I specifically said that there was no rush for the project, and he insisted they come out right away because he had double booked his projects. He said the estimate would be 'give or take $500.' Let me just say that the wall was left completely open from the washing machine. That's fine, since they were upfront about the need to have a contractor come repair the wall, but this was not included in the price. I received a bill for $550. I paid the bill, and the next day I received an additional bill for $280. I called and left a voicemail to speak with someone regarding this, and received no call back. I called a week later, and received a call direct from Sean. He was insistent that this was my fault since I did not request a formal documented estimate. Okay... I said maybe it is, since I trusted the verbal estimate he had given us. This plumber came recommended from the previous owner, so I just assumed they were trustworthy. I said to him, I understand we are on the hook. However it's a really horrible situation since we had been upfront about just moving, have a newborn, and were very tight on money. If we had known it would be almost $800 for 2 hours of work not including repair, I would have said no. Not right now. None of it was urgent, he insisted he come out within 3 days on a Saturday to do the work. He reinforced how I should have asked for a documented estimate and began to yell about how "I don't know what to tell you. I have kids. I have my own bills. I have my own bills to pay that would buy your house." Needless to say, said thank you anyway and hung up the phone. I would absolutely never recommend this company. They should be ashamed how they operate, and speak to people.
