Great service and excellent quality food! My wife and I were here in the area, so we decided to come back! We enjoy coming here because of both unique and traditional cuisine!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Beautiful interior, very welcoming, clean and well decorated for the holidays.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Attentive service, food came out fast. We walked in without a reservation and they let us dine for an hour before the next seating. We ordered: - Mussels in white wine sauce (4.5/5): very good but the bread pieces that came dipped in the sauce were overly salty - Large pancetta and mushroom pizza (3.5/5): on the saltier side - Large Giovanni's Favorite (4/5): good char but lots of tomato sauce, very floppy The bread basket that was presented at the start was delicious, maybe our favorite thing of the meal. Would come back to try other entrees. Plenty of pizza left overs - the Large size could easily fill 3-4 people.

Birthday lunch for the wife at Villaggio Iccara in Yardville this afternoon. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Decor was pleasant & immaculate, a very nice setting for a meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As for the food, EVERYTHING was superb -- from the appetizer & Sangria pitcher, to the entries, and then the desserts. Perfect size portions also, we left satisfied w/o being overstuffed. And the bill (before tax and the tip) was only $127 -- that's for three people -- meals, drinks, appetizer, and desserts. Service was stellar also, Dario was personable, friendly, and attentive. Couldn't have asked for a better experience this afternoon at Villaggio Iccara, this place is Top Notch. We are looking forward to many return visits here, I'd like to try the pizza, and the outdoor patio area looks inviting when the weather is more conducive to sitting outside. An Easy 5 Star Rating.

I cannot get enough of Villagio Iccara. I initially tried it for an after work dinner with a friend. It was a good halfway point for us. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Let me tell you, we were both blown away at how beautiful the place is, how friendly the staff are and how amazing the food is.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is incredible. It is bright and beautifully decorated and makes you feel like you're on vacation in the Mediterranean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We dined indoors but they have a beautiful outdoor patio as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We shared an eggplant appetizer - Parmigiana Quattro Formaggi - eggplant layered with 4 cheeses. So delicious. We also shared a huge salad - the Sundance Salad - Sliced panko and sundried tomato crusted chicken, artichokes, burrata, cherry tomatoes, oranges, mixed greens, citrus dressing. Such a delicious combination of flavors! On another visit we had calamarata organica - Calamarata pasta in nonna's sunday tomato sauce with creamy burrata and Sicilian fried eggplant. Fresh homemade bread is served before the meal. So yummy! Again, a wonderful combination of fresh ingredients and flavors. We also shared a pitcher of white sangria which was delicious, light and refreshing! They are a scratch kitchen and very accommodating towards requests and modifications. Hostesses were friendly & welcoming and our waitstaff were efficient and helpful. I cannot wait to return and try some more of their delicious dishes.

We ordered takeout as we were in a rush. We ordered their margherita pizza and cheesesteak. The margherita pizza on their website looks quite different from what we recieved, but it was still very good. Their pizza is made in wood fired ovens. Sauce is good, good balance of sweet without being overly sweet. The cheesesteak was very good. I have been seeing a lot of posts online of their cheesesteak. Great amount of meat and cheese without feeling too heavy. Crusty yet soft seeded roll. Would definitely get it again. Haven't been here for a sit down dinner in a long time. Plan to in the future.

Returning to NJ for some family visits and looking for dinner recommendations and this establishment was at the top of the list. Called for reservations (4) and met another couple at 7 for outdoor seating. Tyler took very good care of us and shared the daily specials with our group. He took our appetizer order and gave us time to review the menu. After getting our main entrees it was pretty quick delivery of the appetizer and we enjoyed it with some bread. Pictures of the entrees were captured after delivery. The meal was phenomenal with some leftover containers taken home. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A real cool feature of the outdoor seating was a retractable roof which they opened as the sun set.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great weather here tonight. We took advantage of the BYO Bottle of wine and the all in total plus Tip was $165.

The Southbeach calamari is unbelievably delicious, I have dined here many times and the food is outstanding. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior has been completely renovated and is more beautiful than ever.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The pictures here are of the old look.

Food was amazing! Service was great! Harvest bowl was delicious and the 90-Zero-44 appetizer was so unique and very tasty!

I was craving for pizza when I went to a dinner party at Iccara. Despite my heart being set on the pie, my mind wandered astray as I saw the other options on the menu. I ended up sharing a Cristina Pescatore and a Branzino special with my table mate along with several other appetizers. The basket of bread might have played a role in swaying my selection since the tomato pie slices and bread rolls were plenty satisfying for my craving. As it turns out, the Cristina Pescatore dish was a great choice since the portion was pretty big and the pasta was delicious. The Bronzino special also tasted great with the subtle sweetness of the fish. Ambience here is cozy and intimate, which makes it great for taking either a date or a small group of friends or family for a nice dining experience. I like that the lighting is warm and low but not too dimmed that you can't see the menu. Parking here could be a bit dicey at night since there aren't a lot of parking spots next to the restaurant, and residential area nearby doesn't have good lighting.

