Staff at the front window are such a different story, not in a good way. They were the ones in charge of putting together a referral that I needed a for a scan. What they handed me was a paper picked up from a stack, which seemed to be Dr. Hanamsagar's signature scanned and copied, with a generic note. I had my doubts whether or not the hospital where I'm getting the scan done accepting the note as a referral and should've been honest about that, but I ended up going with it. Sure enough, the facility did not accept the "referral" and was told that the doctor would need to write a more official referral. When I went back to the doctor's office, staff questioned why the hospital didn't accept the "referral" and seemed pretty irritated about it. My mom had to help me push the staff into putting together a more official referral. Overall, not a pleasant experience and haven't returned since.

One of the best ones is that a full fledged Health Care Center is centrally located on the premise. If you live here and chose one of your doctors to be your family practitioner, you can literally walk to your appointments! They seem to accept all forms of health insurance and of course Medicare. Other specialty doctors practice here part time and it is easy to make an appointment when they are present. Staff is super friendly and so far all my appointments have been on time. Dr. Narain is a really cool doctor and is super knowledgeable and friendly. I'm so glad to have this type of service right at my doorsteps.

Dr. Chung has been steadfast in getting each of my parents the specialists they need, listens carefully to their concerns and always follows up with their progress between appointments. I also can't say enough about the quality of the staff. In particular, Gilbert was so helpful in helping to schedule some pre-op appointments, knowing we were coming up close to the actual procedure. Furthermore, when Dr. Chung is not in the office, it is someone like Dr. Sophia Chun, who stepped in and really took her time to understand care to my mothers needs. It is this kind of teamwork, care and attention that is so appreciated and makes it so much more pleasant to visit a health care clinic.

TLDR: this office has the most LAZY and IGNORANT staff I have ever seen in healthcare. I will never…read morerecommend this office to anyone ever again until they do an overhaul of those girls. Aside from the fact that one-star is the lowest I can go, the only reason that I would give it one-star if zero stars were a thing would be because Dr. Cardin himself and his team of doctors are actually amazing doctors. However, their front desk and back office staff are absolute GARBAGE. I have never met such lazy and ignorant healthcare staff in my life until after I had my child. When I was going to Dr. Cardin for my OBGYN stuff, the staff there was amazing. It was such a shame that he closed down the OBGYN portion of his practice (probably to retire). His PCP practice has some of the worst staff my husband and I have ever experienced. They have a couple offices (one on the 2nd floor and one on the 1st). My husband used to go to the top office and I would go to the bottom. There have been SO MANY TIMES that we would call the office and get placed on hold, hung up on, or they simply just wouldn't pick up. We originally thought that maybe the office was so busy so they couldn't keep up (and this thought process came from giving them the benefit of the doubt since we had such a great experience from their OBGYN practice). As we continued to stay with the practice, my husband came to find out with his own eyes that the reason why calls are placed on hold or not answered (at least from the 2nd floor office) was because the girls are LAZY. He watched a girl answer the phone and immediately told the person to hold just so she can go back to playing on her phone. When she was done, she answered the phone. Even a doctor that is no longer with the practice admitted while he was there that the staff were terrible. In the last two-three years that we have been with them, we have had some insurance hiccups. Some because of medi-cal, some because of our paid insurance, and mostly because the staff is stupid. The most recent insurance fiasco came from this past week. Getting an appointment sooner than two-weeks from the day you call is almost impossible and I was lucky enough to nab one in less than a week. The morning (around 9-10AM) before my appointment, one of the front desk clerks called me to confirm my appointment. Everything seemed fine until 3:30PM when another clerk called me to tell me that I didn't have insurance. I was absolutely livid because this IS NOT THE FIRST TIME they've called us at the VERY LAST MINUTE to tell us that there is an issue with our insurance. My response initially was to correct her because she called me by the wrong name so I assumed that she was looking me up under the wrong information. She then confirmed my name and social and somehow couldn't locate my insurance. I gave her my member ID number and she still couldn't locate it. What made me livid was the fact that they called me in the morning to confirm the appointment - why didn't they check my insurance at that time? They had all day to check my insurance and give me time to get it situated but instead they waited until 20 minutes before they SHUT OFF THEIR PHONES AND SEND IT TO A CALL CENTER to call me to tell me that there was an issue with my insurance (there was NO ISSUE with my insurance by the way). The front desk clerk sent me to her supervisor who tried to talk to me in circles instead of answering my question. I know this tactic where they talk in circles to avoid having to take accountability. I wasn't having it. She ended the call so I called my insurance, who confirmed my insurance was fine and tried calling their office 6 times and no one answered. While I was on the phone with insurance, my husband called the office - they put him on hold then hung up on him. When he tried to call back, no one answered.
