Wow... I wasn't aware of your game Ahuevo. I'm always on the hunt for a good burger and you guys…read moredid NOT disappoint. Mind you, this was a DoorDash order so I'm even more impressed. First, I really appreciate how well packaged everything was. Second, it arrived in perfect and steaming hot condition . Thirdly, the portion was actually insane . I stg 5 bites in I gave it up lol. To be fair I'm not the biggest eater but I loooove a good meal and this was just that! Also please don't be fooled by the angle of the fries, i had already eaten some and i assure you it was full to the top. I ordered the smash burger and added caramelized onions and bacon because bacon . I also fries with a side of cheese sauce(gotta have it ) the first bite almost 100% healed me. This thing was HEAVY ! I appreciate when I can taste the freshness of ingredients . The cheese was a stand alone star all by itself . I know I say this allll the time but it's true. It's my first experience but it will not be my last. My total was 25.28 before tip and 39.26 after. Thanks so much guys and keep up the great work and consistency!

Ahuevo's Double Smash Burger (the most popular item on the menu) delivers a classic smash burger…read moreexperience elevated by thoughtful execution: two 100% American beef patties, real American cheese, fresh lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles, and a signature secret sauce all nestled in a soft, buttery brioche bun . The patties are seared thin and crisp at the edges, which maximizes savory beef flavor and adds pleasant texture contrast. Reviewers on platforms like Restaurantji and TrustTheCrowd praise the balance of juicy meat and tangy toppings, and mention the locally‑made, fluffy bun as a standout feature . With a price around $10.99, the burger offers strong value, generous portions, and is consistently described as reliably excellent by a staff that clearly cares about service and ingredient quality. Good Mexican ambiance. Complementing the hearty burger, the Agua de Jamaica hibiscus drink offers a refreshing tropical contrast. It's a lightly tart, floral iced tea served from a newly added menu item at Ahuevo in Chicago--typically around $2 for a 16‑oz cup, making it excellent bang for the buck . The drink's bright crimson hue and crisp flavor cut through the richness of the burger with a clean finish. Customers often pair it with breakfast tater tots or egg sandwiches as a cooling palate cleanser. For those seeking a lighter, more refreshing beverage alongside a savory and hearty sandwich, the Jamaica drink is a perfect match. Overall, Ahuevo nails the fundamentals of a smash burger--think juicy, seared beef, crisp toppings, and handmade brioche--while their Agua de Jamaica adds a smart, refreshing foil that rounds out the meal beautifully.

On a busy Saturday, I decided to order ahead for myself and my hangry kids. We ordered Italian,…read moretuna and prosciutto subs. We also threw in an order of tiramisu and the large canoli. We were quoted a time of 20 minutes out. We arrived a little early and the gal at the counter told us it would be a few minutes. She called out when ready and sat at one of the tables in the front to eat. Each sub had a decent amount of filling. While we each offered the smallest subs, we were plenty full when we left. We enjoyed our subs and now have a place to add to our list for a new quick lunch. For the store itself, they have some odds and ends but many Italian staples. The counter and deli had a steady flow of customers in and out.

As I parked this large Chevy Suburban parked in front of me. As I sat in the car & saw one person after another unloaded & head towards Potbelly. In all I counted 8 guys unloading from this Suburban. & head to Potbelly. I'm like oh hell no. That's when I saw CONTE DI SAVOIA @ 1438 W Taylor Street on the north side of Taylor Street. I decided to cross over & check out this old world Italian Deli. Conti Di Savoia is small Italian grocery store w/an Italian deli that has w/outstanding & inexpensive sandwiches. When I went in there was a line of people waiting @ the deli counter waiting to place their order. I must have looked confused because the owner directed me & told the line started on the other side towards the back of the store. What I found was an awesome of fresh handmade sandwiches for a very reasonable price. I ordered an 8" pastrami w/mozzarella cheese, shredded lettuce, tomato, red onions, mayo, & Italian oil drizzled. What I got was an awesome inexpensive sandwich loaded with/fresh ingredients. Absolutely delicious. After I got my sandwich the owner (I introduced myself (I think his name was Mike) rang up the sandwich. He said they have been there for 35 years. There's also a small dining area in the front of the store where I sat & devoured my sandwich. Like I said this is small Italian store w/a nice selection of products like meats, cheeses, pastas, wine, olive & deli items. I throughly enjoyed finding Conte Di Savoia. The pastrami sandwich was awesome w/a generous portion of pastrami & toppings for a reasonable price. I'm the type of person who who loves finding new places to eat. Most times unless I find great food & reasonable prices I won't go back but I feel like I found a real gem W/Conti Di Savoia. I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK AGAIN.

There was a line going down the aisle, but it went quickly and the folks behind the deli counter were quick and efficient. The bread was able to maintain structure after getting dipped, the sandwich was hot and filled with beef, and the vinegar from the hot peppers helped cut through the richness of the gravy. The deli is situated in the back past the rows of Italian goods and fridges of prepared foods. I wish I lived in the area; the pinwheel sausages in the deli case looked incredible! No tables or chairs, BUT there is a thin, small counter at the front where you can stand and devour your sandwich. Can probably fit 4-5 people and was perfect for us to just quickly stop and enjoy the sandwich. Was worried that we'd have to travel back to our hotel or eat on the side of the street before the sandwich got too soggy, but the counter saved us! So glad we came here.
