I recently had a wireless keypad installed, which took about 30 minutes. The invoice came to $368, far exceeding what I expected for such a short visit and a $49 part. I was charged $125 for that $49 part, which is a significant markup. When I asked for a breakdown or an explanation, I received little clarity and was told, "That's just how we charge." For context, I was informed their standard rate for 30 minutes is $205. Since their emergency rate is $250, this charge felt excessive and difficult to justify. Compounding the issue, the invoice listed the wrong town and address. This created unnecessary confusion and delays and, frankly, made me question whether I was even being billed correctly. Overall, the lack of transparency, questionable pricing, and basic administrative errors made this a very frustrating experience. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you value clear communication, accurate billing, and professionalism.

By Saturday night around 6:00 PM, the gate was completely out of whack, wouldn't close properly, and I was completely stuck. I called Silence Garage Doors and Gates in a panic, expecting to just leave a message for Monday. Instead, Tal picked up, didn't hesitate to help, and offered to jump on a video call with me at 9pm. Patiently walking me through the steps, Tal diagnosed the issue and guided me through the adjustments. In just 10 minutes flat, the gate was realigned and working perfectly again. When my garage door went off track, I found California Garage Doors on Yelp and they came out to…read morelook at the door. Leo was prompt, and quickly took care of the problem, with a price that was fair and reasonable. I happened to ask him if, while he was there, he could fix my front gate since it had some issues closing. Leo looked at the issue and quickly took care of it, as well. I knew I was pressing my luck, but I wanted to ask one more thing, since Leo seemed to be some kind of miracle-man. I had wanted to install a keypad outside my garage door to be able to open and close it, but a previous technician had told me it was not possible due to the location of the garage door motor. When I told Leo that, he took it as a personal challenge, getting up on a ladder and climbing to the location of the motor, going above and beyond to see whether the "impossible" was in fact possible. And what do you know, with a little diligence, Leo saw that the motor could be accessed in its location by opening a small panel in the drywall (you'd have to see my garage to understand). Miracle man status achieved. Even though he didn't have any keypads on hand, he was willing to go buy one for me, come back and install it -- which he did quickly and according to my specifications. Overall, it was the kind of encounter with a business that makes you want to log in to Yelp and leave a 5 star review. I will certainly be coming back to California Garage Doors for any future needs, and would recommend them to anyone in need of Garage Door-related installation or repairs.

Myself however, if someone does good by me, I am happy to spread the word on Yelp. We recently got 3 bids to replace our garage door and Leo's company California Garage Doors was one of the bidders. Not only did Leo beat everyone else's price by several hundred dollars, but he was quick, efficient, reliable, and produced the exact door that we ordered in UNDER the timeframe that he told us to expect for it to get made. Love our new garage door and love Leo and the EXCELLENT customer service that he provided on our job. I will only be using Leo for all of my garage door needs and I expect that a few of my neighbors may see our new garage door and order one for their house as well !