Really wish YELP had a 4.5 Star rating because Iccara is more than four stars but nothing in Life is really 5Stars (at least, I haven't experienced so far). Traveling from Boston to the south after 6+hrs on the road, pulled off into a standard Marriott for the night and was in the mood for some basic italian food. The front desk recommended this place and I couldn't have been happier. Not on the main road, it appeared that Iccara was a frequent stop for people who lived nearby and just knew what good italian food is. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When you walk past the take-out pizza and other food options, you get into a very beautiful dinning room.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu had everything you could ever want. I opted for the linguini and clam sauce and wasn't disappointed. My server was fantastic, attentive and answered every question I had. This place is another testiment to travelers to venture out past the parking lot of a stop-over hotel and get a taste of local flavor. With Iccara, you won't be disappointed.

We took my son here for his 24 th birthday. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Since he is a 24 year old autistic man he needed a quiet ambience and the veranda outside was perfect.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My sister and elderly mom from out of town loved their crispy salmon and gnocchi dish. My husband got crab cakes which were seasoned beautifully. My son got a margarita pizza, perfect crisp and sauce not too spicy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If it rained we wouldn't get wet because of the outdoor roof covered the tables while still being outside[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Best quiet birthday with delicious Italian food.

They were complemented with cocktail sauce, watermelon mignonette, and fresh grated horseradish. * Crab Salad Special: Served in a martini glass. It featured cold, chilled crab marinated with tequila, triple sec, and lime, carefully laid on a bed of avocado mousse with an Old Bay-lined rim. Delicious and refreshing during a hot summer evening. * Tri-Color Beet Salad: A roasted beet and citrus salad with whipped ricotta and a pistachio honey vinaigrette that provided rich bites. * New York Strip: Sourced from Allen Brothers in Chicago. A showstopper with excellent crust and beef flavor. We ordered the Au Poivre sauce, which was tasty, but the steak was so good on its own that I ended up using the sauce for my sides! * 14 oz Center Cut Filet: Also sourced from Allen Brothers. Tender as expected with a wonderfully executed crust. * French Bordeaux Wines: We ordered the Chateau Loudenne Medoc and the Chateau De Sales Pomerol. Both were tasty, medium-to-full-bodied, and served as excellent accompaniments to the steaks. * Tuna Special: Nicely seared tuna served over vegetables and udon noodles. * Limoncello Pistachio Tiramisu: Very light and a nice end to the meal. * Kentucky Butter Cake: Served in a cast-iron pot with vanilla ice cream. Yummy and rich.   THE SERVICE Our server, Gene, has been with the restaurant for 8 years and provided exceptional service. He was knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations, pointing out standout options like the pastrami-dusted bone-in filet and the 45-day aged tomahawk topped with a root beer bourbon bacon compound butter.   OVERALL A great steakhouse experience with a highly professional staff and a kitchen that flawlessly executes high-quality steaks. I felt like I was in the city with the gorgeous lighting and ambiance. My friend and I went on ladies night, where every Wednesday they have a DJ and 10% off food/drinks at the bar! We started off with 3 different apps, the zucchini fritte, the meat and cheese board for two, and the rice balls. Everything was phenomenal! The rice balls were stuffed with shredded beef instead of ground beef which I liked and the Gorgonzola cheese sauce was tangy and savory. The zucchini fritte was fried to a golden crisp and felt light and satisfying. The meat and cheese board is truly perfect for pairing with some pre-dinner drinks! Neither of us felt like drinking that night so I got the Stella Rose red berry spritz and she got the black berry spritz. These were fruity and sweet and perfect for a night out. Great alcohol free options. For dinner I got the cacio e pepe which came in a huge serving. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente and I really liked how creamy and cheesy it was without feeling too heavy. My friend got the eggplant rollatini which was a humongous portion and she devoured it and still had some for leftovers. These were both great meat-free options. For dessert I had the chocolate lava cake which was rich and decadent. Perfect for sharing but mine was all for me! My friend had the creme brûlée which she indulged on without a single bite to spare! Can't forget to mention the impeccable service! Our meal started with fresh baked sesame semolina bread that melted in your mouth. I ordered the spaghetti carbonara and my wife ordered the pasta with crab. Pros: I genuinely can't think of a single favorable aspect of our dining experience…read more Cons: Everything--from the service, to the table spacing, to the food quality--was an issue. The ambiance and layout were problematic throughout the meal. The table spacing was already uncomfortably tight from the start, and toward the end of our visit, a party of 10 was seated in a way that completely blocked off the front left side of the already small dining area. This left only a narrow path on the right side for entry and exit. Given how confined the space became, it raised legitimate concerns about safety and whether the layout could pose an issue in the event of an emergency. After waiting 40 minutes for the complimentary bread, I finally had to speak up and ask for it to be brought to our table. Given that there were several open tables both inside and outside, we couldn't understand why there was such a tremendous delay with such a simple task. For an additional "starter" my dining partner ordered the Caesar salad which was completely drenched in dressing. While we were initially excited about the homemade pasta entrees, we were extremely disappointed once out they arrived. I understand that homemade pasta is typically served al dente, but neither dish was cooked properly. I had to cut my pasta with a knife because a fork simply wasn't enough, and my dining partner couldn't cut several pieces of his pasta at all--some were still noticeably crunchy. I was especially surprised, as I've dined here before and don't recall these kinds of issues--perhaps there has been a change in the kitchen. Unfortunately, we weren't able to address any of this during the meal because our waitress, Marti, never checked on us from the time she delivered our entrees (about an hour after we were seated). Not once, not even upon delivering the check did she ask us how our meals were! Before leaving, I chose to address the server, Marti, directly and share our experience. I expressed my disappointment with both the service and the food, but her response made an already bad experience significantly worse. Every comment was met with a large, clearly insincere smile and a dismissive "I'm sorry to hear that," with no effort to actually resolve anything. A good server would show genuine remorse, offer to involve a manager, or at the very least attempt to make things right--whether by addressing the issue or offering to comp part of the meal. None of that happened. There was no accountability, no urgency, and no real acknowledgment of the situation--just a phony, rehearsed response that felt completely disrespectful. To make matters worse, shortly after we left, my dining partner became ill, experiencing both diarrhea and nausea, along with severe stomach pain that has now lasted over 14 hours and is still ongoing. If I could give this experience a 0 out of 5, I would.

