Tram and Staff are attentive to the children and provide structured care while allowing the kids to explore, interact and grow. Meals are provided throughout the day, and they follow food groups. All concerns regarding allergies are respected. Definitely inquire with Tram, and she provides a detailed packet and orientation. Overall, I loved the experience I had due to the easiness and trust I was able to build with Tram and Staff. Olive was taken care of and also progressing well in her social development. Organization of Mama Bear Academy reassures you that your child will be in good hands. Pictures are sent in the beginning few weeks and then upon request. We've been sending our son to Tram for about a year come this June and we couldn't be happier with her services. Finding quality, reliable, and most importantly trustworthy childcare is close to impossible! I can't rave enough about Tram, she's our family's Mrs. Rachel where I feel like we have to protect and remind her how valued she is towards us. She has taught our son so much from communal dining, community safety ( he understands to stop when a fist is made and he's told to stop, which is so incredible when a child is running off at a park), singing, and just playing without the distraction of tablets and tv. He's so incredibly happy here and I'm at work at peace knowing he's loved, well taken care of, and given attention as if he's the only kiddo at her daycare. I didn't cry dropping my daughter off the first day, but I was bawling as I drove away on her last. This daycare has been a gift to us all and was worth the wait to get in. I had no worries that my daughter would be taken good care of when I drop her off. Huge plus that they also provide meals and snacks, and she eats everything they give her! Don't know why it has taken me so long to write a review but here I am! I have been sending our two boys here, now ages 2 and 4 at the writing of this review, since 2018. Tram, the owner, is amazingly kind, gentle, and communicative. She is very patient with all the kids and possibly even more importantly, parents. Seeing her traverse the enormous stress of the pandemic has made me appreciate how amazing she is as her heart is always in the right place. She always puts the kids first and her facilities are top notch. She has a huge backyard with a large play area, she has defined spaces for play, reading, etc. She has a few employees that help her and they have all been very nice. She is very responsive via text and phone. My older toddler has been learning a lot of letters/phonics/etc from her packet/worksheet work with the kids. Not sure what else to say other than I trust my children with her every day during the work week and she gives us that piece of mind which is totally priceless. read more

I highly recommend Mama Bear Academy! My daughter has enjoyed being there, it's like her 2nd home. Tram and the grandmas really care for the children. They make nutritious meals and they have a huge backyard with toys to play with. My daughter is a picky eater at home, but will eat everything made at daycare. Tram also plans such amazing holiday celebrations for the kids. My daughter kept talking about the Easter egg hunt the daycare had for probably a month after. I love how Tram incorporates educational learning with activities like circle time and a few worksheets to help children learn the basics like numbers and abc's. Most of all they can just be kids, there's no pressure for them to complete a checklist of milestones to "graduate". I'm a firm believer that children will learn on their own pace. Our child started with Mrs. Tram when he was 11 months old and now almost 4, he demonstrates almost all his pre-requisites to Kindergarten. My child had tons of practice for school basics, and the art work he came back home with always looked like he had fun. I thank my lucky stars to have my son at Mama Bear Academy. Tram and staff are naturals when it comes to care for babies/toddlers/kids. I feel utterly safe knowing my child is under their care. There's structure, routine, curriculum, lesson plans, healthy food, and the backyard is a dream for kids! She even helps with potty training which is a huge plus. My son comes home with "papers" that he's done throughout the day which could be coloring of the letter of the day or an art project he did as examples. As an educator myself for nine years, I wanted to find something for our daughter that not only provided her a chance to learn social skills, but also give her some engaging learning opportunities too. Let me explain a bit about what I love the most about Mama Bear and why we chose this daycare for our family. Ms. Tram and her staff use real life situations to teach students, such as table manners at the meal table: how to use "please" and "thank you," how to ask for second helpings, use a napkin, eat over your plate, etc. When I hear my daughter interact with close friends outside of daycare, she's one of the only 2 year olds saying "excuse me" when she wants to pass by someone. This is a hard skill to just teach at home. Ms. Tram's facility is clean, well cared for, and