The hostess at the front desk seemed visibly annoyed when we checked in. She was impatient, dismissive with her gestures, and even rolled her eyes in front of us. I don't know if it was because we were a family with children or for some other reason, but it made us feel very unwelcome. Honestly, we were close to leaving. Our kids were hungry and tired, so we decided to stay and give the restaurant a chance. Thankfully, the gentleman who served our table completely changed the experience. He was friendly, professional, and patient. He took the time to explain the menu, answer our questions, and recommend some of the restaurant's popular dishes. His attitude made us feel welcomed and appreciated as guests. The food was very good. We enjoyed the seafood paella, grilled octopus, broccolini, cheese plate, and several other tapas. The flavors were great, and the dishes were well prepared. The kitchen and our server delivered a much better experience than the one we received at the front desk. Management should pay attention to how guests are greeted because first impressions matter. The hostess nearly convinced us to leave. The server convinced us to stay.

Like the opening scene from "Casablanca" - "they wait, .... and wait,...and wait." Dishes arrive, one at a time, sporadically. They say the dishes arrive when they are ready. So here's an idea: organize the kitchen so that the food for a table is all ready at the same time. You know, like restaurants do. Maybe it works if everything is " for the table." Speaking of the tables: a table for four is too wide by 6 to 10 inches. Your dining companions are so far away that you cannot hear them - unless you shout, which may explain why the place is so loud you can't hear anyone at your table. To add to the raucous ambiance, our table was situated in front of the doors the wait staff used to access the outdoor dining. By "in front of," I mean maybe a foot or 14" from the back of the chairs to the door. Close enough that the waiters are squeezing between your chairs and the doors. All in all, a mediocre experience. To be fair, the food is very good, which is why it gets 3 stars. Except for the crispy calamari which was probably good when it was hot.
