The service was really good. Everything is done fresh so you need to be prepared to wait a little while for everything to get done. We decided to try the tika chicken sandwich. It took about 11 minutes to prepare. They also get online orders that are ready for pick up and so be prepared to have to wait for that as well If you just drop in like we did. We also tried some of the fries and I forgot what they were called, but they had a red sauce. It had a a lot of flavor, but I would not get those ones again. More of a personal preference they were good, but not my favorite flavor. They have lots of specialty beer and they know a lot about each of them. I was able to pick up one that I haven't been able to get since I visited that brewery. Unfortunately it's no longer available as the brewery can't keep up with the demand. But I was happy to get to reexperience that beer again. No, I understand what you're thinking. You pull up on this sketchy looking gray building that used to be a gas station but with no pumps. It does look plain gray on the outside. Do not let that dissuade you. The food prep area is kept very clean, neat and organized. The only downside is I would much prefer to eat many of this food for dinner and they stop at 4 PM. They offer other things here as well, so be sure to check them out. read more

So this place is RIGHT by my job, and I decided to just walk in one day because it says "craft beer destination" but looks like a normal convenience store. OH MY GOSH THE WALL OF CRAFT BEER IS INSANE! All good ones too :) they also have THC drinks if that is what you're in to. Walking down the aisles you can find international snacks (A5 Wagyu Lays Chips and Cinnamon Bun Oreos?! Yes please!) and your typical convenience store items. And on top of all of that, it smells so so SOOOO good in here around lunchtime. I had to order some fresh made food. I was feeling a Philly cheesesteak and honestly it was pretty decent. I would want to order their Chicken Tikka Sandwich next time though because that looks like insanity in a handheld sandwich! They also make their own pasta salads. As an Indian, I'm picky about flavors, and Upsala Grocery absolutely hit the mark. Every single bite was a flavorful hit! The Chicken Tikka Sandwich was the star of the show, the chicken quality was a perfect 10/10. I've lived in central Florida my entire life and have never stopped in here. What a wake up call! This looks like a convenience store and it is but with a focus on craft beers and international treats and candies. In the corner there is a small kitchen cranking out incredible food. We stopped in during the lunch rush and this little place was packed! They have a wide variety of dishes including a katsu burger. We tried butter chicken naan and a chicken Cesar wrap. The owner is so kind and accommodating. He encouraged calling orders in for pickup to avoid a wait if you're in a hurry. I've drove by this mom-and-pop shop for over three years now, been in here a couple of times for a pack of beer. Thanks to ThinkAAboutItPodcast for featuring them on their page, I just had to stop by and support my local businesses! Before I went, I messaged them on Instagram for a specific beer my fiance and I have been searching for since our recent vacation in Ocala. Couldn't find it at Publix, Walmart or Winn Dixie. This craft beer was that hard to find. I sent them a message and the same day, they responded that it will be delivered tomorrow! Coming today, we stopped by and there is was - two fresh cases of the beers we've been longing for in Ocala. Waiting for us in the fridge. It's called Duke's Cold Nose Brown Ale. Best brown ale in Florida! On top of that, they let us try a bite of their famous chicken tikka masala sandwich. They weren't wrong - it had a kick but it was so yummy. Perfect portion of everything. Met the family and friends of the shop, Justin who helped us secure our ales and Neil who checked us out and made sure we got the beer we wanted. Justin is awesome! He said anytime we are looking for a beer, just send him a message and he'll try and get it. My fiance and I were speechless. This place is the spot. Wow, this little unassuming convenience store has so much to offer. Their craft beer selection is super extensive! They have snacks, grocery items and a ton of beer and canned drinks! Also they have a breakfast and lunch menu!! They have a bunch of sandwich's, including things like a mango habanero chicken sandwich, quesadilla, chipotle chicken wrap, breakfast burrito, and a Philly cheese steak! Unbelievable. We are new to the area and this is the second place we've tried. We are blown away and very excited we are only 6 minutes away. The food is like an explosion in your mouth, full of flavor but with the perfect consistency. We will be back and often. My husband and son got the tikka masala sandwich and my daughter got the fried cheesesticks, I got the veggie burger. We ALL said it was the best chicken sandwich, best veggie burger and best mozzarella sticks we've ever had. We shared the tandoori fries and they were delicious! Kids already want to go back. Originally from the Tri-state area, and new Floridian. One thing I've missed so much since moving here is getting a good bacon egg & cheese. Let me tell you, THIS PLACE IS NOW MY GO-TO! They serve it on a croissant, I always ask for butter too and the sandwich is delicious every single time. Their Cajun fries are also delicious & they give a great portion (hubby and I usually share a small). Workers there are always kind and friendly. I got the small Cuban, $9.99, and it was excellent. I never have Cubans w/o Tabasco...except today, I did not need it. Every bite had a crunch in all the right places! Moist and well seasoned it was! Upsala is truly a hidden gem! I've heard this place has a great selection of craft beers; my boyfriend and I were finally in the area and decided to check it out. At first glance, it looks like a basic convenience store. Even when you walk inside, you might be confused, but explore into the back aisles, and you'll find a haven of craft beer selections. Do you like IPAs, stouts, sours, lagers? Whatever, they have it! We grabbed 8 brews to try; there were a lot of other sours we wanted, but needed a cooler for so we'll be back for those. We noticed they have a food counter with some yummy selections. As we were looking at the menu, a friendly employee politely asked us to order soon if we wanted anything as the food stops at 4pm usually. It was 3:58, so I thought it was super nice they were still willing to take an order. We chose to share a small Philly cheese steak and small Cajun fries. The Philly was delicious and the fries were crunchy and flavorful (and a big portion for a small in my opinion). They don't have seating, so to go is your best bet, or just enjoy it in the car like we did. The go to for this sort of place is the chopped cheese (think if a cheesesteak and hamburger had a baby). And this one was no slouch. It really brought everything I wanted. Whoa, I didn't expect much from a small grocery store but when Lemonhearted recommends something I normally take her word! We just popped in for one sandwich the Tikka Masala Sandwich, for $10.99. They make your order fresh, so it took around 10 minutes. There's a great selection of craft beers and different snacks here too. If you want to skip waiting, they are on Uber Eats. The Tikka Masala Sandwich with fried chicken sandwich was delicious. It came with a potato bun, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and jalapeno. The sauce is a little spicy if you're sensitive to heat. *UPDATE* I had their food and it was amazing!! They have specials listed on little chalkboard signs and then a full menu posted on the wall. I got The Thicc One which was a burrito with chicken, 3 diff sauces, peppers, French fries, etc. goodness gracious was it delicious! It was huge too! I only ate half of it and I'm usually the type to finish my meals. My friends got the tiki masala quesadilla and a spicy chicken sandwich. I suppose we were unlucky because many others have posted large pieces of chicken but our two sandwiches both were lacking with only a couple of tender sized pieces that didn't cover the bun. I was also really excited for their craft beer selection. It was heaven for me as a big fruity and sour beer fan. Unfortunately that is the bulk of their beer options so there wasn't much for my hubby who does not like fruited or sour beers.
