Kelci, the Laundromat manager, promised to sort colors and whites, but even did better! Our order was a big jumble when it arrived, but Kelci beautifully sorted everything -- sheets and towels, pants, shirts, socks and underwear all placed in separate see-through plastic bags that made putting everything away so much easier than expected. Kelci was very modest about what she did for us, but her work was truly above and beyond. While we hope to avoid our pest problem in the future, when we need a Laundromat for any reason, we'll be back with Kelci and North End Suds!

The original location who did the alterations wouldn't take the job as (1) it's the week before Thanksgiving and (2) I needed it by Nov 28th. I called Alterations Plus Wednesday evening 20 minutes before they closed, spoke with Jay (the owner), and he told me if I came in at 8AM the next morning, they could get it done. AND THANK GOD I WENT WITH THEM! Maria, their bridal seamstress, was just amazing. She saw exactly what needed to be done and got it fixed in 24 hours! My dress fits better than I did after the first alterations. Despite this entire experience beginning with complete panic, Jay, Maria, and Megan put my mind at ease. I cannot say this enough, thank you thank you thank you! I highly recommend this place.

The women here are kind, but that's about the only good thing I can say. I honestly don't know if they're inexperienced or just have never worked with a Black woman's curves before, but not one, not two, but three of my dresses were completely botched. I also had a top altered and it came back lopsided. After the first round of alterations, the owner tried to gaslight me, saying they had only adjusted the strap for my burgundy dress (which was never the main issue). I initially asked for the sides to be taken in because the bust area was too big, but somehow, that got lost in translation. So I paid AGAIN, for all to be fixed and what I got back was even worse. Everything felt rushed, uneven, and downright sloppy. I bawled my eyes out because these dresses were meant for my birthday trip. The white dress? It was the most horrendous one, imagine the outline of Sarah Baartman on a modern-day garment. That's how distorted the shape was. Even after a third attempt, the seams were still crooked and the dress was unwearable. I'm now left dressless for my trip and out of money. If I could give this place zero stars, I would.

I was very specific about the details--monogram placement, font, and even requested that my name be done in all lowercase. Unfortunately, every item was done incorrectly. The monogram on the scarf was placed upside down (so when worn, it read incorrectly), and both the sweatshirt and pajamas were embroidered in the wrong font and not in lowercase as requested. When I brought this to their attention, I was told the original items could not be corrected and would need to be replaced and re-embroidered. To their credit, they agreed to repurchase the items. However, when I returned to pick them up, none of the items had been embroidered at all--and the pajamas provided were not even the correct pair. At that point, I requested a refund for the embroidery services I never received. I was told the employee present was unable to process a refund. I had to insist on getting something in writing stating that I would be refunded, but I have little confidence this will actually happen. I have not received a phone call, email, or any other communication to try to rectify the issue or send a refund. I've since filed a dispute with my bank. Between the repeated errors, lack of attention to detail, and inability to resolve the issue properly, this was an incredibly frustrating experience--especially given that these items were meant for a special occasion. I would not recommend this business based on my experience. The level of inaccuracy and lack of follow-through here is simply unacceptable.

I've debated writing this review for quite some time, as I truly love supporting local businesses…read moreand believe even if mistakes are made they are human and deserve second chances. I reached out via Yelp to schedule my wedding dress alterations in advance of my wedding date last September. The day I showed up I wasn't told in advance I needed heels and was told we couldn't proceed even though heels were actually available for this purpose, and nobody told me. The owner did reach out to me to come back and I had to reschedule for another two weeks later as I was already home at that point. I came back to set up alterations confirming that the hem would come up 3 inches to accommodate heels and for it to fit comfortably I would have to lose about 10 pounds. This was no issue. When I came back to try it on I'm not sure why (as it was never explained to me), but the straps were shortened in such a way as you can see in my photos that my breasts had no support and were flattened or the material moved depending on angle of photo. Not happy. They put in a zipper for the buttons which I was grateful for. I had several weeks prior to the day I needed to pick up scheduled as our wedding was out of state. When I showed up, it was not ready, not pressed and I had to wait while they finished. I'm glad I double checked it on my way out or I would've left the state without a dress that was done as I asked for a bustle that was not on the dress, even though I had asked for it and paid for everything in advance at the last appointment. I am not a picky person or hard to deal with when it comes to brides. We had a simple elopement and were very flexible with changes as they came. I find it beyond frustrating that for such a big event, and given the other amazing reviews (which is why I picked this business), that I had nothing but issues. The pricing was great, but Tim seemed to be the only person on the same page as me. This seems like a family business, so I was really bummed this didn't work out. As you can see in my photos, the stomach portion was still loose (with the ripples) and could've been taken in to fit more appropriately. The straps shouldn't have been taken done without the bra area being adjusted to support me. It's so hard to look at my wedding photos because the lack of care to my dress is so evident. The day of my elopement the bustle broke and a button came off of the zippered area. For this reason, unfortunately I would not return or recommend. I was hoping for a much better experience considering how important this was and how understanding I was working with this business despite all the issues that occurred.

Bill, the owner greeted us and made my son feel very comfortable. We walked in a few minutes before closing and he stayed open for us. Bill made all recommendations to my son from the color of the tux and bow tie to the shoes he wore. He then called everything in while we were still there to make sure everything was available. The tuxedo looked spectacular! We are going back to rent another tux for my son's senior prom! I HIGHLY recommend Suburban Cleaners Tuxedo Rentals.
