The owner, Jennifer, has done a wonderful job in making us loyal return clients. While I have never had a massage with Jen before, I have had one with Jessica (who sadly is no longer working there) and it has been nothing but stellar each and every time. I am looking forward to seeing the rest of the talent Welcome Relief has to offer now, however! When you walk in, the air smells like essential oils and bliss. While the business itself is small (I do know that they are planning on expanding or re-locating) it's a perfectly intimate fit for anyone. The decor is simple yet relaxing and the music really sets the tone for your massage. I do go to other places for different massages (mud-wraps, salt scrubs, etc), but Welcome Relief is the ONLY place I would recommend for excellence every time in basic and advanced technique massages.

I am no stranger to massage but i have never had a spa bath or a facial before. The spa house is quaint and antique. I absolutely loved the feel and ambience of it. I arrived a few minutes early, used the lady's room and almost as soon as i sat down in the waiting area, i was greeted and told that my bath was ready. I was taken into a dimly lit room where i had a nice warm bath of mineral water waiting for me. There was a robe, a towel, and a hand towel, along with a little chocolate and ice cold water. I was educated on the detoxification properties of the mineral bath and advised to drink a good amount of water. After my 30 minute soak, a gentle knock on the door was my friendly reminder that it was time for my massage. I dried off and slipped into my robe and the slippers they provided. The sweet lady helped me carry my clothes to the massage room. Next, my wonderful massage therapist came into the room. We went over the basics then she stepped out while i got myself into position on the table. I've had Swedish massage and therapeutic, deep tissue & sports massage. My knotted up body was ready for whatever she was willing to throw at me, and she delivered!!!! It was the perfect balance between Swedish and deep tissue. Just the right amount of pressure with relaxing massage. Next came my first ever facial! You know that moment after a massage where you are feeling like a bowl of pudding and you really don't want to get up? A facial is PERFECT for this! I still got to relax and get a nice facial massage while my body woke up. After, my face was soft and absolutely glowing! If you're in the area, i highly recommend The Medbery Day Spa!

We go to spas quite frequently and I don't feel like arriving 30 minutes early is out of the ordinary. He was under the impression there was a sauna available to use as well. We entered the waiting area and sat quietly when the owner popped her head out and asked if she could help us. My husband responded with "we are here for a 1pm couples massage" to which she responded "no you're not." My husband proceeded to pull up his confirmations which he received at time of booking/leading up to date of service. She said "oh I won't be ready for you until at least 1:15pm". We said okay and waited outside on the porch. We went back in at 115 and started our massages at around 130 after changing. No robes or anything were offered. We had booked a 90 minute so expected to finish around 3 pm due to our late start. When they left the room after finishing we checked the time it was just before 240. He also had prepaid the services and when we finished was asked for payment. We were not offered a choice of Swedish or deep tissue and massage for both of us felt more like a back rub. Very unsatisfying. My husband was so disappointed and apologetic after the fact. At no point did the owner even offer us an apology let alone some sort of compensation.

I also suffer from severe migraines and sciatica. Every masseuse I have been to always asks where I want extra attention but I've never had anyone deliver like Erin! She has a lot of knowledge in the area and has taken extra courses to provide AMAZING relief for people who suffer from pain like myself.