We just quit going out for Italian other than for tomato pies, but now we've begun actively looking for a place to enjoy simple Italian food--outside of the ubiquitous tomato pies. Gennaro's was our first stop, with the menu definitely reading more New World Italian than Old World. We started with a couple of appetizers: The Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms in Scampi sauce and the Antipasto Salad. I'm not a fan of Antipasto salads (I've a three item max addition rule for salads and tomato pies), but my wife enjoyed it. It was your standard antipasto salad for the area--perhaps more generous with the meat and cheese than the last one we ordered up the street at Papa's. The stuffed mushrooms had a good flavor, and although the sauce didn't really hit me as Scampi (the garlic wasn't really there), it was still good on its own, and I'd order it again. My wife ordered the Pork Chop Giambotta, which she truly enjoyed. It was a thick, good sized pork chop covered with a sauce that included potatoes, sausage slices, and sautéed peppers. The menu said that the peppers were hot and sweet, but they were pretty much 99.9% hot peppers. If that's an issue for you, I'd make a point in mentioning it to your server first. My wife doesn't do spicy, but luckily I was there to find a home for the hot peppers, and she said she'd order it again if we returned. My Veal Saltimbocca, however, was a letdown. The veal was overcooked and had lost its tenderness, but most surprising to me was that it was very different from the standard version I've known for years. Had I read the description more carefully, I'd have caught the fact it was in a tomato demi-glace rather than the white wine and butter emulsion I know and love. Also, the ham that was used was not the thinly sliced prosciutto one normally sees, instead it was a thick slice of something that I can't honestly tell you was prosciutto or not. The use of spinach instead of a sage leaf wasn't a complete shock, as I've seen that before. Overcooked veal, the prosciutto mystery, and tradition straying aside, the flavor almost bordered on being alright, but it definitely wasn't what I'd hoped for when I placed the order. To add insult to injury, I asked for pasta as my side, and was given a couple choices--I chose the linguini and got served a dente-less spaghetti. When I asked the waiter (who was otherwise extremely conscientious and attentive) if they were out of linguini, I was told that there's really very little difference between the two, which so blew my mind that I just shrugged and ate. While we were there, we could see that there were many people who acted like regulars enjoying their meals, and many of them were also eating tomato pies, however, we're on the hunt for a place that's going to satisfy our need for an Italian place that provides beyond the pizza oven. I'm up in the air about a second shot--my wife was much happier than me with the location (which means we'll likely go), but I'll definitely ask our server more questions about what I'm ordering next time to avoid any surprises.