provides an engaging environment for your child. You have the family feeling of home, as it is a home daycare facility, but at the same time she handles it professionally. I have walked into several of these in home daycares and the provider puts up 1 or 2 posters that have the ABC's and calls it a daycare. This is not going to get your child ready for kindergarten. Ms. Tram does circle time with songs, stories, review of letters to provide an introduction to phonemic awareness, and plenty of chances for children to make choices of what they'd like to engage in next. Meals are all homemade and nutritious. I have Ms. Tram to thank for my kiddo not being a picky eater- she comes home and asks for those green leafy veggies and various ethnic foods because of Mama Bear. She also knows moderation and provides treats from time to time (with parents' Ok of course.) Birthday celebrations are not just about 1 goodie, but a pizza party with decor as well. Ms. Tram's backyard is amazing- it's where I want to play too! She has a play structure that's both safe and accommodates various age groups. A bicycle track where kiddos can ride their play cars or tricycles. As well as plenty of bark so less scraped knees happen. My daughter been going to Mama Bear for almost 2 years, and Mrs. Tram and Grandmas took great care of her. Every day my daughter would bring home art works and show off to my wife and I what Mrs. Tram has taught her in school. Beside from being a wonderful teacher, Mrs. Tram has helped quite a lot when I have questions about how to deal with certain "Behaviors" that my daughter has at certain time. Where do I start? First, Id like to give a big THANK YOU to Tram and her staff for their professionalism, the love and care they provided to my son and for providing an educational and fun curriculum as well. I was in need of a loving and nurturing daycare to place my son in back in May. Tram responded immediately, we took a tour of the very clean and well equipped home daycare, got acquainted and by the following week, my son was officially part of the academy :-) Although it was a rough start for my one year old (separation anxiety), Tram and her staff were very welcoming and understanding of the situation. Everyday was a challenge for my husband and I to drop him off. Tram always assured both him and I and our son that everything will be ok. And it always was. She was very patient and even gave us tips on how to make it easier for our son. Those I appreciated a lot. To be able to work with each other for the best interest of my son. Kudos on that! My son was always happy when I picked him up. She always made sure he ate his supper, rewarded with a snack and had a clean diaper on before he went home. And I always loved how happy of a little guy he was when we got home. Full tummy + fun day = a peaceful evening for mommy and daddy :-) I can go on and on about Tram and Mama Bear Academy. I just love and trust them so much :-) I'd like to add that due to a recent layoff with my job, we had to make the tough decision to pull our son out until I return to work. BUT! My Dayanna started going with Tram 2015 all this time she was very well taken care by her and the grandma's. Her routines did good with my preschooler at the beginning now she is kindergartener. I highly recommend this day care. My oldest has been going here for over 3 years and despite moving to the other side of town, I still drive out of my way to bring her and my newest 6 month old to Tram because I know I can trust her and that she takes great care of my children. Her backyard is amazing, huge with a play ground, baby swings, and a large path for bike riding. The kids get to play outside a lot, which Is great for them. I would consider this more of a preschool than a daycare. Tram spends a lot of time on education and my daughter is very well prepared for Kindergarten thanks to Tram. She is kind, and patient with the kids but also expects good behavior and works on manners as well. She also provides 3 meals a day and has been great at getting my picky eater to add more fruits and veggies to her list of foods she will eat. I enrolled my son at Mama Bear Academy about 2 to 3 years ago and prior to hiring her as my son's caregiver, I had toured other places and never felt as comfortable as I was when I toured Tram's home. She has security cameras evwrywhere!! The way Tram runs her daycare/preschool shows how much she loves and cares about each and every child that is enrolled into her program. Her home is tailored to the children from baby gates to a full backyard as a playground. She provides meals and snacks for the kids and also hosts birthday parties for each child and also is kind enough to buy gifts for them during Christmas time. Everything is organized here and nothing is ever a mess! Her number one rule is no TV for the kids, everything is educational and fun which I loved. Unfortunately my son is 5 now and doesn't need her care anymore but I definitely would recommend Mama Bear Academy to anyone looking for a affordable daycare that has people who actually cares about your kids and their future. read more
