So good we came twice! We stopped by the first time for breakfast - We arrived to an about 70% full house but were seated immediately. Our waitress was friendly & attentive throughout our visit. Girlfriend had the Cinnamon French Toast (which she LOVED) with Egg & Bacon ...I had the 2 Egg Omelet which was great. Decor & atmosphere of the place definitely had a hometown dineresque feel. We enjoyed our meals here so much we stopped back a day or 2 later - this time for dinner. I went for Turkey & Dressing, while the GF reprised her breakfast entree from our first visit ;) Again we had a primo experience & excellent service - next time in town, we'll be back for round 3! Mama Jane's Eatery occupies the location previously held by Perkins. As I was staying at the Quality Inn across the street, I enjoyed breakfast here on several occasions and was most pleased with both their food and the attentive service I received. At first. I thought I was going to really miss the old Perkins, but no. Mama Jane's has pretty much not only duplicated but somewhat improved upon the old Perkins menu. I had their eggs Benedict and found them to be exceptional and the side of fries I had with it to really be superior not only in taste but in flavor and texture as well. The decor is rather blah, but it's basically a diner, so pretty much what I would expect. And being in Warren, a parking lot full of pickup trucks. LOL! read more

Please see the two attached pictures. One is the Stir Fry that is advertised with lots of veggies and a little rice. The second picture is what I actually received. It was almost all rice. There were some carrot sticks, some peppers, and some pieces of celery. The rest was all rice. No broccoli, no sugar snap peas, nothing like the stir fry pictured in the ad. I typically want to support smaller restaurants, but I just can't support this. It was terrible. The ONLY redeeming factor was the zesty orange sauce. It was really good. read more

Fast, friendly service with some good home cookin'! The restaurant was clean and also had a nice breakfast buffet. The wife and I got the lunch combo that consisted of a half sandwich of your choice and a soup. I got a turkey sandwich and they homemade creamy cheeseburger soup that was delicious! read more

I was excited to go to a new place in a town that has very few places. Mama Jane's inhabits the old Perkins location but is a more modern comfortable place. The decor is quaint and country and totally fits the town it's in. The restrooms are sparkly clean and new. The service is quick and delightful. They give kids a coloring page and crayons upon request. But what looks good on the outside doesn't always match the inside. While everything about the place was amazing the food was just meh ok. At the time of service based only on our one meal and what I witnessed at the tables around us the food needs some help. The patty melt sandwich...the burger is so tiny you are mostly eating bread. The onions are few and uncooked. I do love that they give you an entire mini thermos of coffee. Saves from having to ask the server every time I need a top off. While the coffee was hot the food was not. There is a problem with food temperature. I saw a few tables return food back to the kitchen to be heated up. That would include my meatloaf. While I did not send it back (I was hungry) I should have. The flavor of the food was ok. The meatloaf is good but missing seasoning. Salt and pepper helped but it needed a garlic boost or something. Potatoes are real and not instant. What would have put this over the top was if the gravy was made from scratch rather than the packet/can version that most restaurants like this use. I can forgive anything if the gravy is outstanding. Put in the little extra effort and it will show. The French fries were the best I have ever had in my life so there's that. Portion sizes match their extremely reasonable prices. I would recommend this place with the stipulation that you only order something that needs to be made on the spot like pancakes or eggs rather than something that is pre-cooked like the pot roast or meatloaf. This place is pretty new so they just have some kinks to work out. When they fix the food temp coming out of the kitchen I will bump up the star. Overall I think Mama Jane's will serve the community well. read more

Had lunch here today (Sunday) around 3 PM and was very impressed! Wait staff was attentive and pleasant. The interior of the former Perkins Restaurant has been completely modernized and looks great. The food was exceptional. Meatloaf dinner full of flavor, generous portions, and crisp vegetables in the side salad. Prices are appropriate for the size of the meals. It's going to easily become a go-to spot when looking for an eating establishment in Warren! read more

Good, Bad , and the ugly....Staff was very friendly and helpful. That's where the good ended....I ordered Meatloaf with mash potatoes and gravy....the gravy was cold (kinda ruins the meatloaf and potatoes). The wife ordered grilled fish with mac and cheese. I tried the fish, couldn't tell it was fish, no taste whatsoever other that the pepper she put on it herself....While I didn't try it, she took one bite of the mac and said, "I can't eat this"....how do u screw up mac and cheese on that level?
