Ordered to-go when we walked in and sat for 30 minutes- card in hand and ready to pay, while being ignored by our server. We got tired of waiting and walked to the counter where our food (which was quite bland) had been ready and waiting for quite some time. The cashier said "sorry I just got here" instead of fixing the problem or comping our meal. $30 and All we ordered was the large pepperoni roll and a to-go drink that they didn't even give us in a to-go cup. we were in town for the Strawberry Festival and during the parade on Saturday we stopped in here. it was recommended by some friends. We were greeted promptly and sat down by the window and watched the parade. The food was GREAT. Best chicken alfredo EVER. My wife had the chicken Parmesan and we both took over half of our meals, iced down, back to Ohio for dinner the next night, This cute restaurant has the best food, great prices and huge portions. Fantastic meal at Mama Roma on quaint Main St. of Buckhannon. From the first smell as you enter, you know it will be delicious as garlic wafts through the air. Quickly seated in the cute dining room with original brick walls. Friendly service. Food was delicious! The pizza looked amazing yet we did not have. The salads were nice but the garlic rolls take the prize! Yum! Entrees were also excellent - one enjoyed Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and another the Stacked Eggplant which far exceeded expectations. Great presentation!Would hands down return!!! Pizza had far too much grease to where toppings slid off from crust and overall flavor was very bland. Typo on menu saying they offer Coca Cola products, but instead only offer Pepsi products. Service was excellent. read more

Chef Marcio made an amazing meal. We started with bruschetta for our appetizer and it was probably the best I've ever eaten. Then had salad with a wonderful house made balsamic vinaigrette. The kids had pepperoni pizza with a crust that was to die for and the marinara so light and flavorful. My daughter in law had the eggplant parmigiana and I the eggplant rollatini, both were superb! Most of the the best dishes we ate were good: * The best garlic bread is different from others in that they are large rolls instead of Italian bread. A soft pillow roll loaded with garlic, which is absolutely delicious * Margarita Sicilian (Pan Pizza) with added pepperoni. I had a gift certificate so I tried out Mama Roma for the first time. The garlic rolls were soft and had plenty of garlic. The salad was good and came with more than enough house dressing. The last thing I tried was the Greek pizza, I would definitely order it again. It was some of the best pizza I've had in the area. The service was very polite and attentive. Food was so good I forgot to photograph it before we ate. We started with the eggplant stackers which is a take on caprese salad with a few rounds of lightly breaded and fries eggplant, with a drizzle of balsamic glaze. We got a large pizza, extra toasty, Mama's house special which was kind of like a supreme pizza with pepperoni and meatball slices, so good! Our waitress was also very friendly and helpful. Newest restaurant on Main Street. Large, clean and well lighted. Two window side tables. Approximately 12 to 18 additional tables. Our server was friendly and attentive. Our meals were large and satisfying. Quite unexpectedly the fried calamari may have been the best we have ever sampled. My Italian salad was huge and full of Italian meats. Excellent Italian good and the lunch menu prices and very large portions of food. I had the chicken parm, which came with two pieces of chicken with red sauce and mozzarella on top, a large helping of spaghetti with it. You have a choice of a house salad and soup to start. My significant other, and I were staying in Buckhannon on Friday 10/06/23 before to going to the Forest Festival in Elkins the next day. We have had some good meals in Buckhannon over the years. But we decided to try someplace different. Big mistake. We went to Mama Roma about 630pm. It was clean and visually appealing. The server was cheerful and seated us quickly. There were only 2 or 3 other couples there and 2 servers. My GF had spaghetti and meat sauce with a tossed salad. She said it was good, nothing special. I had the "Italian Feast" with a creamy chicken tortellini soup. The soup was very good. My entree, on the other hand... No so good. It was supposed to be a combination of baked lasagna, baked rigatoni, meatball & Italian sausage. I regret I didn't take a picture. I regret even more that I ordered it. The sauce was a very small amount and a bit sweet and thin for my taste. There was about 2-3 small bites of lasagna, 3 very thin slices of a tasty meatball and 4, 1/4" discs of sausage. But, what this dish consisted of was almost entirely rigatoni. It was topped with a little cheese and placed under a broiler. That melted the cheese but also nearly burned the edges of the massive serving of rigatoni with crunchy, overcooked edges. A nice looking restaurant. But I doubt that I'd recommend it or return for a meal. read more

My second visit to Mama Roma shows standards have remained just as high in quality of food and service. We were greeted seconds after entering. Restaurant was packed but they accommodated us quickly. Veal parmigiana with a side of spaghetti, salad and garlic knots was delivered in a very reasonable time frame. Two tender pieces of veal the size of my hand for $18.00. I cannot say enough about this place! First of all, I'm a vegetarian so menu options are generally limited. There was plenty for me to choose from, and I had a hard time deciding. I settled on the Rigatoni ala Mama. As I was waiting, I second guessed my decision because I'm always disappointed with the eggplant. To my surprise, the eggplant was prepared correctly! It was delicious!!! PLUS it comes with 2 garlic rolls - imagine a cinnamon roll, but with garlic! I ordered lemonade as my drink. Yet another very pleasant surprise! It's REAL lemonade!! Not the drink mix over-sugared garbage found everywhere else! The atmosphere is almost perfect! It's a very clean and cozy restaurant. It's set up so you can actually see your food being prepared! I love it!! I love the trellis over the doorway and the flowers hanging from the ceiling! The food was a little pricey, BUT the portion is huge! I ate my dinner and had two more meals the next day. My one and only disappointment is I live over 2 hours away. However, I will be making excuses to go to the Buckhannon area just so I can eat here again! read more
