. Im already planning a return trip for dinner. Oh yeah, BYOB!

Linguine with meatball at 12 o'clock Chicken parm top right Eggplant parm bottom right

Ordered takeout Based on reviews we ordered the following meals. Eggplant parmigiano Rating 2 stars Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken Rating 1 star Lettuce wedge. Rating 4 stars Linguine with meatballs Rating 3 stars Pollo parmigiano Rating 2 stars The chicken and eggplant parmigianos were salty and bland. We added spices ourselves to the dishes. The lettuce wedge and bleu cheese crumbles with bacon tasted good. The side salads contained a lot of brown lettuce pieces. Sides of potato and veg mixed in with entrees The eggplant parm portion was very small. Prices high for quality and portions. We were happy to try this restaurant. We came away disappointed.

Stuffed lobster with crab, mashed potatoes and asparagus.

The vibe is old school and cozy and was beautifully decorated for the season. We started at the bar with vodka martinis that were made perfectly by the friendly bartenders and generously filled as well. We asked if we could move to a table for dinner and they accommodated us immediately telling us to take our time at the bar and showed us the table they reserved for us when we were ready to sit. Once we sat down our server, Tony, came over immediately and introduced himself. He told us about the restaurant and also about the nightly specials. We decided on the clams casino appetizer. While we were waiting he brought us fresh baked Italian bread and homemade butter. It was delicious and when we were down to the last piece a new loaf was put down without even asking. The clams and lemon wine butter sauce were delicious. Salads came soon after in a light vinegarette with fresh sliced cheese. The entrees we ordered were the Roebling Veal Chop milanese style and the seafood pasta. Both were delicious and the chop was giant! For desert we shared "A little of everything" which consisted of a tartufo, a tiramiso, and a canoli. They gave us 2 complementary limoncellos to have with desert. The owner stopped by to see how everything was and kicked up a conversation about the restaurant and how it owned it for 39 years. It started in Chambersburg, a once vibrant little Italy in Trenton that no longer exists. Throughout the night we were treated like VIPs and truly like family. This date night at Marsilio's kitchen was more than a meal. It was a dining experience and we will certainly be back soon.

It wasn't showing up on my account. I called the restaurant and they were able to find and confirm. I don't know if it's an Open Table glitch. They were so accommodating upon arrival when our party went from 9 people to 7. The staff was amazing and on top of everything. We ordered apps off the dining room menu but they let us order large pizzas instead of the 12" ones. We had calamari and bacon wrapped shrimp. I love that they offer the calamari in both fried and grilled. I was outvoted on the grilled but I have to say that the squid was perfectly cooked. Not chewy or fishy at all. Very tender. The breading was light and not greasy at all. The bacon wrapped shrimp were interesting. The shrimp were huge. They were drenched in BBQ sauce. I thought it was ok but I'm not sure about the flavor combo. We ordered a large plain and a large pepperoni. I thought the plain was delicious. The dough was good and not too much flop. The sauce was a bit sweet, which I like. The only issue is that the cheese and sauce didn't stick to the dough so it slid off while cutting. Overall, I think they did a great job with a large group during weekday lunch.

The space is very minimalist with nothing but 2 photos (?) on the walls. As the night progressed the noise level increased but not overwhelming so. I was concerned about the size of the menu with there being around 28 various entrees. In the past I've learned that less is usually best making it easier for the kitchen to perfect their dishes. This total did not include the 2(?) Special entrees. I chose the special Risotto Carbonara with guanciale, cream, mushrooms and cheese and was disappointed. The risotto was overcooked with the usual risotto "bite" missing. There was little seasoning in the dish and not much in the way of quantity of guanciale. In comparison, the Osso Bucco was very good with a rich gravy and side of mashed potatoes. I'm not sure if I'd return. BYO.
